A simple game created in c using SFML gamejolt.com/games/deathjump/659293 Also if you are interested in source code you can find it here: github.com/xSnapi/deathjump (kinda messy) #indiedev #sfml #cpp #coding #programming
can u please tell me where did u learn sfml cuz i have a project i need to do in sfml and i gotta learn it and ngl your games seem so cool and nice and i would like to make something as nice as this
Can you make an installation guide for sfml 3.0 🥺
0:50 i loved the block design how you make that ❤️🔥
isn't most of that done automatically if you use a game engine ?
you should use a game engine if you want to make games. making everything by yourself, on the other hand, is a great learning experience
@@snapi Have you made any games using Unreal ? Any tips ?
not really, I tried it a few times, but it wasn’t something I enjoyed. My tip would be to start with godot or unity they seem more beginner-friendly. Over time, you’ll realize that these engines are different from each other, but they are actually structured in a similar way (this applies to unreal too) It can be a good starting point
What's up?
how do you have these ideas? i mean, i dont't think i`m that creative.
5:40 hey I know that game so You created the sandbox game? the one thats on playstore now Or do you two just used the same textures.
dobry progress, gratulacje
dodge the bullet has the same background+player as my godot game!
love it
skok? Nice muzika too! :3
Mediocre
Can you tell me what game engine you used for these games ❤
my own
🇵🇱
1:45 where can i find the source for this sandbox? I cant find it on your github. It would be a huge help to get to read it.
hi there the code you’re looking for was a big pile of trash, and honestly, I don’t think it would be very helpful for you but I can definitely post it if you’d like. Unfortunately, I’m abroad right now and don’t have access to any of my projects, but I can post it next week when I get back (If I forget, please feel free to remind me)
please come back!!!!!!!
Padberg Mountain
I was not able to install sfml in my machine tried hard couple of times and i quit😂😂
if it is not too much to ask, can u also make a video how to setup SFML in codeblocks, when you have a 64 bit laptop? i am constantly getting Dynamic library link error and dont know what to do
why would you use codeblocks when visual studio is free?
@@snapi because codeblocks supports cpp much better than vscode
@@SoochitJet I have no idea what you’re talking about from my point of view, cpp is cpp, and codeblocks was awful to use, but I was starting from it
@@SoochitJet oh you meant vs code I see, why don’t you use normal visual studio tho?
@@snapi huh? I am using the blue vscode, not the purple one. Am I missing something? When I tried running a simple cpp code, I got "include errors", "g++ not found", man, it was very depressing that day... Codeblocks is also hard, but i like it very much because of the "console app" template. That template was very straightforward
Wow this is amazing and inspiring
currently implementing this and it makes me want to unalive
remember there is no need to hate yourself when you can hate programming even more
Good Job!
great !!!!!!
that's kinda epic
where did you learn to make these games?
Super interesting! Very inspiring videos, and you've grown so much in this little timeframe. What are you up to right now? Which resources do you use? I typically use youtube videos and some hidden gem websites, but it's really hard to find info on some of the graphical stuff. Those things are arcane to me sometimes.
amazing. I too am beginning my journey to be a game dev. what type of mathematics did you learn. what roadmap do you recommend to begin learning? I so far am able to draw the shapes and move them around.
Where did you learn a these things??your Learning source i mean??
1:50 dude made niota😮
Aside from the fact that it’s just a few squares pretending to be sand and that the program barely hit 200fps, it’s basically Noita :pp
Was the shape at 1:51 Poland?
Not at all. It's a completely random shape, absolutely in no way related to Poland. ;p (or is it?)
why some of the projects are looking simple and some of them you did before them looking way polished? Ignore me if I'm mistaken or anything like that.
Great video tho!
can u tell me what is the name of your desktop background image, and what sources you learned SFML
i have started sfml from andrew code games..its challenging and feels like to quit but the hope to get better holds me. and the power it provides to build whatever i want is holding me.
Wow, it looks like you've put a lot of effort into learning all that! That's really amazing!
Good game. I also recently made a game and uploaded a video.
🎉😮
Can you just tell me how can i create a gui in c and c++.I am just new at programming i have completed c and c++ just i want to make some gui.please help me by providing infromation gor gui😢
hi, please tell me how you uploaded the game to the site because I can’t upload my game because I can’t run it without a compiler
that was one cool worm
thank you :pp
what happened to you
hm what do you mean?
@@snapiwhy you stopped posting
i’m just taking a nap, or something more like coma
Loved the music!
How many hours were you working daily because i want to draw a plan for myself
Out of curiosity did you make this vidro because you were losing motivation, or just to show it off Its awesome by the way
Before I even started making games or other projects, I watched many videos like mine that highly motivated me to create things. So, I decided to post my own, not to show off, but to inspire someone out there who is watching and just needs a little push to start doing it themselves. Honestly, I think programming is fun, and people should give it a try :p
@@snapi tight, best of luck to you brother I hope you can turn it into a career
post
1:56 Did you used OpenGL along with SFML here. I tried doing this using vertex arrays, but they don't respect depth. How did you incorporated the depth buffer.
Well, from what I remember, I did 3D work with plain OpenGL without SFML. However, I think you can still do it with SFML. You just need to set the depth bits in sf::ContextSettings and pass it to the window when you create it. Although, you will probably need to write your own shader for that as well.
YOU ARE A MONSTER
your narrative skills are on point, loved the storytelling!
Glad you enjoyed :p
Please share a study guide for going from zero to hero
What I just saw was a true masterpiece ...
