So you 'lifted the tank', (which means you had to disconnect the fuel line), but then blame RE for the badly connected fuel line! You either didn't disconnect the fuel line when you lifted the tank, straining the spigot to the point of failure or you didn't connect it back up properly and snapped the spigot off. Nothing to do with RE and lots to do with ham-fisted mechanics. Read the workshop manual mate and do the job properly.

It seems RE even manages to have traditional 1960s style quality problems, but with modern plastics.

Don't tell the RE fanboys they won't believe you.

You kinda get what you pay for, and the quality has always been a bit dodgy on Enfields

You got a duff one, mine is perfect, 2 years on my Meteor has had zero faults.

RE is a horrible company! Even Indians are going for better options! I cringe when people in uk n Australia buy these vibrating metal scrap

36/42 is where you're going wrong I always run 32/36 on any tyre. Lovely grip from the softer front, and nice soft rear for acceleration. Wear doesn't seem to affected too much from running these pressures.

I’ve just bought one for when I’ve passed my test

It was a proper busy night , you were stood right next to my mates k1300 while you were talking, my little Royal Enfield shotgun was down a little further, To be honest meets like that are not really my thing but it was good to look at some other bikes for a change, I dont like riding in groups, there is nothing like going out with just one mate who rides like you do and have a blast, I normally go out on the fireblade with him and the enfield when I just want to enjoy the ride. Where abouts are you from, I lived in bury for a long time but also Brandon, Lakenheath and wereham but at the moment I am inbertween Chatteris and March.

Your ZX-10.....I've got a Mk1 2004 model, years ago I had the same problem. It was the butterfly valve in the exhaust (just where the main pipe meets the can) that had broken away from the servo mounting and was just rattling around being blown by the exhaust gas. Took me hours to get a grip on it and bend it in half so I could pull it out.....bike runs fine with no exhaust valve, it's just in full power mode all the time.

Adventure style bikes are popular because riding on our roads is like off-roading. The potholes are beyond ridiculous.

In all honesty, I never wanted to ride bikes, but as a little run around the city, I could honestly love to purchase a Royal Enfield Classic 350, in Marsh Grey, Gunmetal Grey or Halcyon Green. They look awesome, and fuel economic.

Nice looking bike, great for road use. Shame about the footpeg, lets hope it's a one off.

This bike should be compared to a BSA B40, Norton model 50, Velocette MAC or original bullet 350. No point comparing it to a modern bike.

The best reviews should be on an item that has lasted more than ten years, which reminds me, that my GoPro 3 is still working, and twelve years later is still making videos. Is that a good product? Compared to todays action cameras probably not, but then again are the new cameras going to last more than ten years? Take care Jim, ride safe.

Police aren't interested in actual crime anymore. They just protect corporations and the government. I chased a phone thief the other month and the victim was injured in the crime, police didn't bother to turn up. Luckily the ambulance service still works for now.

There's another law that I don't have a name for other than to call the phenomenon "negative karma". You know, when you do a good turn and almost straight away rat s*** happens to yourself. An example might be that you let someone out at a junction, and at the very next set of lights, he'll get through and you'll get stopped 😢

G’day Jim, your issue with catching red lights etc. when needing to get a wriggle on is, over here in the land of Oz, caused by an annoying little bloke by the name of a Mr. Murphy. He follows us around just to organise such annoyances… also known as Murphy’s law. Obviously Mr. Murphy also travels to your neck of the woods occasionally. Although this time he may have assisted you inadvertently, as spending more time on your bike has increased your calorie count🤪🤣🤣Hooroo mate 🏍👍😎
