Replace Your Old Thermostat. SAVE MONEY with Honeywell Home
Переглядів 93 тис.3 роки тому
Want to save 10-20% on your energy bill? Replace your old, inefficient thermostats with programmable ones! Tex Harris with LoneStar Home Services (ctlonestar.com) will show you how to replace a mercury thermostat with a modern, programmable, Honeywell Home model.
What model of Honeywell Thermostat is this
Thank you for showing how to replace the thermostat heat at home. You have done great job and I like it
I would definitely not recommend these cover at all..these are good for looks for terrible for winter as it blocks the hot air flow...don't waste your money..just get the metal replacement cover with little more extra $. Save yourself heating cost
Trash.
I like that with timer. Thank you!
My old honey well thermostat , mercury has a wire in a place that is labeled 1 what is it my new one doesn’t hv a 1 on it.👍😃
Thanks! Hubby's working out of state and our thermostat just died! Temps to be in the teens to 40s so I'll be doing this after work.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. I have a question; Can I directly replace my existing Honeywell Thermostat T6069A1008 by Honeywell Thermostat RTH2300B?
How do you process your wood?
As a single mom just trying to make my home a little nicer I really appreciate this video. You explained everything so thoroughly❤
Stupid you are reducing the heat output with those little Holes
Dude what if the air-conditioned won't shut off. Can u shut it off at the breaker box. Safely
Could I replace my old Honeywell CT3200A1019 (1) with the Energate Foundation FZ100C? I do have only a red and a white cable.
Thank you for your video! ❤
mine keep popping off during the winter. Any suggestions how to get them to stay on?
These are ugly
Well-done video! Thanks.
Thank you for this video!!! Helped me so much!!!
You’re suppose to remove the metal panel before you install the covers.
Thanks. Your video is very helpful. I just suggest you to push the small lock bottom of each terminal when you are pushing the wires into their place.
Great video- thanks!
But if I don't want to program
Dude. Thank you for this. I've seen these at Home Depot but never knew they were this easy to install!
What model of Honeywell Thermostat is this?
Very novice. You are forgetting that the wire insertion has a clip that you need to press on the side and then push the wire through that little hole.
Good tip. Thank you. Here’s another… being nice is easy :)
Informative and very clear demonstration! Thank you, & I can’t wait to give the reverse process a try. What a fabulous kitty-I think he should co-star in all your upcoming videos, helping stack, etc.
Would you have to re-light your pilot
Great video Thank you 🎉
I have two wires too for my furnace but the color are white and black
I have two wires one white and the order black it’s this the same setting ? Will my black wire goes to the R on the base board?
hey mines the same, did you put the black in the R hole?
@@lukepostl8942 Yes I did
So mine isnt working
This must absolutely throttle airflow, yes?
but... you put them on the top of the old covers? you didn't ditch the old ones? i am trying to replace (temporarily) my very old and rusty covers in the bathroom....
Interesting, but the shaky camera caused me to cut it short. Makes me dizzy.
I don't like how the new thermostat suddenly appears on the wall. Why not show the mounting?
Fantastic video. Saved me hundreds in paying someone to do it/buying the wrong thermostat. Question for you, the new condo I just bought also has a very old humidistat next to the old thermostat. Would the Honeywell product you showed here be able to replace both the humidistat and the thermostat? Thanks a ton
Thank you very much and we love your UA-cam show!
Thanks!
Our thermostat is extremely old so when I took it off, it did have before wires. However, when I went to go install the new thermostat it’s a touchscreen and I opened it. The wall plate only has two slots, one that says, R the other that says C only the one that says R has a like silver slot. The other one is nothing but a hole that will exit into the wall. I’m assuming? Please give me some direction thanks in advance.
Great Video, well explained, will be doing on my baseboards
I like how he explains how old thermostats work and installing a new one can save you up to 20% on your energy bill.
I think I would have pulled a new thermostat wire, while you don't have central a/c the common wire would be handy to have and nothing wrong with a spare wire or two either.
Hi, great video can you please tell me what the model is of that thermostat I have the same old LR1620 and want to replace the same correct one that you replaced it with. Thanks,
Honeywell Home 5-2 Programmable Thermostat.
@@homeownerhelper thanks but is this the model# Model # YRTH2300B1130/U there are so many models.
RTH6360D
@@homeownerhelper thanks
"All you need is your hands and what ?
A pair of tin snips.
Hello.. thanks for your vidéo we still use our Old heater.i would like you to help me to know something of it..of course if it doesn't bother you :) Thank you
Really wish this stuff was more affordable. Last quote (materials only) was still $20 per foot. It's actually higher because joiners, corners, and end caps are outrageous. A smalI-ish 3 bedroom can have 100 ft, so your looking at over 2k for a cosmetic upgrade. That's if you do it all yourself. If you are doing remove/install anyway, sand the old ones and paint them and put them back.
Thank you so much!
Love the video. Thank you!!!!
Thanks brother good job
I'm an Intrepid owner... and I will be trying this new-to-me method in the morning. Thanks so much.
Best of luck!
@@homeownerhelper Got it going this morning... and once it got hot.. it went a good 2 hours without me having to add more logs. Very impressed. thanks
