My Favorite Beaches in Michigan's Thumb
Michigan has some of the best beaches you can find anywhere. Coast to coast, it has magnificent beauty. The Great Lakes make this state a beach lovers dream. This video focuses on the beaches in the thumb of Michigan. I drive around the thumb and show you some of my favorite beaches. Starting at Caseville, I head out and drive up the coast. Some of these beaches are nicer than others, but all of them are worth a look, if you're visiting Michigan. If you live in Michigan and have never seen these beaches, you should do yourself a favor and jump in your car and head out to one or all of them!

We own 70 acres in northern Michigan. It's off grid property. Shipping Container garage and a camper. No hookups from the city. Electric is from the generator. Water is brought in. It's beautiful land, but it's also work. Lets see if we can get some basic things done. This off grid acreage is an adventure and we're learning as we're going.

This one is for the local peeps in my town! The place is called The Local Tavern Bar and Grill. Its on Sheldon and Warren road. One of the best buffets I've ever had. 22 bucks, gets you all you can eat. Come on down and try it out! It's delicious and the food is fresh. Staff is nice and they even have live music on the weekends!

Totally agree. We were there at Christmas last year. The food was very disappointing. The best food we had was probably a chain restaurant. But I do have to say we were quite happy with no but that is not in key West.
For years I would buy a fish sandwich from a Fish Wagon On Eaton street in Key West. Last year the gave me a sandwich with two tiny pieces of grouper the size of two chicken sandwiches. $ 20 .00 for it. Rip off.
Russian-owned temp agencies have taken over kitchen staffing at many restaurants throughout the keys. ROC uses these agencies to launder money and bring workers here on temp visas, knowing theres no enforcement for overstaying a visa.
I agree! AWESOME VLOG! We’re taking a cruise in November and are looking for dives to eat at while in port. THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO AND TIPS and for showing the menu’s and prices and food reviews.

I’m not sure. Our cart was a gas cart and I think most of the rental carts on the island are gas. Good question though.
Whats the name of the gas station you's got the Gyros @ that you ate in your hotel room? What is the band you had playing " Here I go again on my own " @ the 4:15 minute mark???
It was a fast food place called Miami Subs. Pretty awesome Gyros. Song name is; DJ Quads: Here I go Again.

You really missed out not going to mo's and tavern n town. Goldmans and the dolphin deli are also good. El siboney is great though. Shanna key was my favorite place to get fried fish, delicious and cheap, not a tourist trap, but it has new owners now and idk if its the same!

Do you recommend any hotels that are not expensive but clean and decent enough?
The Havana Cabana is where we stayed. It’s not what I would call a budget hotel, but it’s also not as much as a lot of other hotels on the island. It was a great hotel and the pool is fantastic. The entire vibe of the hotel is awesome. I can’t speak for other hotels, since this is the only place I stayed at.

Not expensive does not exist in key west lol but when I go home and don't want to stay with my parents I stay at the seashell motel, it's perfectly fine imo. Usually the cheapest but I haven't stayed there in a while.

Thanks! Shaq shoes are my favorite shoe of all time. I always wanted them as a kid and never was able to get them. When they started re-releasing them again, I made sure to buy two pairs. One to use and one to sit on a shelf. I love those things. LOL. And yeah, food trucks are the best! Any time I go anywhere on vacation, the food trucks always win over sit down restaurants.

Thanks! Street food is always where it’s at. I’ve been on vacation in different places and ate at some high end restaurants. The local street food is always better.

@lsourcel It was a place called Miami Subs. I had never seen a Miami Subs before. I guess it’s a chain fast food restaurant. People really seem to like it. The Gyro was pretty delicious and being from the Midwest, I eat Gyros all the time at Cony Island restaurants.

Those vents will help prevent condensation on the ceiling and walls, but what about humidity? It looks pretty humid up there.
I live in Miami. I used to go to Key West regularly, for work or pleasure. The last time was in 2019. It's gotten crowded, lost it's Florida charm and has become unbearably expensive. Nice place to spend your money on liquor, cigars t-shirts, sunglasses and food trucks. There are only like, three or four really GOOD restaurants still in business, including Siboney, a great Cuban place that's off the beaten track. La-ti-da.
