It is indeed wonderful, as is Johnny Flynn who composed, sings and plays the stunning theme music🎶 He deserves a mention🤗🌷
Can anyone interpret “Loving Me”
This is a beautiful poem , I learnt it at school , I’m in my late 70’s not well and want peace just want peace , the first two verses I could remember , just for me saying them out loud brings me peace , now I must try and remember the rest . Easy listening Thankyou.
Thank you , but it is pronounced Innish Free
My favourite author
What a lovely ode to quilting, thank you ladies for sharing your passion with quilting 💜
I found it by accident and it really made me laugh in places. So nice to have a series with no gore and explosions.
Noice
The views and likes for this talk is disheartening. Keep going.

The Democrats have become Trump’s best (reluctant) friend, doing more to further Trump’s career than imaginable. They turned him (and Ashley Babbit) into Martyrs. They can’t help themselves. They have swum out into the Trump undertow and now can’t swim free of his grip. I live Jeff’s insight.
jeff tied together all of the elements of ur-fascism and made it make sense for me in the context of the american fascist movement. what really stands out to me from his book is how much he describes the aesthetics of the scenarios and the theater. Fascism was and is a politics of aesthetics, theater was as integral to it then as it is now. Even not considering climate disaster the future seems very bleak
Thank you for making this available. Jeff is working hard to educate us as to trending threats to the future of American democracy. I pray more people find him.
Good review and 100% right ❤
Enjoyed James 's and Laura's capturing the amazing wonder in small things! Also Laura's granddaughter's comment "It's going to be alright" delightful and wise!!
Yes to open to what is all of it.... sadness and devestation! so timely Rosemerry! Thanks. joanne
Also the beauty and joy of course!! Joanne
I'm a Suffolk gal born and bred although i moved west to Somerset many years ago. I absolutely LOVE Detectorists. A brilliant TV show worth watching again and again. Up there with Victoria Woods Dinnerladies. I've just returned from visiting relatives in Suffolk. Stayed at a place slap bang in the middle of where 2nd series was filmed and 4 miles away from the Saxon round towered church in Aldham. Had to pay it a visit as have many other Detectorist fans looking at the Visitors Book. Also recommend McKenzie Crookes beautifully filmed version of Wurzelgummidge.
Nice reading style. It’s one of my favourite poems but people usually butcher it when they read it aloud. Thank you.
"promosm"
Immense thanks
*Promosm* ☀️
Thank God, sir, your comments were favourable. In this country, Detectorists fans are very protective of this absolute gem of a t.v programme. People have walked down the aisle to the theme tune and others intend to have it played at their funerals.
Would you search the lonely earth for me? Wade through the briar and bramble? I will be your treasure....... I'm waiting for you.
One of the best kept secrets of 20th Century literature? There's nothing good in him being little known. Everyone should read him.
Thank you for teaching this. wow! amazing video, been trying to figure this out, thanks for sharing. to get your pattern though I wonder why I had to change the add/radius to 35, sides/6 tube/1/ steps 16. I'm using a windows program...wonder if it's different for other programs. I did get it to work and that is cool. :) How do you change size, so if you want it 3 inches wide, the whole thing?
A gentle and superbly observed comedy drama that uses pathos in a way that no other show has managed to do. A brilliant entertainment from start to finish!
The best!
1st.
Great review dude. Don't know if this news has travelled across the pond, but there is a new Christmas special episode coming on the 26th December, in the UK at least.
From one fan to another this is going to be my Christmas highlight that's for sure
This TV series is so relaxing, stimulating and gives one a good feel of contentment so I recommend it to everyone.
Great work
One of my favorite shows as well. It's surprising it's not well known.
Enkianthus 'Showy Lantern' instead of snowy. The rose is 'Therese Bugnet' instead of Theresa. It's Campanula instead of Companula and it's persicifolia instead of persificolia. It's Lobelia cardinalis instead of cardinals. It's Chelone lyonii instead of leoni. It's Myrica pensylvanica instead of Myric pensylvanica.
It was a wonderful video and a great way to see the presentation. Congratulations on everyone that participated. I can't wait until next year.
this book is really really good. Wish there were books like these about tropical and sub-tropical flora and fauna.
Some books I have enjoyed about nature south of the US are The Birds of Tropical America by Steven Hilty(not a field guide) I remember it opening my eyes taking about the islands of the Amazon River. Spix's Macaw: The Race to Save the World's Rarest Bird by Toni Juniper this introduced me to the "gallery forests" of northern Brazil. Oaxaca Journal by Oliver Sacks about the ferns of Oaxaca Mexico and other things. Scott Weidensaul has some great books on migration, the birds connecting north and sould ecosystems.
This is one of the best shows out there - I wish they made a 4th season. (I went to Dartmouth for my post-doctoral work)

Best show ever, watched so many times
I made the cookies yesterday with gluten free oats. Would recommend grinding them a bit so they aren’t so chewy. Chocolate is a must and the salt really ups the flavour,! Thx!
Megan you are such fun to watch. I love your relaxed presence in front of the camera and your pure sense of fun when making these stress free cookies. Most everyone will relate to when you bite into the chocolate! Am off to give the recipe a try. Hope you make more videos. This is a wonderful offering by your library. a viewer from Canada
Hi Diane -That is so kind of you to say. You've made my day! :) I have more cooking footage but need to find time to sit down and edit it. Hopefully, I can get them up soon. -Megan
Great work, Howe Librarians! Thank you for helping to keep me sane during this pandemic.
Hi Kate! Thank you for using the library during this time! I am keeping my fingers crossed that we'll be able to see our patrons some day soon! -Megan
You're a librarian. It's not 'The Detectorists'; it's just 'Detectorists'. Do you happen to have a copy of 'On The Origin Of The Species' to hand?
Hi. I am inspired by the natural deer herd on my property. They arrive yearly for the apples that fall. It is quite the something to see them interact from year to year and even I think develop trust. This year we were at 4 bucks I believe. Thanks for sharing. Hope your channel gets solid airtime.
The Detectorists is one of the best series I have ever watched. The ending is nearly perfect. I wanted them to dance!
Amazing content. Looking forward to seeing more from you. I think you should google SMZeus . c o m!! It’s a handy tool to have when you’re trying to grow your social media, UA-cam videos, website etc!!
Wow! This amazing your so underrated!
Keep up the great work Howe Librarians!
Thanks Joanne! -Megan
Isn't the stone in the snowball a spoiler? Pretty sure that isn't clear until the end of the book
You know, I believe you may be right. It's been some time since I've read the Deptford Trilogy. Many thanks for this observation--I have changed the title to reflect the presence of a spoiler.
@@howelibrary No worries. Was not trying to call you out or anything. That's just how I remembered the end of the book, though it has been a few years for me since I've read it as well
@@TheSitka123 You learn about the snowball in the first chapter, but you don't learn about the stone till the very last chapter. It is quite spoiler a actually
I love how in the trilogy it is the same story told but from different perspectives. Really makes you think about what really happened and what is the truth
This is awesome!!!! Loved this idea, it was wonderful to watch. I’m crying with laughter
So glad you enjoyed it! It was so much fun to make.
I didn't like this book, but I think my dislike was because it wasn't what I expected. I thought I was getting a comprehensive look at underground science and mythologies. Instead, it seems like more of a travel book that touches on areas of science and mythos all centering around MacFarlane's own experiences. I've considered giving it another try knowing that going in, but I wish it was advertized a bit better in the first place.
That's true, if one were expecting a book not centered around the experiences of the person exploring its themes, it wouldn't be satisfying. Most of Macfarlane's books are to do with journeying--I especially like The Old Ways: A Journey on Foot--and that's one of the marks of his writing. You might be more interested in Landmarks, which is structured differently, if I recall--though I'm sure it will still reflect his own endless wandering.
