S-max Handbrake Release Cable replacement - in-situ with X8R part. No need to remove handbrake!
Replacing the snapped Handbrake Release Cable on a Ford S-Max with redesigned part from X8R.
I followed the videos on there (see link) to learn how to remove the covers and trim and a comment on the reviews said that you could do it without removing the handbrake so I gave it a go - with success!

    Very useful guide. A couple of additional tips. Tape the end of the cable to the end of a long cable tie to feed it down the upright and guide it out in front of the pulley. If you remove the lower trim from the passenger footwell and side of the central console unit and also the storage pocket, you can do the job without removing the main part of the console.
