As a person struggling with an eating disorder I absolutely understood that certain behaviors just get normal to you. A statement like Baekhyuns usually seems unusual to me and isn't immediately met with a "omg that's so horribe" reaction but rather a "that's true😅". But I do know that it's not good and that it's not okay to treat this like a normal thing because it might promote to others. But I know this because the people in my life are letting me know that it's not normal. But for an idol that basically grew up in an environment where the people around you are most likely to promote this kind of behavior, where it is probably even expected from you to diet and skip meals, this is just a learned everyday behavior. It's normal that his first reaction to this question is like this. Doesn't mean he necessarily wants to promote it or isn't aware that it's not a healthy thing. But please just have some understanding. I think its important to treat this as careful as possible. And I also think people need to reevaluate their own behavior when it comes to idols gaining a bit of weight. The comments under videos and pictures of idols looking like they might have gained weight are equally horribe and promote dieting culture in the worst way possible

Byun Baekhyun is one of the realist idols out there, he is so transparent with his fans. This really isn't the worst comment an idol has said. Because he IS one of the most popular K-pop idols to date, one of the most popular members of EXO and being the CEO of his own company now. If it were anyone else it wouldn't have blown up the way it has. I admire Baekhyun but I do not take to heart everything he says or does, I don't have delusions of grandeur, yes he is a human being first. I appreciate his artistry, his live, power, soulful vocals, his dancing, his business prowess. And I am so proud that he is the CEO of his own company INB100. To me it's the same way idols would get vilified for being caught smoking or getting tattoos. Just leave these people alone, they are human beings not god like figures that should be worshipped and can do no wrong. I think some fans need to focus on their own lives.

the reality of the kpop industry is genualy grim specialy in referance to dieting. this is not the worst comments of idols i've seen. i really don't think he meant harm and it's super common for idols to say how they diet but from kpop becominhg more global and having such a young audience theyll have to see watch what they say. but yes this is a waaay deeper problem, this is just a simptom of a way bigger illnes.

This person wants to show how he limits himself in food to stay in shape, but I had to see his videos where he ate a lot of meat and different dishes with a good appetite. I never cease to be amazed at the hypocrisy of this person, he has a bad reputation among idols for a long time and it is unlikely to improve.

Tickets for all three shows sold out in under an hour. BTS is the biggest artist that ever came out of Korea. Your commentary shows you haven't got ANY clue about the phenomenon BTS is. Whenever they perform as a group or solo - it's not some "k-pop concert".

Wendy informed SM more than a month ago that she would not attend. SM didn't notify the fans until 3 days before the event. Probably to sell more tickets. SM have a history of bad management with their artist.

China might be ab bigger market, but Kpop is higher reach anyway (including China) she still has the most brand deals in china than anyone being a Kpop artist, also she stays with her friends (which after all those years would be basically sisters) without sacrificing sounding in China anyway

(G)I-DLE has a unique level of creative freedom among girl groups, they write almost all their own music and come up with their own concepts. They also produce a majority of their companies money, which means they probably got a very good deal out of it. Yuqi doesn't lose all that much as far as i can tell because even being based in Korea she is still super huge in China, she also does regularly travel to China to guest star on one of China's biggest tv shows. Plus she trusts her team to get here there, since they got her where she is and are probably going to continue to grow
