Well, the fan Boys will always tell you it's user error. But as the fails add up, I'm sure we can call it quality control as well. I'm sure there are many user error fails, but if it's the spider or tinsels breaking, then it's quality. Coils are definitely mostly user error, but the soft parts are typically quality. Not bashing Orion, but it is what it is. All subs have their weaknesses, at least so far in my experience. Of course, I haven't tried them all.

It is stable at 2 ohms per channel, so that's four 8 ohm speakers per channel, or two 4 ohm speakers per channel.

@russellburgan9023 I understand sir because I have four 250 watt rms midrange speakers and four 150 watt rms midrange speakers making 8 total. They are all 4 ohm as well

The movement of the spider in conjunction with the surround determines the xmax of every speaker as they are both connected to the coil, the moving part driving the sound wave. To be honest, the Fi subs had their issue. I'm beginning to believe there is no perfect sub lol, but then I haven't had experience with them all. Currently, I am building with Savard HO series 15 inch subs. I have 4, and I'm still collecting the electrical. I'm gonna run 2 or 3 alternators. I haven't made up my mind yet. I need to test my box and determine the impedance rise so I can ascertain my power needs. Thanks for checking out the video, and stopping by for a comment.

I'm hoping they redesign the soft parts. These are great subs just need to work out a few kinks.

I'm not an SQ aficionado, but 10s, and 12s very accurately reproduce sub bass frequencies. I never had any issues with sound reproduction, tho with the larger coil, and heavier cone, they're not as efficient as some other subs. They are rated at 86.5 in efficiency so it takes a bit more power to produce spl. It's a trade, but they still accurately reproduce sub bass frequencies.

I'm not sure if they're even making them anymore. I couldn't find them in stock anywhere. They're nice woofers tho.

@russellburgan9023 It was clearly stated in the video that the box was too small. It can't be too small and be in spec at the same time. Literally impossible.

I see you missed the poly. However much smaller you think my box was than the factory spec, doesn't account for the excursion it would taken to damage the spiders, or tinsels. The box was neither too small, nor too large as I've heard both statements. The tinsels were too thin, and the spider too brittle. I only had the subs on a 5k amp, so they weren't getting anywhere near rated power, let alone the power it would've taken to burn up the leads. I appreciate your commentary, but as I've stated already, not every failure is user error. I don't care what brand it is, or what brand you promote. Do you enjoy the hobby, or the brand? Have a good one.

Yes I enjoy the hobby and the brand. I ran 2 of the 12's each on their own 2500 XTR Pro. I agree anything can happen. I never had a problem with mine but it is what it is. I destroyed mine in a totally different way. It was absolutely my fault. I reconfigured the box and drove over a steep train track before I anchored the box back down. The ass end of the truck dropped all at once and the subs hit the damn ceiling. Both coils sat on top of the pole, never to work again. Bent everything that could bend. It was so f*cked up, I couldn't even get mad.

My old Ford truck in the video died, and i have a chevy now. Going with triple alts on my next build, and I'm scraping the cash slowly lol. Got four 15 inch Savard HOs this time. Going for a wall build in this 03 Silverado. Going to start with an 8k, and test my impedance rise. Hoping to float some stuff lol.

Do you not see Yinlong in the title? Yinlong is a brand, not a type. If you know this, then you know that they are Chinese made Yinlong LTO cells imported by XS Power, and sold with a guarantee.

The factory rating is 2500rms, but most will say it is underrated. The coils on these subs are great. One of the tinsel leads broke on this one. I've owned 12s and 15s. Never had an issue with the coil, just the tinsel leads. Seems like I read somewhere that they were bought out by Alphasonik, newly named Sound Pros. They will either update the sub, or they will cheapen it.

Thanks for getting back to me I just bought a hcca d4 spl 15 hopefully they don't have the same spider issues if they do I'm going to rebuild it my way with quad spiders and 4 flat tinsel leads per wire stitched to the outside so I can keep an eye on it that should solve that problem

Can't go wrong there. It might change the t/s parameters a bit, but it will definitely be an upgrade. Idk if the new company will make a new version, but I hope they take a look at the spiders, and the leads. The coils are excellent. I know there are a lot of fan boys out there, and I ain't hating, but when you spend hard earned money, you want what you pay for. PSI can make an awesome recone just the way you want it, but it sounds like you might be able to do it yourself. Basshead 4 life!

My spl Orion just came in and gotta say this thing is a fukin monster the magnet is almost as big as the cone thank God I have power for days

That might work. Idk much about 3D printing but I'm guessing there's differences in the filament material? Use the good stuff lol. Or maybe make them a lil bit thicker/ taller.

I believe you. We cannot go into the institutions as they do not want the "dirty homeless" ppl in their pews. Idk, I feel like many of those places are intended to keep the blind from seeing and hearing. We have been sent out to those that seek to see and hear. The video was cut short because of the cold temperature sucking the life out of the battery. It was near zero on the river about 60 yards to our left. I'm not against immigration per say, but there are laws in place to regulate such activity. What I am against is the powers that be breaking the law for their own agendas. When I did that, I was incarcerated, and yet they go free. This proves what's really in their hearts. If it was because they truly cared about the "asylum seekers", then they would change the laws. Just my 2 cents, not that it's worth anything. I've made my mind up that I'm just passing thru this world. Let those who are of it contend for it. I served my country as a patriot, but I am a citizen of another Kingdom now. There's no changing what is coming upon this whole world. Biscuits and gravy might bring them out, but the Word of the Lord keeps them! There are a few that grab breakfast and head out. We're glad they got what they wanted, but those that stay get what they needed. Biscuits and gravy are good, but nothing beats the Living Bread.
