Let's build something together!
Wood turning: Making beautiful handles
This was a perfect gift for a bartender friend of mine. I used black walnut and oak to woodturn two-tone wooden handles, and the metal parts are from the Rockler bartender cocktail "Bar Tool" set. They have a great screw release, which makes also for easy cleaning.
If you are just starting out on the lathe or with wood turning in general, this project is beginner friendly, as you can even use dowel rods and do minimal shaping to the overall handles. After an wax oil finish, the handles are looking great!
Live project description is outlined in the captions.

What size hole saw did you use and why?
The biggest one I had!... so that I could have somewhere to start in order to cut the slats out for the bed.
this was incredibly helpful, I thought I wanted aluminum but your demonstration and explanation really showed me I wanted an acrylic piece for a photo of my mother! so thank you!
Great job! I was just wondering how does the folding part (let's say) stay in place without any support, maybe I missed something 😅
Good question! The middle lays on top of the folded down seats. The third part closest to the driver seat is supported via some small climbing cord looped through the seatbelt structure.
At least give the credit of the design at the right person. That design didnt come from you at all.
Nice
Boy that is a lot of accusations
Insightful analysis. Love it
hi Linus

Thanks so much for making this video, Eric. I have been browsing "Alu-Dibond" videos for an hour now, and none of the videos was answering any of my questions! Most videos do not show the surface differences very much or they do not compare different formats, so it's hard to estimate the differences!

How can I get the aluminium sheet
Do you think I could make one for my C3 picasso,? Only marginally smaller than a berlingo..I'm not bothered about the headroom as im short.
Hey! Totally! Just make each section a bit more narrow and the concept will certainly transfer over.
Fantastic build my guy! I am looking for inspo to build this summer, and this is the bees knees! Especially liked the lid with the catch on top of the drawer :)
Att det finns så många sjuka människor på samma plats 😮😢
hallo. kannst du mir bitte den plan von campingbox senden. vielen dank 🙏
Just looking at the first 2 photos I can see that the 18-135mm adds a little more contrast and saturation.
I built a very similar box except I split the bed portion into 2 seperate foldout sections. I can remove both seats or just one depending on whether I need a double or single bed. Bravo, very nice job!
Thanks to GVM-Corner 💯

Great and simple! Well done. Thx for sharing. Have a great journey time :)
I bought the plan for 10 euros, will update to this comment if he sent it to me!
he sent it to me highly recommend!
I don t find it in the description..😮..U can put the link here?
Great job dude 😊 well done 👍
Amazing! Can you share your plans with me? I want to make something similar, would be great to see your dimensions! Cheers!
Hey there! Please see the description for info how to get the plans! :)
Otherwise, I've also put the dimensions in the subtitles!
Do you find the split mattress uncomfortable ?
Not at all, it is very comfortable! We put a soft mattress cover/protector type thing on top of the mattress, and then the sheet. Bamboo sheets...also recommended :).
Amazing
Can anyone explain how i can pay for the plans? I see a paypal, however also something about membership, though can't see anything more about how to get a membership
Hey there! Just write your email in the paypal comment, and "camper box plans". Then I can send them to you directly, or even give the link over paypal chat. The membership is just kind of like a Patreon through UA-cam, some people choose to support creators this way. You can find that if you subscribe and then click "join" on my profile, you'll see some options with perks etc. For those who are members, they can essentially deduct the membership fee from the price of the plans. Hope that helps!
Eric, I currently own both the Fuji 16-55 2.8 and the 50-140 2.8 lenses, but as I start to shift to primes, I'm hoping to just have one single zoom lens to cover this range. However, IQ is important to me. I shoot mostly candid shots of people at indoor and outdoor events. Did you ever manage to do a comparison between 16-55 and the 18-135? I'd be curious to hear how you feel the IQ compares in the focal ranges where there's overlap. Is the extra weight and more limited focal range worth it with the 16-55?
Hey there, honestly, it is always personal preference about the balance between IQ vs the ease of taking photos. I did not do a direct comparison with the lenses you mentioned, but I did do one with the XF 10-24mm. On that video you could find at least the 18mm and 24mm comparisons with the 18-135mm. All that said, if you are mostly taking photos of people, my choice would be the 18-135mm paired with a good prime portrait lens.
@@ericinthewild, yeah it certainly is a balance. So hard to have it all in one lens! I'll likely replace at least my 50-140mm 2.8 with the 18-135mm because I find it a bit impractical at times b/c it's so large and is limited to the longer focal lengths. I may hang onto the 16-55 for a bit but eventually drop that one too. Thank you!
nice, I have made similar . For my project, i will build something like this ua-cam.com/video/JqAcYAiIaXg/v-deo.html simple, you really don't need much else.
"Beach wood" no beach plywood. And that is not a "jig" that would be a "fence"...
Did you copy this plan? ua-cam.com/video/SqtSZzeh-Wk/v-deo.html I built this three years ago from plans I found at GVM Corner.
Yes, a slight modification of that. The original is credited within the description, and has been since the beginning. You can also find GVM Corner even commenting on this video. ;) ... Not only that, but I also arranged with him to give a percentage from any of the modified plans I sell.
A good designer need Indian and Chinese to get scaled up Later on a business
I had an A9 and a A7 iii, I decided they were too similar and I wanted higher megapixel images so I sold my A7 iii and got a A7r iii. No regrets and problem solved!
Well done, great job ! Im watching this with my dog and he thinks these giant bone shapes are delicious 👍🏾
Haha! I thought the same thing when I cut it out!
Well... That it looked like a bone. The flavor I'll leave to your dog to decide 😂.
Great idea, great work. I like it. Well done mate😊👍
You want to talk about light, look at tiny camper video, he makes things out of Cardboard for heaven sakes (and cheaply too-left over cardboard is easier to find than leftover wood!!! This video is too much on build and not showcasing assets of box.
You want lightweight think about foam board wrapped in fiberglass for the ultimate inexpensive sturdy diy lightweight furniture, trailers, truck campers or whatever else you can think of. The process to look for is FOAMIE
What does it weigh without any thing in it?
I haven't weighed it -- but I can carry it by myself if needed, with two people it's very comfortable to move around.
Well done!
9mins to show the build no video of how it actually functions.
Ok, so far $1000 worth of tools, maybe $2000…and then extreme set of skills……ah, NO!
Everything was running smoothly until "auto import". For some reason my Lightroom doesn't have this option? Any suggestions?
Шурупы в торец фанеры это нормально?
No, but necessary for the way this is built. If you predrill the holes you will be more successful. Alternatively, use a different hinge mechanism. If I built it again, I would inlay different hinges... Because you're right, this is the weakest part of the build.

Toll gemacht! Super genial!
Viel Erfolg beim Bauen!
Do you need to disconnect the battery before removing the fuses and wires?
I always would. On our 2011, the negative terminal has a quick release machanism.
What a beautiful place and your story and photography is brilliant. Definitely a place to visit. Thank you so much for sharing.
