What value do you set the PUL/min too? Also feels very very tight while reaching max inflation.

Such a bad video. This monitor is so unclear on what actually is the date, time hour and minutes? I've worked out how to change the numbers just have no idea what its actually changing. Is it a 24 hr clock or a 12 hour clock? How does the date appear? It would be helpful to show a detailed video on this because the manual is useless and so is this video.

This is a very helpful video. Thanks for posting it. There is one thing that needs to be corrected though and that is the ketone section. While much more accurate than I would normally expect for those who are not up to date with the latest research, it is a little misleading. When they are talking about Ketoacidosis, the meter on screen displays a reading of 3.0 which is a great number and not dangerous at all. The body doesn't go anywhere near dangerous levels until it gets over 11.0-12.0. A reading of 3.0 simply shows that it is someone who is metabolically healthy and has become fat-adapted and who is burning fat rather than storing it. It was great to see that they did point out that while insulin does control blood sugar, it has over forty different jobs in the body and the main one is to convert blood sugar into fat storage. They don't tell you that when you are just diagnosed and are pumping tons of insulin into you, tell you to keep eating sweet things to counteract it and then say "You should lose weight, what's wrong with you? You obviously aren't working out hard enough!". One of the other jobs of insulin is that while it is in the process of storing excess energy as fat, it blocks the body from burning it. Many medical professionals who have not been properly educated in this area (and most are not) are putting their patients at risk through panicking at the mere sight of ketones and causing people all sorts of problems due to not being able to control their weight. Knowing this stuff has saved my life. I got most of my information from the well informed doctors and researchers on the "Low Carb Down Under" UA-cam channel. Cheers.

After starting the keto diet, it takes your body a few days to burn through its carbs, which are stored as glycogen in your liver and muscles. Once these carb stores are gone, you’ll switch to producing ketones from either dietary fat or stored body fat to burn as energy (2Trusted Source). At that point, you may have detectable levels of ketones in your blood. Blood ketone levels while on the keto diet typically range from 0.5 - 3.0 millimoles per liter (mmol/L) (1Trusted Source). These levels are the optimal range for nutritional ketosis - the state in which your body can use stored fat for energy most effectively, helping boost weight and fat loss (1Trusted Source). Note that there’s a condition called diabetic ketoacidosis. It only occurs in people with diabetes and is characterized by extremely high levels of blood ketones alongside extremely high blood sugar levels (1Trusted Source). However, the blood ketone levels seen in ketoacidosis are typically 10-15 times higher than those of nutritional ketosis. Also, ketoacidosis is often accompanied by severe symptoms, whereas nutritional ketosis is safe for most people (1Trusted Source).

I hope you have worked it out by now Sam! For those with the same trouble, you have to download the Lifesmart Sugar CheQ app (drop of blood and sugar cubes on icon). In the app go to the Settings screen. One of the list options is Bluetooth Smart Meter. Select that and your device will prompt to allow notifications and access to Bluetooth. Agree to the latter. On the right side of the monitor is a switch to activate Bluetooth. When you push the switch up, a blue light will flash at the top of the screen and any data on the monitor will transfer to the app. Hope this helps. The model without Bluetooth looks identical at first glance but the model number has an extra letter.

Is there ISO 15197 2013 and FDA approval in the devices. Can give the measurement result in mg / dL. Does the Biochemistry Laboratory have a whole blood comparison study?
