right on thanks I'm an old man too, and I dig it.
Well done guy! The d46s sounds amazing!
Thanks. Great lesson. I like some of the hammer ons you are using on the chords.
Solid work! Thanks for sharing it with the world.
sweet bro.. i hope you are still playing and singing..
Some brilliant embellishments, thanks for sharing these, you are a great teacher buddy 🙂
Great job. Love the slide bit. 🍺
This is sooooo great thank you.
Good job youngman !! I'm happy to see that great skynyrd tune has passed down. You play it about the same as my buddy's and I did when it first came out.
Dude I've learned a lot from watching your video and I'm 61 years old. Thanks for your contribution!
Very nice cover by you sir. I enjoyed it. I love that guitar also. Do you still own it and has it aged well?
First chord is A major. Not minor .
perfect!!!
Finally someone found the correct chord mods
Love the slide lick
Nice job. Have you done anything by Chris Middleton? Specifically, devil named music.
Nice job!
He plays it with an open A power chord, B and E strings muted. inversion of Cmaj (open C shape with a G note on the thickest E string) and then he slides up into an inversion of D sus (slide the whole thing up two frets) he also plays the D sus chord in open position, which is why the F# note doesn't sound correct. There's a live version that shows how he plays it, just watch him. Then the second guitar is played in an open tuning with a capo and a slide. I watched the live videos of him playing it and figured it out. You can play it Amin, Cmaj and Dmajor, but that's not how he plays it. Using the A power chord in this style of music is very common, E major isn't diatonic to A minor, neither is D sus. They're in the A major key. E minor and D minor are diatonic to A minor/Cmajor.
Nobody asked
I asked, actually..I’ve been trying to figure out the theory behind this song since I’m charting it out. A and Am both sounded correct without the 3rd, so it makes sense that he plays a power chord!
And ou yea, that D sus is it! Thank you so much
Nicely explained I never tried this song before... It puts you in another state of mind. Beautiful... And you sang it well Great Job 👍 I'm gonna give it a try after my coffee here this morning. Thanks Brother 🤘👊
Hey Brother, nicely done. The way that you layed this out was perfect. Thanks from B.C.'s west coast

Great job mate.
This is really little gem of a video. Thanks
What is the string picking pattern that you use? Excellent job on this song!
Mrgheck no specific pattern just a little picking and a little strumming.
Most excellent. Thanks!

Wow , I like so much your style :)
Good job and nice tones from the Washburn. I'm giving this exact guitar to my buddy today who helped me up in Lake Tahoe. I think he will like it very much!
