The "place" and "category" ranges in C2? That's a dropdown list (Data - Data Validation - create a dropdown list with the options being whatever you've named the ranges you need to search inside). I can take a look at your sheet if I'm still off - shoot me a note (my full name at gmail)

Update I was able to get that to work. But is there a way we can have this based on a specific column. I have drop downs on column A but i have them well passed my last typed data in Comun B where I would like the page to go to on open.

You’re welcome! Google calendar does remove it from the guests calendar when they are uninvited. I tested it with two accounts and even if I didn’t send a note when uninviting them, it removed it from the second accounts calendar

Glad you liked the video! I'm not 100% sure but I would lean toward the inline css 3rd option simply because it's all code and doesn't fool with a separate file to load. I doubt there's a ton of difference in all of them as long as you make sure the png or svg files are sufficiently tiny.

It's probably the number formatting of the cell. Try setting that first to "Time" from the Format - Number menu. Then it'll recognize the time even if you enter it in a shorter form like 12am or 1am.

Surprisingly, no, there doesn't seem to be a way to automatically add this. Weird. If you use the sum or subtotal formula in the bottom row, it will automatically recognize that you want a total row and format a double thin line above that. I imagine this will be patched in in the future.

Yes, it gets more complicated as you continue to add, but you can repeat in the same way for additional fields.

@@EamonnCottrell Yeah, it's great because that can trigger a re-engagement automation. Basically, after X day no engagement, send them an email telling them that you noticed they haven't opened emails, if they'd like to stay on the list, click here. 3-4 days later, check if clicks were detected, if so, branch off with no change to subscription. If not, I tag them with 'dormant', and adjust your newsletter sends to exclude all dormant tagged readers. I'll then send a couple follow ups for 30 days apart, giving them 1 last chance to opt back into the newsletter before unsubscribing them. I get about 15-20% to opt back in to be readers.

You could use Match to find the position of an item in a range. You'd want to set the last optional parameter to 0 for an exact match. =MATCH(G1,C1:C,0) will look for whatever you type into G1 throughout the C1:C range and return the first exact match.

@@EamonnCottrell Thanks for responding. I was hoping to have the row number of each instance and not just the first one in the list because it is an unsorted list. The only way I can think of to do this is a lot of work. Basically, use MATCH on the first returned filtered row, then use MATCH, INDIRECT, and the returned row value to start looking after the returned row value (always the same column). Is there anything easier to do because another issue is I don't know how many items will be returned with the filter, although I could copy and paste the solution all the way down my search form, if necessary.

And actually, I don't think that will work like I want it to. MATCH doesn't seem to be giving me the right info. In my sheet, it should give me back 40 but it's giving me 142, which doesn't even match the search. 😔

Hey, good catch. It's because of how the SPLIT function works. I overlooked a detail for when there are two or more words in the split. Right now, split is splitting each occurrence of comma and spaces so it's splitting your composers into first and last names. To prevent this, add optional argument 0 in the split function for the [split by each occurrence] example (the zero is down there at the end before the E40 reference): =COUNTIF(SPLIT(JOIN(", ",$A$2:$A),", ",0),E40)

One way to get around this is to leave your current database in view only mode. Then create a new sheet that you can share editing permissions with your clients. In the new sheet, IMPORTRANGE the database onto one sheet. You can protect that sheet so it always has the current updated info, but the clients can't mess it up. Then on a new tab, create the search bar that is editable by them.

This is a little more complicated, but yes (provided you are logged into LinkedIn since you need to fetch the data at the url for the post. I have not built this functionality yet, though. Here is what the Javascript looks like if you run it in the dev console on a web page. You could, you'd just need to handle each of those cells with the different dates and times accordingly in the Apps Script. They can be referenced in the same format as I reference the single dates i.e. e[0], e[1], e[2], etc

Depending on the setup, you might have to use apps script to do the sequencing. Maybe not, though...if you share your sheet with me I can check it out and get a better idea of the exact use case. Would be simplest not to get into apps script...(my full name at gmail)
