@@jimjom524 I had a companion with me in the capacity of carer as queue Pass at Flamingo Land requires this and I do need a carer companion at times anyway to keep me on track.

Also there is people using the rap each day hence why it's being sold out lol. Rap queues are designed to keep physical queuing to min. Which means capping it!

Also rap users shouldn't say have to travel 3 4 hours to get on park then find all the rap queues are too long. Or picking a couple that's not too bad. Thats how its been the last few years! 1000s and 1000s mossed put completely these last few years. That's not how it's designed to work. People who loved it before and are now moaning are now using the I'm disabled I'm entitled to what I want wen I want it.

However nobody can know every angle and detail of access with regard to disability as I am sure you will agree and whilst it does work for you, I contest it doesn't work for most, and have given my reasons to Merlin, at the end of the day it's up to them to either admit or deny, but I assure you they are in breach of the law in many areas that I may go into more detail later, however I fight with my daughter's interests at heart above my own. Thanks for taking the time to comment and watch the video and I do appreciate hearing alternative views. @@MagicalAttractionDays I would suggest your wrong. Statistically the majority or RAP users are due to mental and behavioural disability (ASD/Adhd) and under the old system they couldn’t visit. Ever. As you couldn’t take the risk of the RAP queues being far too long (as they typically were) Every single parent with children who legitimately cannot queue far prefer the new system to old. For the first time. Ever. My boy could attend all 4 major parks this year.

Since Prebooking has become involved I don't see many of my friends anymore at parks either because we are all restricted used to bump into many people I knew at parks even just for a quick chat at times. Normal GP with passes can do that but we can't

@@bluexvxrc6827 thanks for your comment. I understand what you are saying and this is where Merlin needs to reconsult and in the meantime role back the rules. They should make it +1 maybe with a degree of latitude for genuine cases like you, sorry to hear, but one of the things I have seen is like the example I have used in my meeting with Merlin that a family of five had three rap passes and thought it ok for seven to join them to use all availability in the slots, and it's that kind of thing I am trying to draw to their attention. When they told me the percentage of people booking and not turning up was shocking too, but I cannot disclose that. Basically it's not fair or lawful how it's working and none of us are winning in this. I will point out that they read the comments, therefore rest assured your situation has been noted. Long story short they should uncap the numbers as many people after COVID stayed in country and now they are all going elsewhere and this was a partial cause of rap being over subscribed. I hope they come to their senses because I have to decide at which point I get the media involved in covering a story on my claim.

So you don't need to be accompanied if you are a yellow RAP user. You can email the accessibility support. And you can request to be put from red to yellow. Yellow means you can ride rides by yourself. Red means they dont. But if they don't need help evacuating from ride and would be able to unassisted then you can get yellow RAP

@@jimjom524 This is true and good information you share for others that might read this, however the issue blocking access is not red or yellow allocations, but when you book, it provides the ability to book up to three additional riders regardless of whether you are yellow or red and quite a majority of people are maxing out this allocation to bring their friends or extended family who are using it as a fast track for the family, but each unnecessary place takes one place away from someone with a disability and this is not lawful and Merlin are aware.

@@MagicalAttractionDays so you think by them lowering the group size for rap they would let more than one group from rap line in per when they let rap line in if group size was lowered as they only let one disabled group in at a time. I dont see the point splitting families up and other reasons. It is what it is go on weekdays

@@bluexvxrc6827 I went on Oblivion towards the end. Becky my ride buddy for the day had her hands in the air going over the drop! What was shocking about the tree tops abuse of rap was that the user had a red rap and was placed in a different car to their carer, I didn't explain it properly but abuse of rap takes away any good will ride hosts have towards the rest of us. I did not look in the nemesis bunker shop, but if I remember I'll be happy to have a look next time as I will be going again soon and will be there for scarefest. Also potentially coming up soon will be a video doing an experiment of going without RAP and using the Q Pass system for parent swap and going on the waiting list for RAP as this will allow us to attend at last minute by checking the weather before we go as when the rides are all available the main queues can be lower than what RAP queues were last year, however I realise this is not for everyone as it is not a wheelchair friendly way of doing things, this is only for ambulant disabled. Not sure about the scare mazes yet as I wanted to purchase the passholder package, but it seems you have to cram all the mazes in at the start of the evening in one go and you have a short amount of time to do it which is not disability or accessible friendly so I will play that one by ear and see how I feel. One point to note is that I understand RAP users will be able to use the accessible entrance to scare mazes with no rap booking, but I will check this closer to the time. The upcoming video you described will be interesting to watch as that’s new to me all together, missis don’t need wheelchair entrances she’s ok that way. The illness has left her weak no stamina it’s all the walking and standing around that takes it out of her. As much info on scarfest would be amazing as all the other videos are all carbon copy’s of them park worldwide lol. There is one thing I’ve never noticed on any other videos. Is the short cut through the gardens from forbidden valley to dark forest. We stayed away from the gardens in case we got lost. Am from darbyshire and went a few times on school trips but 1st time we got lost in the gardens, after that I’ve never been down the gardens lol.

@@bluexvxrc6827 thanks for the kind comments. I am sorry to hear how bad this was for you. Rap currently is a bit of a free for all and it's constantly booked up on school holidays and weekends and unless booked well in advance nobody stands a chance. I visited again recently after many months and did a vlog, it's on the channel and it wasn't a good look for the park. I will do another vlog soon and see if things are any better. Merlin have got this so wrong and are unfairly discriminating against rap users when the problem with queues is down to operations management of the park. I hope they improve operations and I hope you get some stress free visits in the future.
