Hi Camille, I just started watching your videos and considering the June 2024 class if there is availability. I have a question about whether or not you use solvents in your paint in the initial stage. Your paint seems to go on so easily.

I would love to see you do a video on "how" to see those underlying colors you choose. It makes total sense value-wise and I can see sometimes why you chose the color but I feel when I, myself, try to determine a color that I'm just taking a random stab in the dark, LOL!! Also, is there a particular reason you choose purples and reds as the lay-in color for greens? What about lay-in colors for stone and earth? Thank you so much!!! I feel like I still have so much to learn despite my years of painting. You have been a great inspiration to me to push me closer to where I want to be. I want to strive for looser and more fluid brush work, not overthinking every decision, paint with confidence, and truly grasp the feeling of my scene. I would love to paint as if it were just second nature to me...I need to turn my left brain off!!

Je découvre vos vidéos et vos peintures que je trouve très très belles. Comme je suis débutante surtout pour la peinture de paysages, toutes les explication que vous donnez me sont précieuses. Pour cette vidéo j'aurais bien aimé voir la photo de référence et ainsi mieux comprendre comment vous vous en inspirez ou l'interprétez. Voir votre palette aussi pour les mélanges. J'aime le choix de vos couleurs et j'aimerais comprendre comment vous les choisissez. Vous êtes une grande coloriste. J'admire la façon dont vous tenez votre pinceau et les touches de peintures que vous déposez avec aisance. Cela semble si facile mais je sais que cela ne l'est pas. Peignez vous à l'acrylique ou à l huile? Je vais regarder et suivre d'autres démos de vous et la suite de cell-ci. Et ensuite j'aimerais suivre quelques uns de vos cours si c'est possible pour moi car je ne parle pas l'Anglais correctement. Vos cours en vidéos ont-ils des transcriptions en Français? One of the best demos from Camille, thank you! Hope you also post the demo done on this same site during a slightly cloudy day that Eric Rhoads posted recently for Plein Air Saturday. Seeing the difference between the two days really highlights Camille's mastery of capturing the light in a given scene.

Love your work and watching your process, especially your Plein Aire work; looking forward to these 30 days. I'm taking oil lessons and have my toes in just about every other medium, as well, watercolor, pastels, etc. I have also dabbled in videography a bit. May I humbly suggest you set up your camera opposite your painting hand, and a bit straighter to your surface, over your left shoulder for instances, assuming light and work space allows. Yesterday's drawing was bleached out from the angle glare and your right hand blocks

You mentioned color notes that you will place between the light values and dark; a mid tone? Is that a blend of the two colors used for the dark and light or are you making choices in both a new color and temperature choice?

Wow i was thinking how messy when i zoom into any area, but after reading your description i remembered, its been about 3yrs since i last studied art. So now thank you for a superb rerendering tutorial and Happy New 2024.
