    I’m getting an “all in 6” upper in 10 day and I dread it. I always have pain after extractions and this time it going to be 9 at once. I hate life. But I am glad this exists. I have to be strong and do this. The pain will end and I’ll have solid teeth and no removable denture that covers the roof of my mouth and using adhesive pastes (yuk). I was going to buy a new car but teeth and an old car works for me. Good luck to everyone facing this.

      Good luck, and I wish you all the best! I had five implants & 3 extractions done just two days ago, and it's been tough, but I believe it'll be worth it in the end. If you can afford it, don't stress-go for it!

    They are the 29 to 32nd teeth and for many people especially with large or jumbled ones pressing against other teeth or with poor dental care a risk, and with some people hard for the dentist to clean. Some people are better not having them but others it doesn’t matter so much

    • @gordonchow4611
      @gordonchow4611 3 місяці тому

      @@avisena6445 honestly for me it wasn't terrible. The first 2-3 days were easy and I thought that I could comfortably live on soft foods but on days 4-6 it became a living hell and I was barely eating, no appetite and naseous all the time. That being said after a week and by day 10 I was feeling really good. I played golf, went out more again and the days started to go by faster. Appetite wise I could eat eggs, avocado/guac, chili, and by day 15 I had my first lasagna which was hard to chew at first but by day 21 anything pasta-like or softer was v manageable. For me having the elastics in were annoying and made my teeth hurt but it gets better but I had to use 2x extra strength elastics on both sides. Mobility wise it wasn't bad, I wasnt wired shut or anything and I could open my mouth slightly/chew to eat for the most part and this got better fast as time went on. my last takeaway is that you wont really notice how fast time and your recovery after 2 weeks post op. it gets much easier and tbh you can challenge your mouth to chew more and more. its only the middle part of the first 10 days where you get really sick of liquids, the medication (antibiotics, painkillers, etc) and extra teeth cleaning routine becomes really draining. Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes :)

No infection. The dentist said the nerve gets pressured and there can be numbness for weeks, even months. It is not uncommon. What can be done to get the feeling back sooner? Massage not really working. Massage the nerve area or massage the numb area? B Vitamins were recomended to heal the nerve.

I ended up going home, because they didn't have a surgeon available, and I could not see myself staying in that hospital. They left me sitting most of the day, and I don't want people like that working on me. I was thinking I'd reach out to UCLA or County USC. Would have been nice to know much sooner! With dental work now I have such bad dentalphobia due to extraction of all wisdom teeth. Only one came out whole. They didn't spend the time to fully remove the shards. I will be fully going under hopefully soon, as suboxone destroyed my teeth (presided for pain at 12mg daily, no I didn't help). I went in to get my teeth fixed much sooner, even telling them my needs, after they say sorry, you will have to find a provider licensed (for NO2, since I was coprescribed benzos as well as opiates). You sound like you care about your patients, where as the last time I felt that was was with an amazing pediatric office.

    Just had my double jaw surgery almost a week ago and the pain is minimal from the surgery itself however, I did get wisdom teeth removed while they were in there and it is THAT, that hurts like crazy at random times with pulses. I agree that yeah it’s super annoying to not eat properly but for me it’s been breathing and the hooks from the braces. My nose is like ultra sensitive and anything above a warm temp air, BURNS my nose. I’m ordering a steamer to help minimize that. The hooks just rub the cheeks a bit. The days do get better and better honestly but it’s just the small discomforts that make it. Time for some One Piece and soup.

      Right you are. Aside from some sinus pressure the part about being hungry is so true. I’m not able to consume enough calories and protein.
