Thanks Doug for this video.❤ I am watching this after hurricane Helene & Milton. It is so sad all the devastation that has occurred. I am so lucky as I do not live in a flood zone and actually live on a somewhat hill. We escaped with about an hour without electricity. A few large tree like branches which fell, but not on any electrical lines or grids. We have lot of debris which will take a few weeks to clear off. I am praying for those so suffered so much damage.🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for a very interesting video. I wander, if you have recomendations in case you have to travel with public transportation, or let's assume you can not make it back to your car - for what ever reason. What would you have in your Get-home-kit (GHK) in this case? It's not a theoretical question. I have no car and travel with public transportation which works fairly good since I live in Central Germany. For years now, I'm trying to optimize my GHK to fit in my every day's backpack to have everything that's necessary, and keep it handy and not to heavy to really carry it with me ( and not to stuff my backpack to the brim). What would you consider as necessary besides a fire kit, a 1st aid kit, some emergency blankets, a head light, a map of the area (the best I could find is 1:25 000), water and some nutrient bars, and a few meters of thin but strong paracord. Yet, I always have the feeling of something is missing (and it's not my rosary). I would very much appreciate your thoughts about this subject. Maybe - maybe - you could make another video regarding these things because other people might find it helpful, too. Kind regards from Central Germany, Ariane

My son is in Asheville NC and though a tree fell on his house and the basement flooded he was protected and is okay. So far. 🙏

Doug you and I live in one of the most blessed areas in this country. That does not mean we couldn’t face a catastrophic situation and I have done as much as I can to be prepared. We do have to look out for our neighbors and help as much as we can to help because I am convinced our government would just as soon we die as help us. Don’t care one donkey’s hind leg if someone thinks that is a conspiracy theory. At 81, I think I know what I’m talking about.

I got in on the tail end of the live so I am tuning in now. My heart & prayers go out to all those that have suffered so much in hurricane Helene. My community in FL was spared most of the damage. Therefore we are gathering food, dog food, hygiene products, and other requested items & donations in money. All of this is being sent out in large truck and later flown in. I pray this small effort will help a little. Prayers 🙏🙏🙏 Thanks Doug for constantly reminding us to get prepared as some of us are reluctant to spend the money and find areas to store the emergency products. 🥰

Mental health experts advise that you should not dwell on events that don't involve you. It's only because of mass media and social media that people know what is happening somewhere else. Jesus doesn't want people to worry. I am prepared but I strongly recommend that people do not dwell on natural disasters or labor problems that have little effect on their own lives.

Thank you Doug for all your info to prepare for disaster. I am partly prepared. I do get at least 12wks of supplies at a time. Unfortunately I do use them and then restock. Luckily I just stocked up last week. I do have 3mo. of extra medication for myself & my son. I have gotten my BMI and everything in the right range and should be able to get the Inspire Implant mid-Oct. which would eliminate my need for electricity to run my Bi-pap for my COPD. Thank you for all you do, Doug. 🥰🙏
