Hello! My name is Alicia, but you may know me by my Instagram handle, AdventurousAlicia. I am a California-based adventurer who loves to share fitness and travel tips. My goal is to inspire health and curiosity in everyone I meet.
My videos feature my personal travels, wanderings in nature, and the daily beauty that surrounds us.
Some of my favorite places that I have visited include: Iceland, Maui, Paris, London, the Bahamas, Yellowstone National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Yosemite National Park!

Alaska 2021 4K | Part 2: Matanuska | Talkeetna | Sheldon Mountain House | Denali National Park
June 2021 I traveled to Alaska to have the adventure of a lifetime! This is the first half of my trip!
In this second video, we visit the Matanuska Glacier, Talkeetna, and Denali. We took a flightseeing tour and landed in the Alaska range, stayed at the historic Sheldon Mountain House, kayaked in Byers Lake, went whitewater rafting, and saw bears in Denali!
Alaska is full of adventure and wildlife!

Salton Sea and Ladder Canyon Trail Hike, California

The Salton Sea was once a resort destination in Southern California. Today it is a borderline ghost town with a few "artsy" residents. Ladder Canyon Trail is just up the road from the Salton Sea. We went with Nenana Raft Adventures. It was ok. I really wanted to be more involved paddling, but it was still a beautiful area!

1. We’re going to Kenai in two days, and this got me excited. It looks luscious and unspoilt, wild and verdant and primordial. 2. If you turn off the sound on this video and replace it with the album In the Flat Field by Bauhaus, on a big TV and really good speakers, then it’s incongruous but also awesome. (You can turn on the subtitles to still know what’s going on.) 3. I haven’t slept in 26 hours.
The Kenai Peninsula is spectacular. I hope you have the best time! Good luck with sleep in Alaska tho...constantly sunny there!

Awesome is putting it lightly! I really enjoyed this video! I'm curious about the abandoned resort town. Any knowledge of why it's abandoned?
My understanding is that many toxins began flowing into the lake from the nearby farms, and since there is no "outflow" this lake has reached dangerous levels of toxins. Once the resort closed up there wasn't any draw to the lake anymore
