Usually, I watch others play games and spoil it for myself, so this is my first blind playthrough in at least 10 years.

Yeah you did, but it doesn't look like nightmare difficulty and you already did some other areas. I typically rush this first on the highest difficulty.

True, I've actually never played or seen it tho but I'll heard about it a little bit, I've never played the legacy nor any dlc for Dai, couldn't really afford them when they came out so I'm looking forward to playing them for youtube

Yea I tried to download a mod once for dragon age and I couldn't get it to work, seemed a lot more complicated than stardew valley mods, I even looked up a how to video and followed every step and still couldn't get it to work so I'm just going to stick to the vanilla game for now

A lot of mods for the game don't work if you've visited an area on that save previously. Merchants, cut item mods, etc.

Yea I haven't really gotten into the lore in the other game, this is actually the first time that I've been reading any codex actually, I know pretty much just all the surface level lore but nothing deeper. I'm really looking forward to reading more in the next games.

Also Barkspawn can find stuff at the mountain top that is rare elsewhere if you have him search. He can find a unique helmet in the deep roads too near the Aeducan thaig iirc. For lockpickers you need to keep the skill maxed, and stack a ton of cunning. To unlock the highest tier chests require 75 cunning and at least 3 points in locks if you want to save a point.

I didn't know about the mountain top loot, I'll definitely go up there and try gotta still kill the dragon but the deep road helmet is called duty, right for the elffort gear, I got the whole gear set my last playthrough. Also I'm usually a rogue and when I am I never miss a chest.

Well, I will definitely try to do that, I try to finish up all side quests during the Denerim phase of the game.

I wanted to do that too, I did but I needed Leliana I didn't have zev yet and I actually looked up if it was possible to persuade her and it said that I could but I guess I didn't have enough in that skill to do it yet really sucks but I will be doing that in my next youtube playthrough where I'm "evil" muahahaha, lol. This playthrough hasn't really turned out the way I wanted it to but I really am enjoying it regardless and I wanted to play it mostly how I normally would, in that regard it is and I'm mostly proud of how it's going so far.

I probably should have done that, later I'm planing on playing an "evil" character and maybe even disfriending everyone. I've never tried it before I think it might be fun.

I think I've only been a dwarf two times and only finished the game once as one.

They get 8 gold from asking the scholar for money, the iou from Dace for speaking up on the surfacer dwarves behalf that sells for 30 gold. Stealing, then selling all items including the helm from the tourney. Repeat the stealing process in ostagar twice, you need two points in stealing and high cunning to potentially steal 2 gold oe a master rune from Duncan in Ostagar, then lothering missions and selling off most itemd. It's enough gold to buy the spellward from Bodahn, etc.

Yea in a later episode I find out I can kiss her and she is only in the interested phase of liking me lol, and I haven't played bg3 before but will definitely play it for youtube

For the main character elf mage, for the bonus starting caster stats. You dip into blood mage not for the abilities but the bonus con and spellpower, and spirit healer for the +2 magic. Just basic magic or spellpower stacking using wisp, and spell might with shale's aura which is +3 base stave damage and +10 spellpower. Hexes, good staves, and crowd control with basic attacks.

Here ya go, I got bored at work and made a list of gear, etc. Don't forget staff focus, and to level shale into the stationary aura tree. Elf, +2 willpower and magic. Blood mage, +2 spellpower and constitution. Spirit healer, +2 magic and +0.5 combat health regen. Level ups: 5 magic, next level 3 magic 2 willpower. Spell wisp, spellpower bonus is 100 + SP multiplied by 0.05. It stacks with spell might. Spell might, spellpower bonus is 100 + SP multiplied by 0.1. Activate Spell Wisp, then Spell Might, then deactivate and reactivate Spell Wisp. Helm of Honnleath, +2 to all attributes but requires 18 strength which you can get by skipping willpower boosts. 18 instead of 20 because of the +2 from key to the city. Vestments of the Seer, +9 willpower and +6 magic. Elemental damage gloves, +20%. Key to the City (ring), +2 to all stats. Elemental damage ring. Lifedrinker (amulet), +4 spellpower. Fade Striders (boots), +1 magic/spellpower. Staff of the Magister Lord, 7 spellpower base with an additional +6 spellpower and +10% fire and spirit damage. Inflicts cold damage.
