Thank you for you intelligence
How can I, as a "community member with lived experience", contact someone on the Appellate Project team about this subject? Erin Lennon stated at 1:01:55 that "in those cases there's not a right (right now) to review at public expense" -but that position does not square with my understanding of Jafar v Webb.
Modification of RAP 15.2 and GR34 was an effort to gut Jafar v. Webb (2013), a bright line unanimous decision by Washington's Supreme Court rooted in part on Our State's Constitution, but largely on U.S. Supreme Court rulings ande the U.S. Constitution. The modification of RAP 15.2 and GR 34 was a cynical end run attempting to moot those decisions and documents to de3prive a large segment of the poor in civil cases to appelale relief from errorneous and unjus trial Court miscarriages of justice. The Jafar Court reconized the budget prolems afflicting smaller venues, but emphasized the word ALL nevertheless, stating anything less was unconstitutional. The current high Cout of ourSa e es up as raw man arguing the right of the poor to appeal a civil adjudication at public expense turned on whether they were enitled to an attorney at every stae during the trial Court proceedings. This invention of the legal fiction premise is intended to keep the flooades (in the Coru's view) closed against the tide of indient litiants seeking to appeal adverse unjust civil case rulins whee they were proceeeding pursuan to an Order to proceed in Forma Pauperis. The currrent state and lanuage of RAP 15.2 and GR34 are anethema to equal justice aand access effectively denied to the poor aempting to be heard before our appellate courts. They besty sympolize Beenjamin Franklin's(?) prediction the monarchsis would hide in the judiciary. We imported the King's Court wholesale into our newly founded Republic. OLur revolution remains incomplete. Kansas and Nevada have no such barrier on poor appellants such as Washinton State imposes. The problem is most accute in our Familky and Juvenile Courts, the breath-taking scope of Washington's interperation of what's in the best interest of the Child (Troxel v. Granville) and the failure to apply Strict Scrutiny before summaily removing childen from fit mothers w/o a fig leaf's wroh of Due Pocess by commissioners and judges bearing no accountability asnd litiants having no right to a jury trial.

Unjust and corrupt systems have made me a targeted indiviidual. Ive never been in any major trouble beyond traffic offenses but for some reason i am being harassed by community policing groups. Theyy vandalized both our cars, they follow my fiance and myself everywhere, even into stores, they surround us when driving, and forced me into the center barrier on I-5 at 60 mph almost killing me. It never stops and no one wants to believe first responders are actively participanting in this. Its the worst thing ive seen done to a human being. Lacey pd and fire puropsely pass several times a day with sirens going but the are no incidents or fires reported, as part of a noise campaign. Ive been mobbed at work, followed to other towns and had random strangers threaten to kill me. Please make them stop if you really want to help fight an unjust system before they do manage to do away with me or many others that have been put on this list for no reason. They violate our constitutional and 4th amendment rights to no warrantless surveillance every single day. This is German Stasi tactics being use on American citizens all across the country not just in Olympia Wa.
Greetings, for approx 2 years I've been diligently seeking Legal HELP & access to justice for me & my 2 little people being victims of Domestic Abuse coercive control. For 10 yrs I have been drug through the family courts! Abandoned DV by proxy, vexatious & abusive litigation. I've had not 1,2,3,4, or even 5, but "9" fraudulently reported CPS investigations against me. I've endured 2 failed pregnancies at high peak attack points. I have 2 types of arthritis. I've been the sole advocate for my children, both on IEP's, & all three of us have complex PTSD! My character has been so defamed in as much as I might as well be extinct. Unless the intent is to exploit, torment, torture, ravage, & enslave us, the only other conclusion is professional ignorance. Thurston Cty is clearly clueless requiring an immediate intervention for an unattainable number of lives systemically & generationally traumatized & damaged! The overall analysis of risk & cost and wasteful rework as the quality of life continues to exponentially decline is unimaginable. As a former productive member of society, I am afflicted & oppressed, indigent, & hopeless. I'm deeply wounded & partially disabled by repeated attack, assault, violation, torment, torture, community ignorance, community abandonment, and overall systemic failure. I've been rejected by said legal advocacies CLEAR over 4xs due to bandwidth. My home was broken into & I was assaulted b&b for over a month and wouldn't ya know, an arrest STILL HASN'T been made. It's been over a year. I got out, so I thought. In 2012, I left an impossible situationship for chance at a quality life, safety, & opportunity to excel. What I left, made its way to us in proximity. It has fully triangulated & trapped us. It's repeatedly, little by little squeezing the Life out of us! My son is still with me as perspective when considering the "best interest" of any adolescent! But my daughter, my little girl, a miracle & gift from God, my biological property, the sunshine in my days, the moons brightness at night, my body's shared central nervous system, and my once daydreamed aspiration that cane to fruition.... Was Severed! Deceptively & erroneously torn from her primary everything to be imprisoned, isolated, alienated, berated, invalidated, ravaged of her self identity, psychologically distorted & abused, groomed, molested, violated, and formed into a weapon aimed at my demise. A robotic trophy when in public but serves no other purpose but collaterally damaged supply for the culpable criminal perpetrator causing harm. An opposing Atty with 30 yrs, close personal & business relationships with Every Services provider in town. Inclusive as well to volunteer at the local legal clinic, has taught at the local community college, given talks at the local registry. It was entirely too easy for him to knowingly withhold critical evidence, jump on the bully abuser bandwagon, to denegrate me orally & in writing, to threaten my loss of my daughter forever if I didn't do what I was told & comply to our ABUSER! It was easy for the opposing Atty to blatantly commit perjury to legally kidnap my daughter. Almost every action taken against ME has been ex parte! No-one wants to talk about the complicity or possible collusion to distort a protective parents genuine cries and need for help & protection; rather to inflict absurd & erroneous sanctions that there are zero fiscal resources available to pay for and slim to none when it comes to legal aide sources to defend justice and truth! No one wants to talk about misleading & manipulating the court in as much as misidentifying me to be criminally prosecuted furthering our detriment while the culpable harm causing criminal gets away with destroying our lives!! For 10 years, a domestic terrorist perpetrator refuses to let me go and therefore I cannot live. How can I be a current & future teacher & partner in healing for the continuity of humanity if I can't even help myself? To be tormented by the ruminating vicious murder & grief of one's offspring for over 448 am/pm's that I haven't seen or spoken to my little girl isn't something I'd wish on anyone! The creases in me eyes from weeping every day & night for 448 am/pm's! The toll on my psyche, the toll on my heart, the toll on each of our souls & each of our overall lives expectancies; the absolute hopelessness in institutional rejection & betrayal..💔 I wouldn't want to be on either end of this detriment unfortunately I'm right in the middle. No one hears us. No one sees us. And there's no where for me to go?
My name is Sara Droz, I am a Parent Member of the Every Student Counts Alliance. Spokane, Washington Not a leader or a representative. I agree it is difficult to deal with fees. It is most definitely a road block, a frustration to low income parents, families.... It is a sad ussumption. Especially for homeless, houseless, jobless, women in difficult situations, smaller communities...isolated impacted... Or other. Not everyone is at a airport to get cash to card...prepaid credit cards.
So happy that AEJG is doing this work. It's time that the Criminal Justice System began to use data tools to deter intentional and unintentional implicit bias.
What specifically ARE the communities? My son is stuck in the system, state of Kansas and also federal. Im looking for possible communities for him. He needed mental health and couldn't find it, he has a 4 year old son and that relationship is suffering. What is the purpose of this video or how can it point the right way?
