Does the simulation have anything to do with the task 1 and 2?
Probably a good time to do an update video to this one. They no longer required a video in the 2nd task, it's another written assignment.
I think I'll pin this instead. Appreciate the update Keith.
Great videos. Currently working on getting my CSA and this channel is a great support/learning guide
I'm happy to know it’s helping my friend. Good luck on the CSA exam.
Were you able to find employment after you finished the program with WGU?
Hello. Yes I was, but I want to be honest in saying that it waroln internal promotion, and essentially the same work I was doing but this time for the pay I deserved.
Congratulations 😅
Thank you!
life is a struggle for an AA
Xavier, you're the man!!! Thank you for taking the time to make this video, it's greatly appreciated. I'm already in the IT field and was looking for some sought of direction and at the same time trying to connect all the dots between WGU and Sophia.
I'm happy to help my friend. Keep me updated on your progress!
@@tehczavier Will do. Thanks again!
Congrats
Thank you
I hear and see all over the place a Bachelor’s being a “minimum requirement” so much competition in these streets.
For real! Unfortunately you have to play the game to get a job in this market.
Hey! Can you please share the doc of this questions and tips to prepare?
I can't locate the document, but here is a Quizlet deck that is really good for preparing for the exam: quizlet.com/928136085/certified-system-administrator-csa-flash-cards/?x=1jqU&i=4ilm9f
I just got my foot in the door, about a year and a half into tech. My has been on front end/developing WordPress sites. Do you think it would be difficult to become a ServiceNow application developer?
No, not at all. Your WordPress experience is a great start. If you go through the ServiceNow Developer career journey, it will present you the different skills you need for backend skills as well.
Long comment here but, again, appreciate your content, and I look forward to following suit. I watched your other videos as well as Josh Madakor and others to get my strategy together. Not being able to "speed run" the same way isn't a big deal to me, it's more about not setting myself up for failure, but still faster than a traditional school. I wish I had found all this years ago. I know this stuff is available on WGUs website but, it's different having a person you can relate to explain how they went about it. Having not been in school for a while, and wanting to save money in the process, I think the Study/Sophia route is the best for me and what was good about your video(s) was the explanation of the differences. I think a lot of people are in my same boat. Some of the things I've dealt with at a company that knows they have a good person in a leadership position that doesn't have the piece of paper includes - lower tier profit sharing/bonuses, more pressure or backlash than peers when things don't go 100% to plans they never made in the first place, and overloading with responsibilities or projects that may have come from someone who left the company or new initiatives nobody else wants to own. Feels like "We'll give you a chance, but we own you." There's a bunch of "quiet" ways employers can and will take advantage of people they know can't easily job hop at the same level, so they give you just enough to put the golden handcuffs on. Plus since you mentioned Ai - the ATS HR systems will not even let your resume be seen if you don't check that degree box, and all the certifications in the world can't change that. Future Night Owl over and out.
Sir you are an inspiration and your homework/spreadsheet is GREATLY appreciated. I'm older and never got a degree, so I'm not "as valuable" on paper despite holding high level jobs and clearly able to do the actual work - it's time to fix that. I have to finish a certificate I'm currently working through, but I'll be implementing your strategy in the coming months. I don't know if I can go as fast as you, but if I finish within a year, I'll be more than happy. Many many thanks.
ua-cam.com/video/J7zewvAsmYs/v-deo.html No, thank you. I had to make a video response.
You're right. Using all the resources that we have today is NOT EASY. I've watched your videos, which just helped me complete my BSBA at WGU. For me, that was not an easy task. I know that I am privileged, as I am still learning.
Man, that is amazing! Congrats

Yes sir!
I know what video you’re referencing
HD! Yeah man when I saw that, it hit me hard.
Great video Xavier 👍
Thank you!
🙌
Appreciate you for the continued support.
If you could go back to wgu would you have picked a different degree? Possibly wgu it general with certs? I’m torn between b.s. in ITM or IT. I just want a good job
I would do it the same way. The reason is, is because IT Management is about how well you can see the big picture and maximize your skills, to get the best out of others and deliver services. Having that knowledge helps me give more value to the people (tech workers and customers).
Good to see you bro, #keepGrowing
Thank you. I know it’s been a minute. Hope you're doing well.
@@tehczavierpretty good on my end. Real life , learning & Work can easily keep you busy .
Is there a proctored exam after every competency assignment?
No, not everyone. There are some objective assessments that are written or presentation assignments. Hope that answered your question.
Can you tell me more about Study Now?
Hello and thanks for your question. Just to clarify, are you asking about ServiceNow?
@@tehczavier yes I dm you on Instagram about Service Now sorry I accidentally put study now
@@tehczavier I wanted to ask you a few questions regarding Service Now? 1. Is Service Now the best way to get into tech if you’re new to the field? 2. Is the price the Associates System Admin class correct for 2024? Or is there away around the $500 dollars? 3. Can you explain the credits, how do you make credits? And if so can I apply these credits towards the $500 dollar fee? I’m coming into Service Now as a new member not because of a company but as an individual. Can you explain some of your journey and your good and bad experiences with Service Now? Thank you Xavier for your time. 😊
What do you think of the micro-certifications? Any opinions on different types, in terms of the testing style?
Micro certs are good complements to the maineline certifications (e.g.: CSA, CIS, CAD). The exams are free and not proctored--as far as I know.
This was great! Thank you so much Zavier!
My pleasure.
can you please make video on SNHU?
I'm not sure what SNHU is. Can you explain?

18. I’m glad that I found your page. I’ll need to speak with you more on this
It was not easy, and was sheer will my friend.
Sadly, the links under Free Video and Practice Test Resources: doesn't work anymore.
Aww man, I didn't realize that. As an alternative. I'll see if I can find other resources.
Please also talk about course with assignment and without because those writing assignment aren't no joke!!!! LOL. I just wish I knew what I know now!!
Ok
Question??? How long does it take to get the writting assignment back?
The longest wait time for me was five business days.
how hard is it to manage a full time job with wgu BS IT program?
Not hard at all, IF you plan ahead and are realistic with your course completion goals. If you are experienced and comfortable with taking online courses that help, and if you aren't, then I recommend "practicing" by taking courses via Study.com and Sophia.org. Check out this video if you want to ease into WGU with low risk: ua-cam.com/video/739y6PIdwyk/v-deo.htmlsi=lnIM8bPi9roJhS9u
How long was the process overall before you enrolled? What did your day to day look like with work, family, school, etc? How long did it take you once you enrolled at WGU?
Hello, and thank you for your questions. See my responses below. <Length of overall process> Note: I already had an AA degree l that I got in high school more than 10 years ago. 1. I decided on my major in August. 2. Met with my counselor in August, and she directed me to Sophia.org, I learned about Study.com elsewhere. 3. I completed my courses at Sophia and Study.com in a little over a month. <Day-to-Day> My day-to-day was consumed with work and study. I would work 8 hours and study for six. I barely had a personal life. However, I told my family ahead of time that I would be like a hermit. <Duration at WGU> I completed my degree in 3 months.
Thank you for your advice I just passed 83%
Awesome!!!
How can I get the copy of the practice exam?
This is what I used: skillcertpro.com/product/servicenow-csa-exam-questions However, you can also check out quizlet.
Hey I need your help - Hopefully you will respond soon
Great video! Have you shared your Trello template anywhere?
No, unfortunately, but I should definitely do so in the future.

I want to do the course. I have done many courses before this. can knock me
Go for it my friend.
what's the total cost for the certification, is it 1950$ including courses?
I believe it's about $1500 for the required courses plus the exam.
Is the test proctored? I hear people cert administered the exam.
Yes it is proctored virtually.
Dude, this was so incredibly helpful. I very much appreciate you, and will def use your referral links!!
That means a lot. I wish you nothing but the best on your education journey. Keep me posted on your progress.
do you have a video covering strategy for General IT in WGU ? i cant find
Unfortunately, I do not.
What BS do you think would be easier to get if I already have Sec+ and know some CySA+ material ? Really choosing between General IT or IT Management, originally wanted Cybersec, but it looks much harder
For me the IT Management one is easier and helps you better understand the big picture of IT Service Management.
Is there another certification or skill to learn prior to taking CSA
Yes. Excel, SharePoint, and ITIL.
They definitely don’t use their own KB product for their documentation
Hmmm
This info is old now. It looks totally different and doesn't have modules.
Thank you for the update. Would you be willing to create an updated video tour? I would, but I no longer have access to the classes.

How did you get so many vouchers.
I purchased them after taking the courses. Some of them were out of pocket and some I got from learning credits through my employer.
What about the WGU computer science, how do I know which courses transfer
Use the link below, search for Sophia.org first, and click on the school of Technology menu and the Computer Science. Repeat for Study.com. partners.wgu.edu/home
