There is a bat cave in San Antonio that does this
Thanks Mat. That's really interesting. I looked it up, and the one in San Antonio is called Braken Caves and has the largest bat population for a single cave in the world, with 15 Million bats, The bats at Braken are Mexican free-tailed bats. You have just given me another place on my bucket list. Do you have any footage you can share with us? The caves at Battambang has a dark history, as they also served as execution points during the senseless and tragic days of the Khmer Rouge. Thats one of the things I really admire about the Khmer people of Cambodia, their resilience to bounce back from generations of suppression, meaningless genocide, and social engineering. When I visited the killing fields, followed by the Tuol Sling Genocide museum in Phnom Penh, it is impossible to properly describe how numb and disturbed I felt afterwards. But it made me very aware of what men can do to man, and how we should always be on guard. Contrast that against the many awe inspiring temples, mainly around Seam Reap, Angkor Wat being the most famous. It really is an interesting country to visit, and while it has a way to go, is very rapidly improving.
Amazing to see your journey... Watching out for the next one!
Awesome, thank you!
