Our last run for the 2023/24 season at Jafferau, Bardoneccia
I am not sure if the first trail is Panoramica or Gialla. But regardless, it is really fun and has stunning views of the surrounding alps. This run joins Gran Pista, the steep red that goes to the gondola. And unfortunately there was no top-to-bottom run because of the lack of snow.

A very nice long run that's sure to make your legs burn! The first section is curvy with two steep parts surrounded by trees. It opens up before the middle part that is definately steep enough to qualify as a black. The bottom section is a nice blue that ends at Melezet.

skiing the boardercross track at Les Carroz (Grand Massif)
same as the lady below, we have just book to go in February, thanks.
... le ski de fond ? 🤣🤣
Maybe g o a bit on the snow on the side it rlly fun
I’ve been on that slope and I’m 9
Doesn't look like a black at all.
I liked your video, is it manageable for someone with intermediate level?
It’s quite difficult, in my opinion the scariest run in flaine
I agree it's one of the "trickier" blue slopes in Flaine. It is in fact harder than "Mephisto Superior" which is a red slope but has no difficult sections at all . Perhaps they decided to put the upper Mephsto in red, to discourage total beginners from going that route and stick to Serpentine, which is a bit wider than the 2 Mephistos.
Little kids from mexico are skiing it. so it can't be that steep! ;)
What a beautiful run, looks ideal to get used to intermediate legs.
Try sticking to the prepared runs, that is what they are made for. You think you are being clever and go skiing among the trees, it'd server you right to fall flat on your face.
I generally wait till the French school holidays are over and they have all gone home, it's then much more quiet and peaceful.
what is the grand massif ticket price?
Are the ski slopes open? what's the weather like
this was recorded in february. The resort is closed for the season now, unfortunately.
hello, did you go skiing yesterday? I want to go for the weekend, should I go?
Do you need a helmet to enter the lift?
Ah, had family in Reusch, so skiid here a lot. It has changed! No tunnel, and the bottom section has been mellowed out a bit. Back when they had the big single cabin my friend and I would sometimes race the lift down on quiet days. My teacher used to traverse out to the left and take us to the cliff edge to have a look. Remember standing with my ski tips over the edge as a kid, being terrified 😂 Thanks for posting, good memories.
Yep, it used to have an avalance tunnel / gallery. It made it a unique run.
Just did it, the shade makes visibility not great, to see everything well, other than that it is easy.
indeed for a black rating it's not that hard
Think the black rating is based on how it used to be. Straight out of the lift there was a steep, one skier width schuss down to the plateau. On your right was a drop into the bowl and cliffs, and left was a steep drop into powder. Scared the hell out of me as a kid first time. Coming off the plateau was a narrow but steep and pretty gnarly mogul field as well. Guess they just don't update the run difficulty.
Tricky
Great video we go in a few weeks so getting an idea of the area :)
hello and thanks for your video, really black this track to make it all in the shade that I would like to do too and that's why I ask you what day it was and above all what time ? Thx
This was filmed last season. Also in the afternoon
If there are any beginners watching this, don't try this piste, even if you're very comfortable with greens. It's almost like a red
Can attest to this 100%. It’s tempting because it’s the route down from the beginners area but there are some very steep sections. Beginners who want to progress to blue should try the Manigod shorter runs in my opinion.
Tried this today (I'm a beginner). This should not be attempted if you're not at least intermediate, as there are 2 quick and narrow turns with 20-30% slope, definitely not very easy. And with huge crowds today as well, I saw plenty of collisions.
I could have done with these comments a few weeks ago!!
Sounds like La Plagne, no way some of their slopes are blues either.
nice vid!
Thanks. I was wondering if good place for a board. Looks like not
Possible to use better image stabilisation and higher resolution, also drone shots of the runs?
