The Price of Vengeance [ENGLISH SUBTITLES]
When someone asks me what my favorite movie of all time is, I think of Ferris Bueller's Day off.
If you put yourself in the shoes of Ferris, this movie is the ultimate teenager power fantasy. You're a white male teen heartthrob with a hot girlfriend, a lackey who does whatever you say despite protest, doting parents, a sister that is envious of you and your ability to always avoid trouble, a baffoonish principal who you always manage to outsmart, and the admiration of your entire community which rallies together to help you when they think you're ill. You get to skip school and go on fantastic adventures without consequence. If that's all there was to the film, then I probably wouldn't think much of it. Ferris Bueller's Day Off would be just a decent goofball comedy, probably one that wouldn't persist through the ages. However, Cameron singlehandedly saves the film and gives it all the heart and substance to achieve its status as a classic. He is so good that some believe he's the real protagonist of the story. While initially seen as a victim of Ferris' irresponsible antics, it's clear he is really a deeply insecure, troubled fellow desperate to escape the loveless family life he finds himself in. Ferris seems really inconsiderate at first, until the few times throughout the movie where he breaks the fourth wall to talk to the audience about Cameron, saying that he actually loves him and wants the best for him. Ferris wants him to break out of his shell, have fun, and realize his potential. The scenes where Cameron "goes berserk" and becomes catatonic feel genuine, and the scene where he kicks his father's car feels earned despite its change in tone. Easily the best scene in the movie is when the trio go to the art museum, in particular Cameron staring at the painting. Brilliant, impactful visual storytelling, there. Ferris Bueller is a great film, worthy of praise and analysis even today. I totally see why everyone loves it.
I think this movie is underrated actually in fact I would say it’s better than the first X-men trilogy I just cared about the story more in this one The movie’s only flaw is Deadpool so I give this movie 8/10 I don’t understand what people hate about this movie besides Deadpool
@@Mohamad-m7md glad u enjoy it dude! i enjoy it too, but more in an ironic way🤷♂️
It’s not forgotten, it’s just not considered a Deadpool movie

YAY THE KING HAS UPLOADED
MY FAVORITE UA-camR!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEEEEEE
LOVE U BOOO
What’s awesome about the movie is the plot wasn’t really planned, they kinda just winged it. Which makes it just that more realistic and relatable.
I lived my senior year like Ferris and I have absolutely no regrets coming out of high school. Was an amazing experience saying yes to life
I took the day off after 4th of July, watched this masterpiece again and found your video, I’m just thankful, man
Here is my perspective of this movie. The main character was a narcissistic self absorbed sociopath whose only concern was using and deceiving people to get his own way. He lies to his parents, he impersonates a parent, he uses his ‘best friend’ to the max who is emotionally brittle from an abusive father. Please refute anything I say.
This is the only movie I will never get bored of. It’s just perfection. I have to at least watch it once a year which I don’t do with any other movies because they often get redundant.
Certainly in my top 5 ever movies
I feel exactly the same with Ferris Buellers day off!
I realized that my wife and I were old when we had our 19 yo son and his girlfriend watch FBDO with us one evening. While we were laughing our A_ _ es off, they just sat there politely quiet. Damn! My spouse and I were hs teachers btw.
The Breakfast Club is probably my favorite movie or a least top 3 but I also love Ferris and it's a great movie to watch when you've had a s@it day.
Just watched it yesterday. It hasn’t aged very well, sorry to say
how so?
@@WazilianFilms well, the pacing, the editing, the way some scenes are shot… I was 14 when the movie came out and had the “original“ experience
@@rhk4680 that’s interesting. i think this all has aged incredibly well. pacing wise no scene drags or is cut short, the way it’s shot feels very much of the time but i don’t equate that to being aged poorly. and the fast paced editing really suits the pacing as well
@@WazilianFilms just not working anymore for me
@@rhk4680 fair enough🤝
What about Back to the Future? That is my favorite movie of all time. Back to the Future Part 3 and Ferris Bueller are tied for my second favorite movie of all time! The character of Jeannie, brilliantly played by Jennifer Grey, really made the ending of this movie great. What a pleasant surprise it was when she saved Ferris from Mr. Rooney!
back to the future is an all timer for sure
@@WazilianFilms Yep! And John Hughes' Planes, Trains and Automobiles is up there too! So many hilarious and heartfelt scenes with a great ending!
No
Stupid liberal bs movie not watching that garbage
such a fantastic movie please people go and see it its truly incredible. #savethewasteland
Furiosa is probably the best Action film yet for 2024, i love it so much
it fucks so hard bro
Another woman boss ill pass bring back mel
what does this even mean?

I love this movie also, but, for me, it's not a movie about Ferris Buehler. As pointed out, he is a static character, and, quite frankly, an asshole. I prefer tales of redemption. I love this movie because of the Cameron and Sloan characters. Cameron is the one that gets the most out of the day off. He grows up and becomes a man. He NEEDED this day off. Yes, that's exactly what Ferris says, so perhaps he's not 100% asshole. But still, the movie is not about him. Sloan is eye candy, and I am a guy, so eye candy is OK. I had so many dreams about Mia Sara back in the day, and I know she's done other movies, but this is the one that made her my fantasy girl for a while (until another fantasy girl came along). I also love the character arc for Principal Rooney. Of course, his arc is negative. He goes from a vindictive bully to a defeated shell of himself. I own this movie on DVD and watch it several times a year.
Great work. Thank you!!!!
100% Ferris best movie of all time. Class of 84....
Great job on this video. Thank you so much making it and sharing your thoughts. Brought me back to when I saw it in HS. We all wanted to be Ferris, but were all truly Cameron. Cheers.
I have memorized every sound in this movie and love to recite it. I have watched it innumerable times. Fave movie ever.
same here. i can recite the whole thing word for word, song for song, sound effect for sound effect. i cant even begin to count how many times ive seen it
Mr. Peterson, I think I owe you an apology. Well I should say you do!
I bought a new sports car a few years ago, and the way that I announced it to my friends was by sending them a picture of Ferris and Cameron staring into the garage and then a picture of my new car. 'Ferris' is an enduring classic. The other thing that you didn't mention about Ferris Bueller is that he's not a sports star, he wasn't a great musician (at all), he was a somewhat young-looking average guy... who really liked to have fun. The other thing that I read online somewhere was that the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off was one big daydream. The entire thing. Maybe Ferris was daydreaming it. Maybe Sloane was daydreaming it. Maybe Cameron was daydreaming it. But most importantly, we were all daydreaming it.
Nice! This is the review I've been looking for
I thoroughly enjoyed your fantastic summary of this cherished classic! Thirteen-year-old me walked out of a matinee screening of the movie in 1986 feeling high as a kite I loved it so much. It instantly became a favourite and remains so to this day. I'm very happy the movie got you, too.
it’s one of those movies i can put on at anytime and never ever get tired of it
Hey Zill, how ya been? This does look like a good movie.
Everything works in this film: acting, the director, music, costumes, an intelligent script, what more could you ask for?
breakfast clip is so beautiful

I was going to get stoned and watch madame web with my friend, but the day we went (on the opening weekend) our cinema moved it out of the theatre with the comfy seats, so we decided to watch the bob marley movie instead.
i’d honestly rather watch this train wreck than another generic biopic
@@WazilianFilms REAL
@@WazilianFilms I would say it was good, but I was absolutely zooted watching a movie about a guy who smoked a pound of weed every day and sang music so I basically just spent the entire thing going "THATS SO ME" so I may have been a little biased

I just watched it for the first time. I thought it was okay. Very average. I'm puzzled as to why it's so popular.

Thank you so much Zoe!
Excited to catch up on the year and watch a lot of these, whenever they are finally streaming, so in fifteen years I'll have watched them. From what I have seen, Oppenheimer is my favorite movie in years. Tough for anything else to contest. The Spider-Verse movies feel weightless to me, not a fan. I think they get overhyped because superhero movies are so underwhelming on average.
that’s understandable
A very good list. Are you on Letterboxd?
Yeah! I linked my account in the description
@@WazilianFilmsI’m following you now. I recommend Still: The Michael J Fox documentary and All of Strangers. All of my other favorites of 2023 made your list!

Oppenheimer’s speech scene is probably my favorite scene i’ve watched in any movie. Oppenheimer trying to appeal to the audience and act tough while the movie makes it extremely clear that he knows the horrors he unleashed onto the world and sees the suffering and torture it would cause to the people in front of him hits really hard. The editing and effects really drive it home and perfectly convey the absolute terror he feels at himself. Even if its only #10 here that will always be perfect to me
frrrr that scene was insane. best scene in the movie imo
okay fine I'll watch the new Spidey flick
my work here is done😎
