The song is the Glee version of Barely Breathing and the clips are from both the first two new movies. I promise I don't hate Uhura so I'm not trying to blame everything on her lol, it just went with the song.

I made another fanvid :) The song is Screw the Ocampa by Aurelio Voltaire and the clips are from Voyager obviously lol except for that one scene of the wormhole, that's from Tng, the wormhole did go to the Delta Quadrant however :P I don't own anything, I just am really obessed with Star Trek and this song :)

The Ocampa were a cursed and dead race. At very least, they lose half of their population EVERY generation. (Each female of the race can only ever be pregnant once, and even then under very specific circumstances.) They can only supposedly have one kid at a time. And don't even forget that they only live to be at most like 9 or 10 years old. I totally agree, screw the Ocampa, I wanna go home.

Holy crap, the song this is spoofing was on a tape Dad played on road trips growing up, but I never heard it anywhere else. I'd almost forgotten the song must exist outside that tape. Anyway, nice parody.

At the end of Basics part 1 when Janeway tells her crew to eat worms I was ready to strangle her. She led the crew into a Kazon trap, got them stranded by the Kazon after blowing up the only chance to get home(The Caretaker Array). I would've led a mutiny and set phasers to kill. Kirk and Picard would never put the entire ship at risk to go fetch Chacotay's baby, which wasn't even his. Janeway is a moron. The only reason they got out of that mess was plot armor and Tom Paris.

I think this person did the video well, but I just don't like the whole push to make everything gay. Two guys, including two male characters, should be able to be close friends without everyone thinking it's a gay thing. There are lot of examples of men throughout history who have been closer than close. That doesn't make them gay. I get that this is fan fiction, but more than half the music videos on UA-cam about Kirk and Spock make them out to be gay. This was a thing even back in the 60s when the original series was out. Has nothing to do with obsessive political correctness or (turning everything gay for the sake of it), it's simply because they were always seen as a couple by a lot of the fandom, long before the movies. Especially when Spock called Kirk his thyla (Vulcan term for friend/lover) in the old movies. I believe even the original series writers/actors commented on it at some point. Honestly in my opinion, Spock and Kirk have as much chemistry as Spock/Urhura (not sure where that idea for them even came from).
If you don't like people 'gaying' everything, why are you watching slash videos? If there were anywhere near adequate lgbt+ representation, perhaps people would not be so inclined to do so. Although I think Spock and Kirk have serious chemistry, even the first time I watched star trek I assumed they were an item, or about to be.
bella -gee Smith Gay people are proportionally over represented in movies and television, population wise. The reason I am watching these videos is that I like the platonic love videos. With Kirk and Spock fandom you never know what you're going to get. Just because two men are close does not mean that they are going to be gay. Historically men were able to interact with one another on a deeply emotional level without any notion of homosexuality being suspected.
Yes but we not talking about a society views on things. A good majority of the people who saw the movie probably didn't think that they were gay but your watching UA-cam fan videos which are made by people who are really into the fandom. I don't think it's exactly a new trend that obsessed fan girls (or boys) like to pair up random characters, just look at fanfiction, even from 2003. Not just gay couples but just about every character is paired up with every character in fanfiction. UA-cam videos are typically made by the same group of fans. Most Kirk and Spock videos are gay because who else is really going to spend 2-5 hours making a video except someone who really ships the couple. Type in Spock/uhura and you will get the same results
