Hi, nice video. Just a quick question, I am guessing the spike trap was just a token based and you make it invisible in the configuration for the tokens (stealth on and off)?
Yeah the spike trap is just a token, you manually set to be shown/hidden to your players by clicking a button when the token is selected. I personally call this the GM layer due to it being called that in Roll20.

Since the method above for Perception checks above wont`t work for me, i found another solution that uses actively the Passive Perception attribute with no rolls involved. Follow the steps above but set the Triggers > Actions with the following actions (example with passive perception cd of 15): 1) Action: Filter by attributes Select Entity: Tokens within Tile Attribute: skills.prc.passive Value: >= 15 2) Action: Check entity count Select Entity: Current tokens Collection: Tokens Count: > 0 If none exist goto: Leave blank 3) any action you want if passive check is a success eg. Pause, Message etc. like above TL.DR: set actions to look as -Filter Tokens within Tile with <skills.prc.passive> ">= 15" -Check entity count, Continue if Current tokens "> 0" -any other atcion if success. EDIT: you might change in the Setup to toggle on "Token must have sight to trigger" and "Once per token"
Might want to go a little slower as this is hard to follow even if you pause it

"Tucker's Kobolds" are pretty legendary as i've heard, but i wish there were some substative examples of what kobolds with traps could do.
The main reason why there isn't some examples already is due to traps being mainly in the realm of the DM. If you want to see what kinds of traps kobold's get up to I would recommend taking a look at the adventure that is in the back of the 4th Editions DM Guide. That deals with kobolds that have some traps and is more tactics focused as well

Bit of necromancy, but is there a way to make it pick one of a selection of scenes, if say I have a dozen 'wilderness' maps and want it to pick just one of them?

Respectfully, this isn't much of a tutorial. Very hard to understand how you got from point A to point B from the perspective of a novice.

1. 4e is not a “black mark” on D&D history and perpetuations that wholly incorrect and harmful stereotype doesn’t help anyone 2. 4e was successful as far as the wealth is generated for WotC is just didn’t generate as much money as they wanted it too 3. The “sacred cows” of D&D (Vancian spellcasting, for instance) are what makes D&D what it is for some people - those people hated 4e D&D because of changes like that - but that’s exactly why I LOVED 4e

Players with restrained and paralized effects still can move their tokens. Is there a way to prevent them to move with those kind of effects?
There is a bit wrong with the video time marks, its all minions at the end. Also 4E was not as much a fail as people make out of it, you can search for it, but it always made more money than pathfinder.

HI There, great tutorial. However I cannot figure out why my trap is not auto applying damage, if attack hits. Any Idea Why?

@@Bam1435 Are you at least able to have it auto attack and determine if the attack hits? I an unable to make this happen. It only shows me the attack roll. I have MIdiQOL set up such that when a character or monster attacks each other it auto detects hits and applies damage but not with this.

Downloaded all this but for some reason the light effects dont do anything when activated, they pop up in the chat but they dont actually light up anything. Any ideas?

The biggest problem with "darkvision" is that it's commonly tied to a racial feature and, if it were truly a biological feature developed through the evolutionary process, it should function similarly to the vision of nocturnal animals who commonly have rather keen eyesight in all but absolute darkness. DMs, in my experience, tend to rule that darkvision prevents discerning just about anything beyond basic shapes within arm's reach. For example, the elf in the party was prevented from determining whether something was a bipedal humanoid or a four-legged chair and I found that absurd. If "darkvision" is not actually any sort of reliable vision in darkness then it should be renamed to something more appropriate, like "Rough Guess If You Squint And Maybe Light A Match" or "Don't Let This Feature Be A Deciding Factor As It Is Useless Because DMs Are Biased Against It".
I don't understand how the scene becomes activated for the triggering player if the tick box for activating isnt selected. I get that it would drag everyone in to the new scene which im trying to avoid but the background playlist from the landing page is still playing when you click the tile to take you to the new scene. How do you have a new scene activate for just the triggering player?
People still support wotc? Foolishness I bought foundry vtt. One time fee. Pathfinder rules are a free modules. I use Dungeon alchemist for very quick maps. Also a one time fee.
I wanted to try this amazing Landing Page but the Monks Module doesn't work for my version (11 Stable) Do you have some advice?
What is the issue that is causing Monk's not to work? Sadly the Monks module is required to get the on click effects

Hi! I'm new to Foundry VTT and this is just what I wanted, a way to make the Perception check automathic for the traps ahead. But in my case, a window from TokenBar pops up to select the roll I am asking for. By default it shows what I marked in the triggers (Perception check), but I have to click on the "Resquest with Roll" button of this window for the roll to be made (and the game pause if I am fast enough). I don't see this window in your video, so any idea why this happens? I already have midiQOL by the way.
I also think in terms of minions that perhaps depending on its lair and its minions I'd think it might love having some clay golems at its disposal.... (Namely because it's breath weapon can heal it....)
I like this module, but I have a big problem with Levels addon. Always shows the top floor of a building, thus covering the players (for example, an inn with 2 floors) Has anyone been able to solve this?
