@@luibar7768 this specific tank is a puffer tank and they prefer still water. I did not know that corys like the wave makers though so thank for that advice. I also run sponge filters in all my tanks and so far couple years in no issues with them.

@@ytfx-comsbongo8247 yes in fact they do eat the bloodworms not so much when they are real small but after a few weeks they go to town

@@UGESHM-tj1xf you know that makes sense I think the longest they have lived was a month but they always had problems

@@tonycagle3971 unfortunately the babies never lived long and now I don’t have the halfbeaks anymore sadly. Some day I may set up a new tank just for them.

Most likely because there are so many fish in the tanks it’s hard to keep up on sometimes but still good for the fish 👍

That’s good to know. I have never seen these guys do much activity that would come close to that. I just assume ones male and ones female do to one has bristles almost like a beard and the other doesn’t.

@@littsoutdoors0102 yeah, males have like little brushes on their cheeks and the females don’t. Having little tubes for caves might spur them into breeding, but the eggs are very difficult to raise. Good luck mate 🤞🏻👍🏻

Thank you and I have never been an Angel fish guy myself either. I love them in other peoples tanks but then after seeing the platinum I had to get one. Plus my mother in law got one for the tank haha

I have very similar issues although I have never paid any attention to the water temp changes when the moss dies. But same here once the moss turns brown there’s no comin back lol we will figure this plant out someday

That is actually a guppy not a beta, but I had the guppies in there as it was a community tank
