Loved the video - old time Camtasia user, but new to 2023! Quick question - in the 2019 version, I could lock the aspect ratio when selecting a portion of the screen to record, and I can't seem to find how to do that in Recorder 2023. I would select HD, then click on the padlock, and it would allow me to select a portion of the screen and keep the aspect ratio the same. Any idea how to do that in Recorder 2023?

hello! I don't see to have the Export button. Only Share - Custom Production, etc. But the SCORM options are not there. I still produced the file but my LMS said a manifest was missing.

That looks like a PC, I have Mac. I was trying to put a hot spot with a link to a website, and it needs a SCORM too. I got the link to work, but at the end it doesn't do what its suppose, keep going. Then when I went to export it, I normally use the local export and move that to UA-cam, but figured I need to use the UA-cam feature in this instance, and when I did, it said the hot spot wouldn't be supported. Help!

No matter what I do, mine will ONLY animate the scale, but not the position of my image. I do 3D animation so I know how this is supposed to work, and it's not doing it. EDIT: Found it. There's a "toggle one/all" edit button up there it doesn't tell you about. EDIT EDIT.... (last one, I promise 😹) on that second example would've been perfect to illustrate the "Bounce" easing for those who aren't familiar. 😸

Good grief. There's a high proportion of very popular UA-cam channels that need to watch this. So distracting.......Surely, writing your script in advance and using an old laptop or tablet as an autocue would reduce the need for cuts? Nice video - thanks.

If you hold the SHIFT key while you reshape the circle (or any other shape) it will keep the X and Y locked, so they grow in the same rate.

Can Camtasia select different camera inputs like OBS as a scene input, I have not found that it can (yet). I have Camtasia, and am really enjoying the Camtasia training that you are providing. I also as soon as I open the record function, I automatically save as file name that I want. I'm glad to see that I can set a different location in the tools. Thanks for the tips!

Hi Ken - I'm using the latest version of Camtasia 2022 and I have used the pan on some text with a custom animation but when I right click I don't see the Linear option - I have the following options: Exponential In/Out (who knows what that does), Bounce, Spring, None and Auto - any clues what to use for the smoothest pan?

Very helpful and easy to follow. I can't believe that I never knew about the tilt left and tilt right feature. I was trying to learn how to do that for soo long but never really knew what it was called to search for it. Thank you!

Wouldn't 'restore' from the animations be the easiest way to bring the popped out box back to its original position? That is what I would've used for something like this... does it create some issue I need to be on the lookout for?
