Fenrock Climbing Centre
United Kingdom
Приєднався 12 лют 2018
In 2016, Fenrock began in a small barn in the flatlands of England. By 2020, we had expanded to an 8000 sqft unit, serving an area with a population of under 50,000 people.
As a family-run business, we hold community values at our core and strive to create a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone can embrace the physical and mental benefits of climbing. From our small team’s friendly faces to our exceptional café brewing irresistible coffee, Fenrock is more than just a climbing centre - it’s a second home to over 10,000 climbers annually and counting.
Now, we're creating content to bring climbing to even more people and using our space for more than just a climbing mecca.
Join us as we teach you how to climb, take part in fun challenges, and give you a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a climbing gym in the heart of the English countryside.

Cool
Wow
Zone 2 is bis 😀
Would love to see a video of you two talking through any old videos or photos you have of the actual building and design process of the centre! What it was before, any struggles you ran into and how you adapted etc. 😃
Great idea! Nate Vlogged a bunch on his personal channel so he can pull some from there!
Oh my gosh. Your gym looks amazing! I don't usually boulder as it's hard on my old knees but those walls look so fun that I'd love to try a few easy ones.
Thank you! We also set a lot of blocs finishing at the 3m mark of all grades right up to V8.
Hoping to be back next week for a climb 🙂
Yay!
Good fun idea :)
Thanks! Turned out to be pretty close, maybe 6c+ / 7a
@@Fenrock Nice. I think you'd have to lose the little screw-on to get closer to the heinousness of the high right foot smear. 😄
@@PeakDistrictBouldering definitely! Although the top of the fiberglass volume is still too good lol
14:40 xDDD
aint no way XD, my fingers
ALL OF THE YES 😍
It's ready for you!
It's ready for you!
Where is your gym located? I'd love to visit. But I'm guessing that's not a Texas accent I hear. 😊
Sadly not, we are across the pond! Maybe one day there will be a Fenrock over there!
@@Fenrock Go team GB! Go Toby!
These are sick, but I'd be worried about such big. solid, hard resin holds cracking over time due to repeated fastenings. As an aside, is it just me or is the audio wonky starting at 9:55 onward?
Love the video content recently!
How excited amanda seeing the lads face 😂
I'm 58 and I can say all 3 of those things have happened for me since I started top rope climbing. Climbing is awesome!
Amazing to hear! Great job on staying active ❤
Music is quite loud. I struggle to understand the talking.
I forget the name but it’s a 7b dyno
Looks good! Although I would say that there isn't anything closely resembling that flat foothold in between the start and the zone on the actual rock...
It's a tough one as the scoop / slab is pretty hard to replicate so we had to push the feet out a bit. Also setting a huge dyno over a volume is always a bit risky so this was the safer option considering the amount of people of all grades that were probably going to try it :)
yo dude, crazy video. i didnt even notice that yall were a small channel. I thought this was a really high quality video.
Can you guys do a giveaway of things such as like vouchers climbing shoes or even like chalk bags and stuff just wondering
Cossack squats are great for opening up the hips and getting some blood in the legs! Some hanging scapula retractions and jumping to random holds on the woody gets the upper body going too:)
Wish more gyms set outdoor boulder replicas - really cool that you guys did this!
The perfect loop
Nearly!
Love these brushes!
He is such an amazing guy too
Z😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
these are sick
Friction factory did a great job!
🤔
Enjoyed watching the process, also the audio is much better
Starting to dial it in ❤️
I grew up in Fontainebleau, and when I heard you say the closest rocks from your city are 1.5 hours away, that made me a little sad. Sending you some love from France :D <3 GL with the channel :)
Thank you! What's worse is the closest rocks offer very little top quality climbing 🥲 Thank you for the support! Hope you have had a lovely summer in the forest!
daaaamn those holds look sick! If i lived in England I'd definitely come check those out 😅
Get onto your local gym to buy some 😉😉
Super dope! Although, I can't help but think of all sorts of nasty scenarios that would fit right in with a Final Destination film. What happens if one of these bad boys busts off on you on an underhang or anywhere you can get a good lever on it, and bops you or someone else? Seems like modern climbing holds became hollow for weight/safety considerations, no?
the weight of the modern big macros is considerable now and actually they struggle to re enforce them at the fixing. They have been rigorously tested and the tensile strength of epoxy resin is incredibly. 5 to 6000 psi Basically as long as there fixed properly there pretty much impossible to break them or rip them down I’ve tried. I hope that answers your question. There actually according to the science stronger than fiber glass.
Also if you’re interested check some videos of epoxy strength tests it’s literally Bulletproof!
Funny!
Perfect match!
Stoked about all the views! 🥹
Thank you for sending them to us! Glad we could hopefully get them out to more people!
Thank you to Friction Factory for sending us these holds! We all had so much fun playing on them!
Loved the feel of these!
We all said how amazing they felt!
Looks fun! Cant wait to come in and climb that tomorrow!
Just like font... without the pine trees, the sand, the sun, or the pastries.
FOR THE BOYZ!!!
My red flag is im convinced i could do this
Don't worry, we felt the same and had to call Liam in to test it!
I used to go to this exact place and their really nice also it’s worth it for how much fun it is you should consider it
@@Justakidwholikescats awww thank you!
My guy is spider man
Was nice climbing this one yesterday and then seeing its evolution while being set!
Did you get the flash?
@@Fenrock I did! It was a bit sketchy but better on the second run.!
Good bloc, good video. Thank you Fenrock!
Thank you for commenting 🖤🤍💙 glad you liked it
Can't wait to try this one!
Hope you like it!
