Thank you
Hello there ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ thanks for sharing your garden tour with us 🪴 Those pink and white Stocks look pretty 🌸 You have a large variety of tomatoes 😍 I hope you’ll find the monster who attacked the beets soon 😄 Delphiniums absolutely looking glorious. I really enjoyed the garden tour and you are an inspiration to me 😊 Have a wonderful weekend friend 💕🌷
Thank you so much! I love being able to share the garden. ❤️
when you think the thrips are gone keep spraying for another month they have a way of coming back when u let up
Great idea I think I'm going to do that. Thrips really are the worst. At least the Japanese Beetles I can make sure are off the plants.
Hope they do the job!
Thank you me too
Do you mean "beneficial insects" !!!!????
Yes! Thank you for catching that!
Thank you for this great video ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ You showed us clearly that how to apply Beneficial inspects against thrips. I wish you to overcome with this struggle soon 😊 I hope you enjoyed that melon, was it tasty? 🙃 You are a great gardener indeed 💖 Have a wonderful day 🌷
Thank you. I hope so too. I would love to grow my gladiolus again. The melon was delicious. Like a honeydew cantaloupe cross very tasty! Have a wonderful day!
That dream! 😂
Right! True nightmares of a gardener!
Hello from a fellow UA-camr and a new Subscriber ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ Wow your garden looks so beautiful Nicole 😮 Lot of vegetables and flowers 💐 Thank you for this garden tour 😊 Have a great day 💖🌷
Thank you so much! Have a wonderful day!😊
Very good 👌
Thank you
I am in zone 5 and have the same problems this year beetles and smoke. The beetles especially like my apple trees. Your garden is beautiful thank you for sharing!
Thank ypu very much! I hope the smoke clears soon. I really really hope they are able to get ahead of the wildfires so we didn't have the smoke anymore. The beetles are no fun but thankful don't last but a few weeks. They have not bothered my apple tree yet but love my raspberry bushes!
Sharing everyone of Jesus Christ, He is coming back. We are spiritually saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord God and Savior.
The thing with Asters is they’re long day plants. They do most of their growing up to the longest day of the year, from then on their energy goes towards blooming. I’m not sure much can be done at that point to get them significantly taller. I start them early and pot them up indoors before I can put them outside to allow them to grow as much as possible before summer solstice. But maybe someone out there’s figured out another way! 🙂 5:40
Good to know! Do you use them more as a spray type cut flower or are you able to get multiple cuts from them? I seem to be able to get multiple cuts if I use them for jar arrangements which I'm ok with shorter stems.
@@edgeofwild2175 I typically get a few long stems from the main shoot and then also from side shoots, I divide those if I can. Some varieties grow in a thick spray with tons of blooms per stem so of course use them like that. I’m just not able to get much more per plant the remainder of the year because they won’t put on the growth. I’ve heard people trick them stopping the light cycle so they bloom earlier and presumably rebloom? I’m not sure, that’s too much for me, I think. Will have to try shorter arrangements, sprays of asters in jars sound lovely!
@@mibatey good to know. I might plan these more for my jar arrangements then and not for wrapped bouquets. I think they will work well for a wedding I have coming up. Thank you so much for the information!

I'm so glad I found you.
Gorgeous bouquets and your helpers are so cute! You are so patient with them. My daughters are now grown. I remember those days fondly but also recall how challenging it was to get anything done. Brava to you!
Thank that is a huge compliment. It's certainly not easy but it's worth it because it's such a short period of time they are this little.
Beautiful bouquets! You have an eye for colour!
Thank you so much!
Your garden looks great and ready to explode! I grew six of the Mahogany Hibiscus last year for the 1st time and I did not pinch them. They branched out naturally and grew at least 4 feet tall and wide by the end of season. I only have four growing this year as I found I didn't use a ton of it last year. Much success in all you do and grow!
Oh good to know! They are certainly rather close together if they get that big but live and learn!
Everything looks so lush! A beautiful and productive garden! Well done! Did you fall plant your Asters? Mine are sooo small and yours are blooming. I live at the Southern most tip of mainland Canada zone 7a. :)
I started them inside in late March and planted out in the spring. I think it is a bit to cold in the winter for much fall planting. Our lowest temperature this winter was -30. I am in zone 4 here in Northern New York.
My leaves look like that on my cucumber plant and some others, so I suspect slugs, too. Gonna have to get something approved for organic gardens. 🫤
Yes or look up a beer trap for slugs and try that. They can cause alot of damage in a short amount of time
@@edgeofwild2175 I've heard of people who have great success with the beer traps but sadly has not worked for me. 🫤
Oh darn! I've heard great things about them. The slug and snail bait is labeled organic and does work. I have found tall grass, weeds, or mulch seems to bring more pressure as well. Have you tried dried egg shells?
I an growing so many pumpkins and squashes! I love having them as a go too dinner!
Do you have a favorite recipe?!?
@@edgeofwild2175 I love mash potatoes squash and mix it into mash or shepherd pie! I love butternut squash soup too!
oh in shepherd pie would be tasty. I will have to try it!
Good haul of potatoes! I see you seem to be doing a modified Ruth Stout garden. I too, am doing a modified Stout garden(did the same last year and it worked great). My seed was planted in dirt, then grass clippings over top. Didn't hardly have to weed all last year. Doing my potatoes in pots, though. Beans, peppers, squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers in the ground.
Yes mulching helps reduce weeding so much. I'll be interested to hear for the potatoes do in pots. I have a friend that does that with pretty good luck.
@@edgeofwild2175 I'll let you know if I remember in 100 days.
We had another frost last night and due for another next week. This is insanity.
We have a slight chance again Wednesday 24th 🙃. I agree totally crazy. After last year's cold slow June I would love some warmer weather.
Looking good so far.
Thank you!
very neat Idea, I wonder if you could mix a fertilizer or other nutrient into the flower mix
That would be interesting to try and see if it helped
Looks fantastic. Well done.
❤️
❤️
I love the long stems! I have to grow more yarrows. Also what a great idea to use peony foliage.
Yarrow is so pretty I want it in all my gardens now!
I need to grow more snapdragons next season. What are some of your favorite varieties? Thanks I love the yellow and white one.
I love the yellows. I wanted the whites but didn't use them like I thought I would. I used the pontiac snapdragon from Johnny select seeds and loved them would do that over a rocket mix for sure
Love all the pretty bright colors
Thank you!
Very pretty. I love all the texture that you use.
Thank you! I love the interest it adds
I felt that you needed more colorful stems, interesting to use hosta leaves, your arrangements were lovely.
I certainly need more spring flowers to really bright the pop!
@@edgeofwild2175 many years ago I attempted to learn, make and buy flowers in Downtown Los Angeles. It was hard, hard work. I learned a lot about creating and selling. Wishing u much success.
Hi! Thank you for this video. I live in Washington State and I am always confused on when to plant garlic. 😆🧄
Awesome haul!! Love all the different varieties. I did the no-dig this year, just dumped a few wheelbarrows of compost onto cardboard on a grassy hill near the house and transplanted into that. I guided them down the hill as they grew to help them from sitting in moisture, didn't worry about mowing around the pumpkins once they got going. There wasn't much pest pressure (except rogue chickens! 😅) but we have a bunch of cats and dogs that are outside a lot. Maybe planting them near a spot where your dogs hang out will help critters stay away, at least during the day? 😊
I love how easy pumpkins can be! That sounds like a great setup! I am gunna have to do some more experimenting for sure 🕵♀️
They do look nice but too much greenery. But they are ok too. :)
It's definitely a challenge in the spring here with just less flower choices. I hope to up my flowers so I don't need as much greenery to fill them out. I would love to see more color in there.
Reminiscent of what I said this year too... " Had a lot of setbacks but learned a lot for next year" :)) Beautiful lawn, landscape, and pumpkin varieties! If you have ducks... they work cheaper than the cost of product for slug/snail pressure. Ground squirrels/rabbit appeared to be my rampant pests. I did manage to avoid all weed pressure....Consider laying down "Dewitt woven weed fabric" far superior to box store junk fabric, re-usable for many years!
Every season is about having grave and learning lessons. I love the lessons that gardening teaches me and how we get to try again next year. Ducks would be an awesome idea. I don't think I have a place to keep them year round though. I might have to do something like that. We have a road fabric that would probably work well. Now that I know the deer are not as much of a challenge I might consider that. Thank you so much for the suggestions. I really appreciate all the support and help.
Love all the textures against the bright pop of sage, really pretty!
Yes the deep colors of the flowers and the bright foliage is beautiful. I love adding color and texture with foliage.
Beautiful!
Thank you!

Dear Lord!! The lupines are glorious!
Thank you I just love watching them bloom. Definitely my favorite flower of spring
That's funny I do the same thing with the water level! Your sunflowers look great with nice strong heads, some of the ProCuts are pretty floppy and hard to work with. Beautiful sunflower bouquet!! 🌻
Thank you! Yes it was a bit of a learning curve. I try to remember to tell customers as well.
