I can't help but wonder the requests into the costume department were like. "Yeah, we're going to need to request a Shark suit". "Oh sure, we have plenty, anything else?" "Yeah, do you have a toaster suit as well?"
What made this show so good was you quickly realised just how rubbish a lot of TV is nowadays, especially soaps, dramas and those so-called "reality" programmes.
Genuinely think this is one of *the* defining shows in British television history. Just so brutally funny, virtually everyone in the family would laugh their heads off over TV Burp each week.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plains?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
Whats speacial with TV Burp Gold is his connections with the British media so he has access to the cast and locations which make the jokes 10x funnier. Such a rare show
Saw this being filmed at Teddington Studios back in the day. It was a day when TV had stuff on that you actually wanted to watch and which included stuff that was funny. A time long since gone.
Has anyone noticed the amount of annoying people has massively increased in recent years ? It’s as if people are too scared to tell them how annoying they are. Maybe I’m being annoying by pointing it out…
British comedy was so good in the 90's early 2000's. Not remotely funny now.
What we also need on UA-cam is a best of You've Been Framed with Harry's voice overs. They were incredibly funny.
13:02 😂

Years later, I still quote "you got another game?" at least once a week.
The 'Focke' joke never ages.

Loved this show!! Wish it would come back.
When a TV concept and the perfect host come together.
No milk first.
Today we are forced to watch woke trash full of anti white racists race hustlers and rainbow types targeting children and much more trash.
Absolutely hilarious! I haven't watched TV since about 2008 or so, this seems to be a little after that.
Made me laugh out loud. Not much does these days.
