Finally Playing Elden Ring! || Journey To My First Great Rune
Переглядів 150День тому
This video talks through the importantish moments from awakening as a tarnished to obtaining our first great rune! This was the biggest project I've done, so there was alot of trial and error. I have a lot to learn about making a scripted video like this but I hope some of you still find it enjoyable. I had a good time making it! . Twitch: www.twitch.tv/zazatore

Least it was an easy boss. (Also doing FOUR R1s when the boss is CLEARLY FLOATING UPWARDS is the definition of a skill issue)
definetly a broken fan
50 bucks fan repair
is that alot for fan repair?
i think your laptop needs an oil change
Full Synthetic? or Blend? haha
Use it to mow the lawn
@@xVoidCypher that made me laugh 😂 thank you
Fan is broken or hitting a cable
GG you’re done for
Get a new fan that happened to me before
@@cookiesonme8116 good looks I appreciate it
I like many of your points. I would say there is an easy explanation as to why Gwyn fears humans and more specifically the undead. Gwyn is very much aware of the prophecy of the chosen undead, including the legend of the Dark Lord. While he pretends to support the idea of finding the chosen undead to become the new Lord of Flame, his actions (imprisoning undead at the asylum) show that he actually fears the chosen undead will become the Dark Lord and is trying to delay or stop it from happening.
This was really entertaining to watch I loved this! This was a great video and also red wolf hating. Fair
Thank You! Working on Part 2 rn haha the fact they are just enemies in the wild later is horrible
Ikr? I’ve been trying to summon people to help some boss fights. And no one!
I think ive seen one maybe but usually i just see community notes that say "help" lol
uncle miya already said that they aint connected, plus souls and stuff work differently souls in dark souls are stated to be the source of life, while in demons souls, they are the source of thought, reason. likewise, God was the one who gave souls in the latter game, while in the former, fire just one day brought it to existence, souls are the power of disparity itself
dude when you go live ?
Tuesday is my usual day and then i try to fit two more days when i can. usually one on the weekend
Real 🔥🔥
Such a feeling playing this game for the first time
I was like ya im good haha
My main tip is to stop relying on the left stick cause it's extremely sensitive. Keep your left stick straght, only move forward and do your turns with the camera. It's much more stable that way.
shoot thats good advice thank you!
No worries we all have taken a dip into the void with torrent
How do you reconcile the mutually exclusive philosophical underpinnings of Demon Souls and Dark Souls as analyzed by The Gemsbok? It seems to me that's the biggest obstacle to connecting them.
Most people miss this fact because it's so well hidden... BOTH games, believe it or not, contain the word Souls in their titles. If that's not concrete proof then I don't know what is.
Cinema
Awesome video. I guess Demon’s Souls could also be the ending of the souls saga, too.
I appreciate that! I didnt think about that when I made the video but its an interesting possible timeline as well i like it
Great vid
Thank you! means alot
Even mobs in DS series have flask😂
Everyone? i never that actually knew that. I remember the starting mobs having it in Ds1 but all of em is crazy
Haha I love me flail chain-spin ability
I didn't know this thanks for sharing! i dont really know much about production and early versions of these games
@@zazatore8590 What are you talking about? No, I was referring to skill that comes with the basic flail weapon. The flail's chain spin ability hits fast enough that it can completely stunlock most NPC invaders, trivializing their fights
"Ill shit all over your face!" "And i took that personally..."
I got my ass kicked by him over and over and gave up. Then came back like 300 levels later and one shoted him.
must have been a good feeling! I let the other NPC fight him and got cheap backstabs in until i finally won haha
I always found NPC invaders annoying because they hit like a freight train while you lightly tickle them to death and that’d be fine if only they didn’t restore half their health and spin around on a swivel when you try to punish with a backstab. (I’m coping extremely hard bc of blackgaol knight)
There’s also the one guy from the volcano manor quest line with the two chain whips.
@ 💀
@@ChiefNineLegshe's easy, just use heavy attacks
@@Maddest_Lad I beat him pretty easily in my second or third try using bloodhound fang.
@@ChiefNineLegs I mean anything is easy with that weapon
No offense but I just beat Elden ring for the first time a few days ago. But people actually struggle with this guy?
Weak flex, but nice
@ My bad, wasn’t trying to flex just explaining that I had experience.
Lets see u beat the dlc
Also pretty sure u used summons So tbh u didnt play the elden ring we call hard Elden ring with summons is ez mode
Doesn’t look like this guys struggling, he just does low damage
That ash of war that comes on that one scythe keeps people from healing for a while. It’s a handy thing for invaders
I think that scythe is the one ive been using recently! love that thing but took me awhile to figure what it actually did haha
My headcanon was always on the assumption that the flames were created by the serpents for their entertainment because of how much they like to manipulate people, but your theory on the First Flame coming from the Slayer of Demons becoming evil for absolute power! Also explains how its power makes Gwyn really corrupt and makes him go mad with fear and desperation.
It explains quite a bit! glad you liked it
4:30 frampt is SO brainwashed by gwen that frampt is immediately ready to serve you along side kathe in the dark lord ending. Surley frampt isnt just trying to play both sides to come out on top no matter what 😂
Comment for algorythm because u deserve more shit
For... fighting an NPC in elden ring that literally everyone fights? Why?
appreciate it!
Um where’s cappra demon
Demon's Souls Remake isn't connected to anything but Sony's wallet. PS3 Demon's Souls is the wellspring from which all is formed.
Apologies if this turns into a light novel. Your understanding of Izalith is a bit inaccurate. The Demons are perfectly happy being Demons. They had a flourishing culture with unique architecture and even a religion of flame sorcery. They chose to become demons voluntarily. Quelaag affectionately hugs her demon half when casting the explosion. They are very much in favour of the proliferation of demons, and in development originally it was going to be demons who guarded both bells as they know that their ringing would mean something dangerous is coming for the Queen. The Witch of Izalith lost control of the chaos flame at one point much later, when her king (Jeremiah) left her for Fina. This is why he and his son (the wall hugger in Blighttown) were exiled. This is the “engulfment” the game refers to. She found comfort from this in the arms of the Nameless Blacksmith Deity, which are the ties that created Titanite Demons upon his death, and is why the strongest one respawns and guards an entrance to Izalith. There was no trickery or accident that created the demons. And additionally, “demon” is already a loaded term for players, but in the universe of Souls all that means is two creatures bound together as one. This is why the Sanctuary Guardian soul says it resembles the “beings known as demons,” being an amalgamation of multiple creatures. Pointless and slightly obsessive lore dump over. Sorry, it’s one of my favourite points of the story.
Thank You for filling in the holes of my lore knowledge! I definitely didn't know most of this or noticed Quelaag's affection. Small Details; good eye
Here's the funny thing though Bloodborne makes way more sense as a sequel to Demon's Souls since in production it WAS referred to as Demon's Souls 2. The Old One is one of many Great Ones and Father Gascoigne in the beta would say "Umbassa" in prayer and he still wears the Talisman of God in the final release!
😂😂😂😂 I did the exact same thing when i saw that long hair for the first time
its a must haha
My chemical necromance
I'm Kinda Okay (Maybe)
How did you kill tge hardest boss in the game with such ease
This is what 10,000 Hours of Elden Ring Looks Like
Um, why is there an unrelated video in the corner?
Not dead. In game "dieing" in that area at the start actually only brings you down to 1 health point before making you invincible and starting the cutscene after. The only way to actually die-Die at that place around the start is to jump off the arena and into the sea below since its an insta kill hitbox
Just go PAtches. Bald is based.
Good video but you missed the obvious connections between Dark Souls and The Adventures of Cookies and Cream
Next video??
This is pretty lazy content theft lol
I didnt watch a video on this connection. if someone else came to a similar conclusion thats great. watch both or one or none
Its literally him who recorded on twitch? he's just used footage from his own stream to make a yt video...
"if you don't know what demons souls is...." THEN GTFO 😉
haha then they should learn!
nice video
Appreciate it!
I have played Bloodborne a half a dozen times with different builds and can say I never parry. if its a mechanic you don't like then you don't have to use it, which means you're not using any bullets. Experimenting with builds is also what encourages you to use different weapons. Simon's Bow Blade is a BT weapon that wrecks the whole game so that build has no incentive to use the Saw Cleaver at all. Even for a strength build I have more fun with the Whirligig Saw. Sounds like you gave it fair chance though.
I think I actually really liked the parry mechanic so I always wanted to use it and then when I ran out of bullets I was frustrated I couldn't use it haha I get what you are saying though!
I think we moved along similar lines, here, though I beg to differ on a few details; Firstly, I don't believe Ocelot survived to have children. If he ever managed to fully exist, that is. His father " popped" him pretty early, if you catch my drift. And, more importantly, I think the Ashen One himself is who you're looking for. "Great chalices unlock deeper reaches of the labyrinth. Pthumeru Ihyll was the title of both the Phumerian monarch and its capital. This reveals that while early Pthumerians were mere humble guardians of the slumbering Great Ones, their descendants felt entitled to name themselves a leader." Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice. This is important; the Pthumerians didn't simply " find" the Great Ones; they were originally a race entirely dedicated to their service, and that of Oedon. The fact they are in a tomb also answers the next question; Where did the Ashen One go? Answer: they transcended the need for a corporeal form. Whatever was left of it is likely at the unknown bottom of the Chalice Dungeons, somewhere beneath all other layers. The Beast plague is much simpler, given what we see in Irithyll; Sulyvahn's Beasts are the obvious precursor to beasts of today, and they are the result of the power of the Dark. Since Light and Dark are no longer distinguishable in the world created by the Ashen One, it is quite natural that manifestations of both coexist and thrive( hence why beasts from Loran can use fire magic). More importantly, the very first reference to Bloodborne in it's development comes from Marvelous Chester in Dark Souls 1, where he was meant to tease it, back when it was called " Demon Souls 2". Indeed, his mask referenced the Fat Officials. In other words, a complete timeline goes like this; After ending the old world, the Ashen One creates a new world where Dark and Light no longer fight, and men are bid to use the power of Souls for good. However, on the second day, he is disappointed by the terrible works of Man, who uses the power of Souls to hurt his fellow, and thus creates the Old One and the Northern Regalia; a weapon meant for if someone noble enough in the human race could defeat it and prove him wrong. After Demon Souls, the Slayer Of Demons, becoming the new Monumental after defeating the Old One, limits the presence of the Soul in the world as the Monumentals once did between the Old One being sealed and reawakened the first time, attempting to prevent the Old One and those like it from breaking the nature of reality. Thus, men came to require conduits to interact with souls, such as Blood, and thus, souls came to be known as " Blood Echoes" , and blood it's most sacred conduit.
@alyseleem2692 I Like these Ideas! As for Ocelot's Survival, I assume the "pop" moment you mention is when Oceiros slams "him" down after enough damage is dealt by the player. I felt that was more symbolic that his link to the physical world was cut, and he was finally ascended. The ashen one elevating beyond a corporeal form is an interesting idea I didn't consider Also, I wouldn't say the Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice description solidifies the Pthumerians as entirely made as servants from the start. The description leaves room for the *first* pthumerians to "simply find" the old ones, and then this *early* generation become the guardians. That's how I read it atleast. As for the rest of the points, they follow soundly from a world where the Ashen One is ascended and created a world where light and dark are indistinguishable. It's good stuff; thank you for sharing!
@@zazatore8590 Thanks!

Bummer
brother used the rifle spear, no wonder he didnt enjoy blood borne as much 😭
I actually liked it haha but yeah probably not the most ideal
You know, it's transformed charged R2 kicks ass tho
Patches is in it. That basically confirms it, he's not a Patches _like_ character-- it's literally the same Patches, same voice with all the same traits and he survives to the very end and even winds up in Elden Ring.
I forgot Patches! good call and I finally am playing elden ring and found him haha
Lmao its true patches confirms the shared universe
Let’s just forget he’s in Armored Core. And King’s Field. And Bloodborne as a giant spider… I don’t think Patches is a reliable source for canonicity
I honestly wonder if Nightreign will connect all the games lmfao
he is everywhere
