Thank you so much!!! I'm glad you found the show and love it! That Ecco the Dolphin short has actually been an amazing little ad to bring viewers to this show! It's wild, too, because I put that out well over a year ago, and it just started picking up steam within the last few months! That's why I had Lara reference Ecco in this episode! That game has done so much to help promote this channel, and it's become Cooper's most hated game! 🤣

Thank you so much!!! I had to film most of this episode over the summer, when it was 100°, and I couldn't turn my AC on, so it was not easy to look pretty and maintain that makeup! Haha. I already shot most of the Metroid episode, and I've already started editing it! Samus is actually getting a two episode arc, so you'll get to see quite a bit of her! 😉 I basically wrote this episode like an episode of Doctor Who, specifically so I could deliver an epic monolog against bigots like that author at the end. There are A LOT of people who need to hear that and absorb it. Unfortunately, like Lara points out in her speech, their ignorance is invincible, so it will mostly fall on deaf ears. 🤷‍♀️

Thank you! There's a lot of production that goes into each episode to make them this quality. But that also means it's difficult to produce a ton of content, making it hard to get pushed by the algorithm. I am super happy that the show is finding its way to more people like yourself, though! Season 4 is our biggest, most high production season yet, and the next episode, Tomb Raider, should be dropping real soon!!!

Omg, thank you! My show does not fit well into the YT algorithm, so it's a slow process to get people to see it. But, the show is only as good as it is because I don't worry about riding the algorithm, just what would be best for the show. I'm glad more people like yourself are starting to discover it!

I don't think the game is scary. I get why other people might, though. This scene didn't really scare me, but it definitely gave me sensory overload when I was a kid! Hahaha

Yeah, this scene traumatized some kids back in the day! Haha. I was undiagnosed autistic, so I just remember the sensory overload making me feel severely uncomfortable. I didn't even get scared so much as I just shut down because of the loud noise and flashing lights. Haha 😭

This game starts out super hard, and only gets harder the more you play! Haha.

It is WILD!!! Haha. And, somehow, the story that inspired it is even more insane! If you haven't heard it, look up the story of John C Lilly and his dolphins that inspired this game!

I actually wasn't all that bothered by this scene when I was a kid. Lots of my friends were, though. My trauma came from Welcome to the Freaking Machine! Hahaha. That level broke me psychologically!

It was even worse when they were used in 3D platformers! I tried to replay Tomb Raider and Croc recently. Both use tank controls, and both feel impossible to play now! Haha.

@@GameplayFowl Tomb Raider 2 was my first Tomb Raider and let's say, the 180° spin buttom became my best friend real quick. The fact that games with tank control (and the newest God of War games) need a 180° spin buttom, proves how flawed their control sceme is.

I tried to capture the reaction we all had as kids to some of these early scenes from the game that made it VERY clear this was not made for children! 🤣😂

Well, it took freaking forever to make this! Haha. It turned into a full-blown movie. It was supposed to come out in April, but it just kept getting bigger and bigger! I promise it was worth the wait, though!

You raise a great point. I absolutely need to add accurate captions to these episodes. It's just very time-consuming with the way YT has it set up. That character, in particular, can be very difficult to understand, though, so I will have to get this one done sooner than later.

@@GameplayFowl it's the best but it's new owners completely ruined the game and haven't heard of anything new about it since kid conker or whatever. We could have had the next conker game when he ended up spending the entire Kingdoms Treasury. That was what I heard.

I make some reference to that in this episode, but I explain the full connection in my playthrough. That whole story is WILD!!!

It really was! As kids in the 90s, somehow, these ridiculous, overly complex, and convoluted stories made perfect sense to us! "Oh, a super dolphin has to go to Atlantis to find a time machine to go back in time to fight dinosaurs, so he can save the future from some aliens who are going to consume all the life in the ocean? Yeah! Totally makes sense! Just like the freaking Morphin' Grid and all those clones of Spider-Man!" 🤣😂
