@@inMuroHaving sex which is under the umbrella of intimacy is important it is ordained in a marriage that's why sex IS important. So regardless of how you look at it. Intimacy is connecting two people physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
And Yes it is wrong if your partner is withholding intimacy on any level and not giving reasons hence why they are in therapy and why it has been brought up in therapy.

This happens to people all the time. The guy is really trying to be patient, he's amazing at it. The girl is trying to figure it out to 'fix' herself for him, but with sex, the more stress there is to 'fix' something, the less turned on you're going to be. She's afraid he's gonna move on, and that's the trouble I think she's having. The guy's pretty easy, he just wants sex, and wants her to want sex with him. They both don't want to lose intimacy with each other. Maybe if she knew how much he just needed to feel that she wanted him, she would feel less self-conscious. This is true. I was with someone who was overweight and I just couldn't do it anymore. Everyone I was attracted to was physically active and had the physique that showed it. I was also physically active so it was a mismatch from the start.

They need to do the 5 love languages quiz. They expect different love languages.
