The Duck Factory is an American sitcom produced by MTM Enterprises that aired on NBC from April 12 until July 11, 1984. It was Jim Carrey's first lead role in a Hollywood production. The show was set at a small independent animation studio, and was co-created by Allan Burns and Herbert Klynn. Burns had started his career as a writer/animator for The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show and George of the Jungle, before turning to live action and co-creating The Mary Tyler Moore Show; Klynn had worked in various production capacities on Mr. Magoo and Gerald McBoing-Boing, amongst many other cartoons.

Casey Kasem was a legend!
Frank Bonner using the same Arkansas Razorbacks coffee mug that was on his desk on "WKRP"
Why is there no sound/audio? Even when I try to turn up the volume no audio/sound is playing.
His ability to make characters sound so different from his voice and their voices is truly impeccable. You are a legend Don.
Don Messick was an absolute legend voicing a lot of Hanna-Barbera characters. He had an amazing voice that he disguised in a lot of different voices similar to Mel Blanc. Rest in peace Don Messick and thank you for always making us laugh and bringing so much entertainment into our lives. 1926-1997😢
Next to Daws Butler and Mel Blanc, one of the top three voice actors.
Network executives, the enemies of all reason.
Here’s one of the freakiest facts in the world: When Messick died on October 24, 1997, it was 12 days after John Denver’s untimely death, both of which occurred in the Monterey Bay Area.
Don was a sharp, bad @$$ dude, fam; he was a ventriloquist and everything!
i sure am gonna miss him
Chicago IL is where Paul Frees was originally from, also where Daws Butler grew up. To me, they were animation's go-to guys in the 1960's. BTW, I just read up in the late 1970's, Paul Frees and Daws Butler even worked, together at Ruby-Spears- of course, Daws was still working with Hanna-Barbera while Paul worked with Rankin-Bass!!!
It's nice to know the actors behind the voices. It's surprising to know that many of these actors know each other. Also, the fact that many of them were around for both black and white *and* colored cartoons.
Like ,Wow! (1932 - 2014)
This Is Quite Old 0:05 Yogi Bear 0:15 Popeye 0:27 Donald Duck Love It,
0:15 Popeye,
This Is Quite Old,
Jim carrey with a laugh track in the backround seems odd
I love him as Gargamel.
I think you should re-title these videos to note the order they SHOULD be watched in, rather than the airing order that confused audiences and may have contributed to the show's cancellation.
I wonder if Hanna-Barbera saw this episode and said we made a great choice hiring Don
He sounds like somone maybe jack cassedy
2 men from the west and 1 from the east, beautiful
Paul Winchell became the first person to build and patent a mechanical artificial heart, implantable in the chest cavity (US Patent #3097366 of 1963).
This dude was such an iconic legend he had a huge impact on my childhood and his legacy and voice will never not be forgotten Also I found this out about him very recently and that was when the original version of Tiny Toons came out Hamton was his last new character that he had done the voice for so when I found out about this interesting fact it made me appreciate him and all of the characters that he did voices for throughout his career Rip Don Messick you may be gone but you are never forgotten and you will always live on in our hearts and mind's
R.I.P Casey Kasem, the voice of Shaggy Rogers from Scooby-Doo (1932 - 2014) 😢😭 Like, wow! 15 years. 😥
I wonder who’s interviewing him.

Talent and a gift to the world... never to be duplicated.
And my parents threatened to send me to a mental institution because I pretend too much....how much does Frank Welker, Casey kasem make...and i am dead broke haha
Don would be so proud of Frank playing Scooby...he is a worthy sucessor.
I really enjoyed this video!
Skip Craig, Jay Ward's editor and track reader, recalled going to Daws Butler's heavily attended funeral and seeing Stan Freberg as one of his pallbearers.
More scooby dumb and less other voices please. 3-20-24
I come here becouse I am playing Poppy Platime ch 2 and Iam stuck in game of statue 🙂I wonder what Mr. Meissic would say if he were still alive for the imitation of his voice for Scooby they used for the PJ Pug-a-pillar character
I dont care what anyone says who was the greatest voice actor...Paul Frees, Mel Blanc...to me it was Daws Butler! You were my hero!
He did the voice of the dog Muttley!
Don is honorary family in my book.
I would've killed to have seen Mel Blanc, Daws Butler, Jack Mercer, Clarence Nash, Walt Disney and Don Messick all perform their respective character voices together live to a whole audience..... could you imagine if that had happened! 😍
Don Messick, you're a legend!
Huh, do more Scooby and less everyone else please. 2-3-24
No sound...
The dream grandpa of every kid..
Quake narrating the voice of Quisp and Cap’n Crunch
Indeed.
What year is it from?
1987
1988; Daws Butler passed away in May of that year and there are several moments in this interview where Don speaks about attending the funeral. Don also speaks about having been with Hanna-Barbera for 31 years, which was correct, considering that Hanna-Barbera's first made for TV cartoon series arrived in 1957, "Ruff and Reddy". Don makes mention of "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" which made it's debut in September 1988.
What voice is he doing at 5:10
Don Messick usually, but not always, used that voice for whenever he voiced teenage boy characters in cartoons. One of those that some may be familiar with is Arnold the newspaper boy on "The Flintstones".
