Smooth Pool on the Westall Loop, just out of Streaky Bay, South Australia is a beautiful spot to explore rock pools and according to people we met who had just been snorkelling, advised it is amazing to explore under water. Sharks are a real factor in the area so care is required. We stayed there for a few hours, had a picnic lunch, explored the rockpools and chatted with other people there. Hi...

Davenport Creek camping area is approximately 40km from Ceduna. To get to the camping area you do require a 4wd to drive on the sandy track. We dropped our tyre pressures and had no problems. There were not many people around so have a plan on how you will recover yourself if you are alone. If you plan to camp you need to be self sufficient. There is a basic toilet as shown in the video. We fou...

Ceduna Shelly beach Caravan Park is on the outskirts of Ceduna, about 5 minutes drive from the centre of town. There are several other caravan parks in town. We really liked this one due to the beach, large sites, many trees and quiet environment. Video by Real 4x4 Adventures

Kingoonya Caravan Park is in Kingoonya, just behind the Kingoonya Bush pub. Kingoonya is a little over 40km from the Stuart Highway and Glendambo. The road is a dirt road which was lightly corrugated in parts when we drove through. The caravanpark is very reasonably priced with booking made over the phone. It is not a large park so bookings will avoid disappointment. From Kingoonya you can head...

Algebuckina Bridge on the Oodnadatta Track by Real 4x4 Adventures
Переглядів 6779 місяців тому
The Algebuckina Bridge on the Oodnadatta Track is situated about 50km South East of Oodnadatta along the Oodnadatta Track. When it opened in 1892 it was the longest bridge in South Australia. You can camp at the bridge which is what we did. The sunsets are amazing. There is no power, water or amenities available and when we were there it was pet friendly. by Real 4x4 Adventures

A short video during sunset in the Painted Desert by Real 4x4 Adventures. The Painted Desert is about 10 km from Arckaringa Station. There is accommodation at Arckaringa Station for a small fee. Definitely worth staying to be able to capture sunset and then only a short drive back to camp. The mound in the distance that is referenced in the video is Mt Batterbee lookout. I suspect this may be a...
Arckaringa Station Camping Area by Real 4x4 Adventures

We stayed at Arckaringa Station for a night. This allowed us to drive out and take sunset photos at the painted desert. It is about a 10km drive and the road is a little rough in places on the drive between the Arckaringa Station camping area and the Painted Desert. Arckaringa Station is a little under 150km from Coober Pedy, mostly on dirt. It's a little under 100km from Arckaringa Station to ...

What's the height of the bottom where the fridge its to the top of the tray?
Wow I can't wait to get back over to South Australia and spend more time exploring, loved Farina back in june .
There's so many amazing places in SA
Looks exactly like the Kings one,
Yeah I think the cheaper ones are all pretty similar.
Hi mate I just bought one of these off marketplace and came without instructions. How do I charge it up using the car's alternator?
I always used solar and mains battery charger. I thought you could charge via the anderson plug
1.44A, 12V would be about 17.28W.
wow very nice
It's a beautiful part of the world
Woorim side?
Yes
Cheers brother I took my ranger for the first time there on the beach today and it went really well. Thanks for sharing the knowledge to the newish 👍
Great video. Really useful for someone who wants to check the level of difficulty before tackling the tracks and beach on Bribie. Thanks!
We are glad you enjoyed it
Mate does the screen turn off automaticly?
Yes ours did unless it was charging.
Tehy quote up to 16 AMP with a MPPT how is this possible
We've never got 16amp
Nice video, good and very informative reporting, that's how it should be. Thank you very much, will look into this on our way back from Thargomindah in August. Carl Hervey Bay
Thanks Carl
Show the kitchen drawers
We have another video focusing on the kitchen slide
Great info. Thanks. Assume no mobile reception?
None from memory but we travel with a star link so it's not a big focus and I can't be 100%
Have you had winds blow the awning so much that the side pole lifts and falls over?
We have never had super strong winds in the tent. If there was a questionable forecast I'd put a second rope over each pole but it was never really tested.
Thanks for the video! How careful do you have to be to make sure you don't get mold or mildew on the canvas? Tossing up between this or the lite model but the thought of it being covered in mildew when I next pull it out of the bag kind of puts me off. Any tips here? Cheers
I always check it is dry and put it up when I get home if it has been raining but don't do anything above and beyond that. Sometimes if the ground was damp I work just put the main inside tent up to dry out when I got home.
Thanks for your reply!
Looks beautiful!
It is 🙂
Really helpful! Really good overview of the place! You know what you are realistically getting ahead of time
Thank you 🙏
Well after meeting and spending an enjoyable weekend with the Author (Andrew) in South Australia (Victor Harbour), as they were passing though on their Australia trip, I was pleasantly surprised to find this review whilst searching for opinions and ratings on the XTM Awning. Andrew I will be purchasing an awning based on your review. thanks mate.
Thank you mate. I look forward to seeing you up in QLD 😉
We need to get a video of that amazing Everest 😉
Hey mate, thanks for sharing How much does the RIDGE 4X4 KITCHEN SLIDE - V1 weigh? I have just installed a set of Titan drawers and am considering installing this on the sliding top side of the Titan.
About 37kg so it's not light but I've seen cheaper/lighter ones bow
@real4x4adventures65 thanks. I just test fitted my fridge and unfortunately won't have the height. Maybe on the wish list with a lower profile fridge.
Asume you must get a roof rack
You do need something to mount it to. Doesn't need be a big basket rack or platform racks. Can be just the two slats across the roof (depending on the size rack and application)
Great video. Do you know Roughly how much the tent bag would weigh if you take out the fly, pegs and poles. Single mum here trying to reduce the risk of a back injury stuck in the bush lol
Thank you. I think you'd still be looking at a good 20kg, probably just over. Most of the poles are connected to the tent so it's really the fly, pegs and fly poles you'd be eliminating. The Lite model would be a little lighter. Depending where you live, BCF, tentworld, snowys and anaconda should have them in stock. Pop in and see how it feels. Honestly the most amazing tent if you can manage it. We have loved it.
32kg
Been there many times but loved the reminder, never camped there though but it is a great place to visit fure sure. Thank you
Thanks for watching 🙏
Excellent video, mate. I never knew this old bridge existed. It's the first video I've seen of it.
Thank you 🙏 The sunsets did not disappoint 👌
Cool mate nice pov
Thanks for watching 🙏
I pulled my black wolf out after 10 years not using it, to set up in my backyard before I go camping next weekend. But the middle bit won’t “click” into place! I’ve tried everything. Any ideas how to fix it?
Are all the bends in the poles locked in? Are the corners pegged down?
Algee-buck- nah

Algee- buck- na

Nice review! We've just brought our first four-wheel drive and we've just brought a refrigerator. Small type. Only going away for weekends at the moment. This is on special at the moment for 290 at Repco. Super cheap has something very similar. Little bit cheaper boxing Day sales. It does look bigger than what I expected. Is it too big for just weekends? And can you charge this while driving? Thank you!
Remember you need a battery too. It depends what battery you are looking to put in, what you need to power and how much space (what kind of setup you have). It worked for us before we got a better dual battery setup.
@@real4x4adventures65 Thanks for the reply. I never knew you had to buy a $700 battery to put in it. We normally just camp at powered sites unless it's really busy then forced to use unpowered sites. I used to use a jump pack to run my camp lights etc. on Unpowered sites.
If you're on our instagram or Facebook, send us a message and happy to chat about some options which could be good depending on your needs
Interesting and informative.
Thank you
Great info, but couldn't see the colours.
You'll need to head back out there to see them 😉

They need to ban driving along that beach. Bad for the environment. Banning it will stop these hundreds of Boneheads coming over our bridge every weekend with thier dirty diesel 4WDs.
So you would like all beach driving banned or just at Bribie?
Haha should ban entire shipping industries so no petrol, diesel and goods coming to Australia.

Ridge 4x4
Love the swag. Does this fit a man with his wife? Or only one person?
It's 1400 wide so marginally wider than a double, I've slept in it with the Mrs a few times but we are use to a king at home so was a little cosy
Does it have to be on a flat surface to work? Thanks.
If the car is facing down hill it will not stay open. If you pull it put all the way it will lock at the half way in point
I was thinking for the slide, I can't see it being an issue for the fridge being on an uneven surface
