This a GT, one trim up from the SXT You hear both cars roaring ua-cam.com/video/GbSPgKhSZa8/v-deo.html. SXT is no match for the Maxima. Maxima 0-60 5.5secs. SXT/GT 0-60 6.5secs. RT 0-60 5.2 if it doesn't spin. I'm not sure if I raced an RT or GT yesterday but it was loud but I wasn't able to catch any badges. We started from a red light and I could see him in my back window. He gave up around 90mph.

@@josephalbury5015 I was told they probably tried the tiptronic which slows the car down but that seems like a trend around here. I’ve raced a older maxima version that was tuned and the dude was really fast. Like I was going 130 and still didn’t catch up. But these newer models, it’s been 2 times now that they’re the ones that honk and get left behind really bad. Both engines are fairly similar power wise with the challenger being much heavier but the engine being a bit stronger. My 0-60 time where I’m at is 5.8 in the current weather. Or maybe is just my sxt. People say cold air intakes don’t work but I definitely feel the car pulling way harder now than it did before.

@@jmkos86 2016-2021 Maxima all have the same Engine. Maxima 300 HP, the SXT 305HP. But the SXT is a lot heavier and that extra 5HP cant make up the difference. The older maxima's is only 290 HP. I haven't came across a video yet where I've seen a SXT/GT get 5.8secs, usually between 6.5 - 7.1secs and that's if the wheels don't spend. Your SXT is one of a kind if it's stocked. Newer maxima's stock are between 5.5 - 5.7secs. Definitely not in the 6secs range, so I'm unsure how they are beaten or left behind pretty bad. You have an RT and don't know it lol!! But I'm sure if your only getting 5.8secs 0-60 that's not fast enough to beat the Maxima. But to each their own.

@@jmkos86 That would be more of your speed from the video you linked me. The old maxima’s are slower then the new ones but the chargers are the same. The maxima in this video if stocked it’s only 290HP, if that challenger is really stocked then it’s pushing 305HP. Both of those cars are in the 6secs range. I mean you can give google a check and see the times for both cars given by the professionals whom have tested these cars multiple times. The stock Max n the SXT’s are not slow cars when you compare them to their classes based on other cars. But I promise you, the SXT is not faster then the Max. Logically it just doesn’t make sense, a heavier car with only 5HP extra. You can google search or watch the 0-60’s time here on UA-cam. 2016-2021 Maxima wins. 2016 is when they change the look and engine and it haven’t changed since. I gave you the new max vs the new charger for exact comparisons. In that video the challenger doesn’t even sound normal. But do me a favor, but you have to be honest. Go race a new maxima (not old) and whenever you do, you have to be honest and say who won or record it even better. There’s a owner near me that has either a SXT or RT that I beat in my new maxima. If I catch him again I’ll be sure to record it and share this with you. Because I’m confused, the new Maxima would literally be on an RT’s ass until we almost cap out in speed. Then it’s dust, but if the RT spins out it’s over. I have 20’s on my maxima with good tires and I don’t spin at all.
