The Creative Nātives Collective is a true collaboration of high-performing musicians from across Aotearoa and the Pacific, who have quickly established their credentials as a tight unit.
Since their inception in February 2022, the Collective have produced three live visual albums including: Kaupapa Anthems LIVE - honouring the groundbreakers of Kaupapa music from the 80’s & 90’s Rongo Toa LIVE - a selection of popular Māori Battalion anthems Pīata Mai Matariki - a celebration of the nine stars of Matariki performed at significant kaupapa Māori events including: Te Rā o Waitangi, Te Maiororo o Rangiriri (Rangiriri Trench Opening), the Waiata Reo Māori Showcase, #HikoiTo100 Festival, the official launch of Matariki Celebrations at Te Papa and the Investiture of Bom Gillies - the last surviving member of the Māori Battalion.
