What fun this mini series was
This entire mini series was splendidly created, but tragic for everyone of the characters in it. Not one ended up alright. An all to often casualty of life. No happy endings for the lot here, not even one.
Even the maid who was very flirtacious even with father Ralph. She never got married and grew old
Justine sort of ended up all right. She ended up with Rainier and with a successful career as a stage actress. Even though she had to endure the loss of her brother to realise she did love Rainier.
Read the book, no happiness in it! One of my favorite books.
At least Justine ended up with her loving husband and the career she wanted
