Helps forget the floaters because of starvation, right? 😆
Midwest snow storm today my floaters are horrible 😢
Yes, complete relaxing run killjoy. I have learned to really focus on the fact that my eyes are always learning how best to ignore them, with extreme snow conditions being good “training” for them, that when the spring comes, the outdoor activities are that much better. Best wishes to you!
Hello Brett, I hope you are well, I have been following you since my floats have increased, which were few in the past, in this video you talk about peace, I agree with you, everyone should look for inner peace and everyone finds him somewhere, I found inner peace in prayer, worship and getting closer to God, I am a Muslim and I find my comfort only in prayer, I hope you find inner peace and I invite you my friend to search and learn more about Islam, because it is the true religion, i wish you all the peace 🫶🏻
Put caster oil on your eyelids/eyelashes at night, it will help get rid of the floaters.
I’ve heard this before. Can you tell me more?
I can't study because of eyefloaters😢
@@brettgitzel castor oil goes deep into the body and breaks up things that need to be broken up.
@ thanks for the advice but everything I’m reading advices against it. It’s not sterile and can lead to infections. I don’t want to add more problems for myself but I’m glad it’s helping you. Take care!
I'm 57. I've had them since age 12. Both eyes. Alot of them. I'd pay big money to have my floaters removed
@@Trevybaby I feel for you, man. Extra frustrating with snowfall. I do this that there are procedures that have worked for others. I’m not sure though. Good luck!
@brettgitzel For 44 years I've had nothing but "ignore them" from every eye doctor I've ever seen. I saw a retina specialist (surgeon) about a year ago. He absolutely shot down the vitrectomy idea. Immediately.
Eye inflammation could represent a autoimmune condition which also a cause for eye floaters
@@alnemo4289 thanks for the info. Very true. For me, I just mean inflammation in general. Sadly, the North American diet is a big part of the problem.
How are you doing with the floaters ?
@@AllamYassine I’m doing okay. No much has changed besides my eyes getting a bit more used to them. Snow will arrive soon and I am sure it will be more of a problem. I haven’t found any solutions beyond surgery, which is something I might consider later in life. I’ll put an update out soon. Best wishes to you!
@ Didn't fasting effect with you? Is there an option of laser yag treatment Didn't you think about it?
@ I did have some success with fasting. But I think I need a complete diet overhaul to make it last. Sugar needs to be eliminated. I hope I can commit to that at some point for an extended period of time and see the results. I mean 48-72 fast every 2 weeks, intermittent fasting, and no sugar. I have not considered any surgeries.
@@brettgitzel I can assure you about my experience with 72hrs fasting as well, it made my floaters more transparent, so it is certain that fasting is good positively for floaters.
Hey Brett! You should look into pineapple research for your floaters. I’d be curious to see if it helps. There’s some promising research going on with bromelaine (an enzyme in pineapple) that breaks down collagen (what eye floaters are made of). May not do anything, but just thought I’d throw it out there :). Best of luck to you!
@@EmileeNissen thanks. I have looked into it. I think it needs to be fresh. I can’t afford that sort of diet and sugar intake. And some people said if made floaters “looser” and noticed them more. I don’t really want to dive into anything like that unless it’s pretty certain to help. Thanks though, appreciate the advice.
How are your floaters my man?
@@GSGAMER2008 not getting worse and my eyes are getting used to ignoring some of them. So I’m thankful for that.
I only got floaters in my left eye 2 months ago. I started taking the Haro clear pill 2 weeks ago and I believe the 2 floaters in my eye have gotten smaller and less annoying. The company says it takes 3 to 6 months for results. I'm praying these pills can cure them. Some people say it's impossible for vitamins to reach the vitreous in the eye, but I really do believe I am experiencing a difference I wouldn't be if I didn't take the pills. For example. Walking outside in the day before I took the pills was very annoying and depressing, and the walk outside the past couple days has been much less so. I have very high hopes right now, but the company only claims up to 70% improvement, not a cure
Do check cameron from UK as he also got his eyes improved after going on carnivore diet
Have you tried carnivore diet as many of the people got the eye floaters completely removed after going on carnivore diet
Like after 1 year of strict carnivore completely healed their eyes... there are plently of the case studies out there to learn from... as peoppe on carnivore got their eyes recovered from eye floaters...

Vitreolysis could be an option. check it out via Google.
You can try going on the Haro Clear pill. They claim up top 70% reduction of your floaters in 6 months an 50% improvement to light sensitivity. Have you gone sugar free besides natural sugars you get in fruits and vegetables? I read a comment that a woman had good success just eating a lot of kale everyday Are you still following the 16 hour water fasting a day? Keep doing the 72 hour water fast once a month, and if you can handle it maybe even twice a month.. They say there is no '''cure'' besides risky eye surgery because the floaters will always remain in your eye, but in theory it should also still be possible to fade the floaters enough to the point you don't notice them.. The ''cure'' one day without surgery will probably be a pill that will make your brain completely ignore them
Hi brother,I have floaters in my both eyes. Consulted almost 6 eye doctors , they said keep move on and avoid thinking about it but actually I can't focus on my work I'm really stuck with this crazy thing . No idea what to do next.Brother pls help me to reduce this thing , suggest a better way to reduce this

Yeah I just heard about bromelain. I took it years ago. I will try it for my eyes now. There is natural cure for everything when we are ready to receive❤
You're entitled to experience your troubles and want them fixed. There are options but with tradeoffs.
@@bitcoinbuyscar7875 summer time and my floaters are way less of an issue without the glare of snow. I’m living with them now and making the best of it.
It is a mind f___. I guess dealing with this as you get older is easier since cataracts and PVD's come with age. Everything is a trade off, IF it bothers you that much think about the ultimate options. Get a vitrectomy and then deal with PVD and cataracts when they happen. I am huge believing in self healing and very optimistic, however I think there is zero chance to fix floaters via fast, eating, medicine, etc. Find the right doctor, they are few but they exist.
Thanks for making this video it’s very helpful 🙏🏼
Nice good job im looking to do one my self
U r beautiful ❤
I should go for vitrectomy man.
Have your tried carnivore diet? Looks like it helps. Search eye floaters and carnivore on UA-cam
How are the floaters man?
Hi, any idea what caused them? In my case I have no idea when exactly they suddenly increased. Last year i had hardly any, and now it's like I'm looking through a pot of soup sometimes. Checked with an optometrist thats it's not a retinal tear and he said its not, and there is no way to get rid of them except for an eye surgery that could result in loss of eyesight. Is there any cure?
Not really. Could be Covid, could be vaccine. I had them before but they’ve gotten worse since 2022. Summer time is a nice relief with everything a nice dark green instead of white snow. Fasting has helped fade them a bit. At least it seems to have helped. As long as my eye doctor says things are ok, I’m trying not to let it get me down too low. Good luck to you!
Keep ur head up bro
Hii sir your floters gone
Hello. Several of my latest videos address my floaters, thanks.
Thank you for your video. I'm dealing with floaters in both eyes - pretty heavily. They seem to be getting worse. Doctors are no help. At this point, I would be skeptical of any Dr even willing to do the vitrectomy immediately, so many doctors don't want anything to do with it. The consensus is that the surgery will likely cause a posterior vitreous detachment and early onset of cataracts. That is why most of the vitrectomies occur in older people who have had a natural detachment and who already have cataracts or have had replacement lenses. I love to jog and have to do it mostly at dusk or night-time as being outside in sunlight is so annoying. The overhead lights at the grocery store are like big orbs in my visual field. I find using a dark screen option on the computer helps... and as crazy as it sounds... wearing dirty reading glasses helps my mind not obsess on the problem. But if it's mid-day and the sun is bright and a neighbor happens to strike up a 5 minute conversation - my mind is constantly on the floaters... it's a burden for sure. They say they are not harmful - but they destroy moment to moment quality of life. It is helpful to know other people are in a similar situation and that I'm no alone. So thank you again for taking the time to post. On a side note: I have heard people who have used extreme fasting or carnivore style diets state in passing that their vision became extremely clear as well. Jordan Peterson mentioned in a talk or a podcast that his visual field cleared up considerable while on a meat-only diet to deal with inflammation and depression. So there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to confirm your personal findings.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Totally sucks, man. I agree about the glasses. I prefer my scratched up older ones these days. Fasting does clear things up a bit. It’s all about inflammation, so the eyes get better when that goes down, giving the appearance of floater fading. I feel like a carnivore diet would give me other problems. Also, I don’t really like meat that much. But that’s interesting, for sure.
Try prolonged juice fasts . Massive amounts of vegetables, pineapple, carrots and lemons... You can go for weeks and I think this reduced them. Also check Austin Goh eye floaters exercises and do them twice every day for as long as it takes. I truly believe, over time, I will get rid of them . Living like this to me is unacceptable anymore.
I got the vitrectomy surgery 4 days ago. My floaters were horrible they look like spider web blocking my vision field. I was like you using sunglasses everywhere. The Vitrectomy improves your condition from 70% - 80% which is good. I’m 28, I still have like 2 or 3 tiny floaters after the surgery. If you need a doctor that can support you in this process let me know. My surgen was super transparent and helped me make the decision. I know what you’re going through. It’s really difficult. I think this condition is one of the most invasive and annoying conditions out there.
Avoid getting laser. It won’t help. It’s actually more dangerous because they can hit the retina and cause permanent damage. The only solution is replacing the Vitreous. The surgery takes 30 minutes. It is much safer now to get the surgery than before. Just make sure the doctor who’s performing the surgery use 27 gauge needle. It’s ultra slim and less invasive.
Thanks for sharing. The price tag for that surgery seems to be big. Not sure I can look into that at the moment. Glad it’s helped you!
I'm going to try carnivore floaters ruined my life don't want to go out during the day
Hope the fast goes well, thanks for keeping us posted!
This is encouraging, seeing somebody heal their body with the bodies mechanism itself ❤❤❤ thank you. I’m not alone.
Awesome! ❤ ya!
the bigger the pupil the less the floater but it can fire back with sun glasses
I got them a few months back. It caused eye strain and headaches.
This post showed up in my youtube feed this morning, thought I'd offer my own experience, for whatever it's worth. I'm 63; I first started noticing floaters in my early twenties, was told my best course of action would be to live with them, which I have. In my case, my right eye is stronger, dominant, has always done most of the work, whether drawing or driving; my left is less strong, has generally been along for the ride, contributing peripherals, etc. Coincidence or no, the eye I rely on most always had many more floaters, which suggests that in my case at least, usage may be a component. Your comments on fasting and inflammation are insightful. An eye doc I saw early on suggested depressants may play a part in floaters formation, worsening, etc. No clue if this is the case, don't doubt it, but as you said, a cleaner diet will likely help as well. Minimizing refined sugars intake helps with so many issues. Over the last few years I've learned to use my left eye when doing close work. I'd suggest you look into supplements like eyebright, blueberry, etc if you've not yet. Sorry for the ramble; hope something of this may be useful. All best.
Thanks for sharing. For me, my non dominant eye has all the floaters. I want to look into the supplements a bit more. I take omega 3 and a vitamin but that’s it right now. Which ones do you find helpful?
Omega 3 is good. I take 3-6K daily. Taurine, minimum of 1 gram daily. Quercetin, min 1000mg. If you check those out, do your own research and learn what intake levels are tolerable and benefit. Puritan's Pride makes an Eyebright with Blueberry I've taken recently. I liked that one. I'm trying another combo, Eyebright with pumpkin seed. All those are good things, but wish I could offer something specific that's been more lifechanging. Mostly what I notice is the cleaner my intake- I minimize refined sugar, replaced with honey, apple cider, etc; no western over the counter painmeds, acetaminophens, etc, and minimal alcohol use, etc- the better my vision. Better sleep helps as well. When I was in my early twenties, I worried I'd go blind in a few years if floaters progressed as they'd begun. Forty years later, thousands of hours of close work, the floaters are still there, still a challenge, but they're not a lot worse, either. Hope at last that's of some encouragement. All best.
Honestly, if they're in your dondominant eye, that's a huge blessing. Wish that were the case with mine! >
Hey Brett. I started getting floaters a little over a year ago. You need to see an Opthamalogist to make sure you don’t have the beginnings of a retinal detachment. I got laser procedures and the floaters are gone. You don’t need to live with those. 👍
Have you got Yag laser ?
I have them starting up in past few months with ear infection. I have heard of autophagy working for some people and also rubbing castor oil on and around the eyes. I am going to try this. Especially since I think I now have an eye infection too. Weird.
Caster oil? I have never heard of that method. Good luck to you!
Did you get results
@@guunnuu hey, I’m not sure. First of all, I had to cut my fast short, to 49 hours. But after the fast, and with all of the snow melted away, my eyes feel pretty good and I’m not noticing the floaters as much. Another note is my side to side eye movement reveals my floaters, but up and down not so much, which is a nice thing while driving. I plan another 48 hour fast in the next month. 72 is just too much for me right now. Good luck!
What yr condition with fasting
Try eating pineapple. It seemed to work for me. Eye floaters are clumps of collagen fibers in the vitreous gel of the eye that can cause visual disturbances¹. They appear as translucent shapes drifting in front of our eyes, often described as worm-like threads, spots, or bits of cobweb⁴. There have been claims that eating pineapple can help reduce eye floaters. This is based on the enzyme "bromelain" found in pineapple⁵⁶⁷⁸. A study from Taiwan found a 70% decrease in floaters among participants who consumed pineapple daily for three months⁵⁶⁷⁸. However, the results are still inconclusive and more research is needed to confirm these findings²³⁴. It's important to note that sudden appearance of floaters, especially if accompanied by flashing lights, could be a sign of retinal detachment and requires urgent medical attention⁴. If floaters are impairing your vision, it's recommended to consult with an eye care professional for appropriate treatment options¹³.
