@@W_R_EQUESTRIAN aww that's well screwed up aye, I found out a couple of months ago that my Aunty & my nephew sell race horses in Ireland once they're bred trained fed well & apparently they're part of a world wide company, my nephew even rode in front of the queen when she was alive so I'm proud of that for sure

@@W_R_EQUESTRIANI have a question, not sure if you can help but my 18 year old stockhorse mare has an older hamstring injury that we didn’t really know about. People at my Pony club believe that she got it over winter and now that we ride her more than we did in winter we are noticing it more. Would you have any suggestions to what I could do to help

@Tilly-k7k hi there. Gosh I am sorry to hear. Look I am not a vet or can give veterinary advice. All I can suggest is calling your vet and local horse body worker to check the horse put professional before rising it again and getting it assessed

Also I was watching some older videos of your like showing tutorials for plaiting and marker combs and all that, cause I thought it’d be good to practice while she’s hurt, anyways it has really helped and I’m starting to get a lot better at it🫶Thankyou

@Tilly-k7k ok that's great to hear you've called the professional, I'm glad to hear that. They'll be the best to help. You have to put your horses health first no matter the expense. It's the right thing to do. And oh that's just wonderful to hear! I so glad to hear the tutorials I made are helping. Before you know it you'll be a wiz at show presentation. You could even offer to do it as a service at events you go to, to make a bit of extra $$$

But oh gosh the WIND! it was hectic, I felt so sorry and sad for the riders who's horses spooked because of the weather conditions. But it happens unfortunately. You'll enjoy watching the replay, it all ran like clock work. Hearing Vicki Lawrie talk was a thrill also. Yes I saw Wynara Signature work out, what a beautiful horse. The achievements he's accomplished in the show ring is amazing 👏 hahaha yes very true "allegedly"... gosh that's going to be so sad when more details are made public as the case goes on 😬😬😬

@Infelicity.VA4 yes it sure was. But that's life unfortunately when it comes to the weather being unpredictable sometimes. Jess is an amazing rider! Watching her last year with Bling was mesmerising. She's a really hard working equestrian and deserves all the success she receives. The history behind all the clothing and saddlery is just fascinating in the Garryowen.

No not all of them go to the slaughter house... it's bad people that send them there. No one in there right mind would do such a thing

​@W_R_EQUESTRIAN in the US, they send them to the auction, and from there they often go to slaughterhouses in Canada or Mexico. The reason being that unless they are picked up by a rescue or someone wanting to train an OTTB, they are worth their price per pound. They are essentially untrained, sometimes injured or with chronic conditions related to being raced early in life. Sometimes they are used as broodmares or even studs, and if they don't do well, *then* they are taken to auction. I'm sure you are familiar with these things but I just want to back up what this person is saying. No, they don't get taken directly to a slaughterhouse, but they still end up there. The Kentucky Derby winner Ferdinand stood at stud in Japan, then he ended up on a dinner plate there.
