Thank you for thsi video! Im a recent stay at home mum and think tutoring would be a goos job for me to do in the evenings around child care. However I graduated in 2014 so have been out of education for a long time and I have no experience tutoring. I've been working in office roles since graduating However this is something that I think I can do (at one point i was thinking of training as a teacher). My degree is in Psychology and I have A grades at A levels Psychology and Sociology. I also have good grades in English, English lit, History and child development at GCSE. Unfortunately I dont have any friends or family at school age to practice on. I'm a little bit nervous! Are all the resources online free? How long does it take to learn a topic for a client? Any advice for me?

something thats not specified is that elearning is personal time you have to take IN ADDITION TO the certification times that are listed for the client. Also, the client I was with (not sure if they are all this way), only paid tice a month, & once we started nesting and began invoicing we wouldn't receive any pay until 1 month later. A lot of the information provided was again, not specified or really misleading. I signed up for a major pharmaceutical company, but I'm also in school, and have a kid. I was aware the certification was from 10am-3pm Mon-Fri, but NOWHERE do they tell you, you ALSO have to do a bunch of studying and some exams on top of that, until you're in the certification class. Another point nobody makes, is that we agree to this, sure, but some states actually find it illegal for "clients" to REQUIRE training like this in order to work for them AND not pay you, because you're an "independent contractor", though them requiring all this training can be considered as the company treating you like an EMPLOYEE. just for no pay, so they use the excuse of "independent contractor". Last point against this, because it may not work for everybody and everyone who wants to try this should be well informed; not every company has every time available that would work for you. Yeah you can pick your own hours, but the client might not have the hours available that you NEED. The client lists what hours & days they are open, but that doesn't mean you'll be able to schedule your commits in those hours. The client I signed up for was open 8am-8pm Mon-Fri, so I was going to try to work while my son was in school. When they got to showing us the shiftboard, they only had hours available for noon-8pm, which would not work for me, once my kid is home, as only working 2 hours a day would not even allow me to meet the minimum hours expected weekly by the client. Needless to say, I dropped out and found myself another temp remote part time job that actually pays weekly and pays for the training as well.

Wow, LiveOps has really changed A LOT since I worked for them years ago. Back then, as a new agent, you weren’t assigned to any particular company, but there was a HUGE list of companies, (literally, hundreds), and in theory, you could receive a call for any of those products during a shift, and you wouldn’t know which company it was going to be until the call came in, and the script popped up on your screen. I absolutely hated that. So for instance, I may have a call where someone wants to order cookware, then the next call could be for a skin cream that you’ve never heard of, with made-up names that you aren’t sure how to pronounce, which could result in you appearing unfamiliar with the product (because you were). I also hated the fact that they required you to do so many rebuttals. When someone’s calling in to order a product, I can see maybe offering them *one* additional product, but even if the customer tells you “no”, you were still required to rebut them 3 times. As a customer, that would be very frustrating to me, and I’d probably think twice about ordering from the company again. I’m glad to see that things have changed for the better.

So much has changed since you made this video. You can get a lot more information before signing up for a client, called an opportunity. I hope that you will either update this, or make a note that things have changed.

If you sign up to work an hour and only talk 30 minutes, do you still get paid for the whole hour?

For what it’s worth, my video just got rejected by Cambly because they don’t want an edited video :( they also don’t accept portrait mode at all anymore.
