This channel is about finding the fun in today’s overly commercialised and mostly cynical gaming environment, in new or older titles. It is for gamers looking to get the most out of their free time and enjoy the hobby of gaming again. I do game reviews/overviews with topical discussions. I try answer simply what games are worth your time and why. The aim is to share great content with each other so we can all make the most of our love for gaming.
Chernobylite Review - a stroll through the zone.
Chernobylite is a survival, story rich game developed by the Polish based The Farm 51 which turns out to be an atmospheric story driven single player experience. There are some good stuff here but it makes you wish the systems went a little deeper.

Cyberpunk 2077 is still a fail in 2022!
Переглядів 245Рік тому
Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red, released in December 2020 amidst much hype but proved to be an unfinished mess. Playing it now in its "finished" form has not changed my perception on how disappointingly shallow this game turned out to be.

Nice to see a fellow south african enjoying stalker games
Dido
At 5:10 I notice many keys in your inventory. The general stores can sell you a key ring. it is nice because you can keep all of your keys on the one key ring to save space (and to help not lose keys) :) Also Arcanum has a wiki that can be helpful.
I pissed off the military early game and now they just kill me on sight. This game is hard
Thanks🗣️
You might wanna bind bandage and medkit to your mouse thumb buttons, it's very handy to just click them mid-combat rather than running to cover, opening inventory and right clicking on medkit/bandage.
Playing this game on console rn pretty fun gonna play them all and then wait for 2 to release thx for the tips amigo!🎉
One trick for levelling is that you gain exp for each kill but also for each successful attack. Using a fast, low damage dagger (Fine Steel Dagger or Dagger of Speed) will give you more experience per kill. Staffs that damage fatigue are also an option as you can knock an opponent unconscious then slowly beat them to death getting more experience. Reference force attacking an object like a locked door or chest some weapons are better than others as they're less likely to be damaged in the process. Axes are a good choice but throwing weapons like boomerangs or chakrams will never be damaged unless you have a critical fail. As some others in the comments have mentioned you can use F5 to back off your companions so they don't damage their weapons when they help you. If you aren't using one of the fan patches Molotov Cocktails cost no action points in turn based combat. In addition to damage they also do knock back so they can be useful if you're doing a ranged build that doesn't want the enemy to get close. Just be aware you'll need a few points into throwing to really benefit from them and at least neutral on the Magic/Tech spectrum. Too many magic spells and they'll start critically failing.
Thanks for the video man. I find content like this hard to find and stalker released on console about a month ago.
How do ya transfer items? I heard ya have to pause the game at the perfect time. Not sure if ya can do that in the EE version. Thanks
Nice bro
Wish the first guy would have told you about the storage keep selling snipers as new armour weighs more but hold on until im constantly over weight, even with my endurance being over 150
You can repair armor using a technique that some call "Zone witchcraft." It's where you wear four or five Pellicles, Batteries, or Shells, then stand in a Fruit Punch, Electro, or Burner/campfire (respectively). Pellicles are the easiest to acquire because you can earn an unlimited supply of them from Professor Sakharov in Yantar by doing some of his repeatable missions. 2:10 This is a rare example of a game that lets you aim the GP-25 using its quadrant sight. To test your accuracy and reflexes, try blasting super long-jumping "man-eating" snorks out of the air with 40-mils for sport.
Just started on Xbox and man y’all have been holding out ngl
FINALLY ON XBOX
Currently finishing dying light and then I wanna go for this game for the first time ever
Ha ! Crazy I saw this comment. I’m playing dying light platinum edition on my switch now, still on the first few story quest cause I get so distracted. Feeling like this dying light playthru is gonna takes 100’s of hours plus the following dlc. And I’m sitting here wanting to pick up stalker for Xbox too 😬
@@tilldeathvisuals1646 lol! Im currently running through stalker ! Definitely recommend it! Can't bekiece what was back in 2007. I had the platinum edition as well, I have like 40 hours on it with even finsihed the dlc. Was thinking about purchasing the switch, is it really good? Enjoyable to play Games on?
Great tips. I just started playing. Should I hold onto gems as I come across them for later or just sell as soon as I can?
Why are you playing on the uglier DX8 "Static Lighting" mode? Did you not even notice the setting, or is your PC seriously too weak to run a DirectX9 dynamic lighting effects?
the game has a lot of issues and crashes with Dynamic Lighting enabled, I guess that's why
In some cases using dynamic lighting will make your game unlaunchable. Try not to be so demeaning in the way you comment unless you know what you're talking about.
@@pud3143 if you find that "demeaning" you must have a very hard time on the internet these days my man
Damn that crouch thing really is helpfull
I dont know how i missed this gem of a game all this years
I would like you to explain that to me as well. For many, many years, STALKER was essentially THE PC exclusive masterpiece people raved about. It was also a massive, HUGE phenomena, especially in the Europe; there was STALKER festivals, Larps, tons of merchandize, and an entire TV series being planned even. Not to mention the series single handed inspired the entire "survival shooter" subgenre, everything from DayZ to Metro. Yet it still manages to have its very own, unique identity, that no copycap has managed to recapture.
@@GugureSuxand now it’s on console, lol
I just got it on my Xbox the bundle I’m on the first one it’s fantastic!!! Fuck fallout lol 😂
I usely play a leader mage that let his folowers do the fighting. only need the spells Harm, teleport, and resurect and the folowers will do all the rest.
Unfornutaley the game is broken. I started as a mercenary, went to Feng, refused to kill the guy and then went to imperial guard. After completing several missions I was sent to another city. I could not even stay in the first city. It was forced. So far so good. I fought in the arena, helped the ambushed trader and went to the imperial station for more tasks. Then I was sent to protect some pass. The battle began and I found out that it was unwinable since everyone did huge damage and I still only had far inferior equipment. Then I found out a walkthrough where the guy had like 30 more skillpoints at that time he faced the same enemy at the pass. So broken.
Класс игра!
Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame! I knew all this stuff 30 years ago!
1:49 While using iron sights or scopes, you gain no additional accuracy while crouched, instead you get better accuracy than if you would've crouched and low crouched combined, even while standing. There's also no added inaccuracy if you move or turn very fast while aiming.
Nice review, mate. I've been considering getting this game for a long time.
Here are the things I remapped: Tab - Inventory Shift - Sprint Ctrl - Always crouch Alt - Low crouch Z - Quick bandage X - Quick Medkit Num 0 (Numpad 0) - Save Num Enter (Numpad Enter) - Load If you think my mapping of buttons are bad or in need of additions you are free to reply.
I use the following: I - Inventory, I got really used to this playing stalker, but in Fallout 3 and New Vegas I use Tab Shift - Sprint LCtrl - Crouch X - Low crouch I don't use quick bandage or medkit, pussy keybinds Middle mouse button - Next firing mode Rest are default keybinds.

Helped a lot thanks!
Its freedom not military we all make mistakes
Equipping artefacts can increase stamina; reduce effects of radiation; improve healing etc. Choose and wear them wisely.
I have 3 sparklers. One soul and one meat chunk (or whatever the name was)💀
Exactly, pick artifacts that have good bonuses and also ones that negate the negatives of others.
Thank you
Graphically looks 2004-2008, so does the gameplay. Retro and dated even in 2012. I got gothic amd Pretorians (rts) vibes because how dated it felt. Its still fantastic, just jank.combat as tedium and struggle to find adjusters for batrle speed ,Lore wise its pretty intresting. Reminds of kenshi or alot closer to vagrus (same setting but more dnd )in the world building This no doubt a obsecure
It certainly is difficult to place and that is what I like, pretty unique.
cheers man, not played much of this (19 hours about 2 years ago) and thinking of loading it back up for a longer playthrough, as usual, I've written down the key tips in my physical gaming journal to have a quick reference (I should publish it one day as its getting pretty extensive for multiple games...maybe it will be found by an archaeologist after an apocalypse :D ).
😆
Just started my first ever play of the game. its amazing! literally like a single player Tarkov
STALKER is literally what inspired shit like Tarkov and DayZ in the first place. Yet unlike those two flat grindan-shooters, STALKER has an actual campaign, with some true objectives and delightfully light "survival" aspects.
@@GugureSux right on. i like all 3 games.
@@GugureSuxtarkov isn’t meant to have a campaign it’s an extraction shooter and dayz is also not meant to have a campaign
Just downloaded it for the first time in years. Been that long I can't remember the story.
Have fun!
Best Medieval game ever made
King's inactivity. HHmmmmmm. I think I have seen someone like that before. I mean a bit more recently but I just can't put my motorcycle, ppppp----you know----FAT! I now keep like 5 potions on me all the time when I stop for "Pilgrims" and it definitely helps for those interactions. I learned after the first time I ended up finding several thousands of dollars of gear.
I'm lucky enough to be one of those that bought the box and still have the original manual that has lore and deep dives into the history and races and how they came to be. There is a reason why the world hates half orcs and half ogres haha. Such a gem of a game. I want to re buy it on steam, does it still run okay on modern machines?
Get in on GOG, runs fine on modern hardware.
This is what introduced me to far cry! None has gave me the same experience since 😢
love the review. big fan of the book and miniseries. I'm hoping this goes into more of the story elements left on the cutting room floor during the creation of the show. point and click adventures are a lost art.
STALKER: Prowler of Africa 👌🏻
😄
My tip for lock picking on PC is to dramatically lower your mouses DPS while in the minigame. Makes it a breeze, cheers and happy gaming all
It's not just the best in the series (although Blood Dragon comes close), it's one of the best survival/shooters out there.
when it came out I loved it. and eary this year I also replayed it and still love this game. I do recommend "tom's chill + mod" for graphic/texture enhanced with less malaria/weapon degradation. . but still the game is amazing. great graphics for the age, great music, great stealth, great bases to infiltrate and no levelling, enemy health bars/markers, and rpg nonsense.
my favorite game of all time
I subbed your channel a nice video
Welcome to the channel.
One of my all time favorite games
See why this video doesn't have very many views
Nice review, I subscribed! I also love KCD and I can't wait for a sequel! (PS: I think the intro is too long, it would be fine if its a short movie with clips from the game, but this is just the beginning of the game)
Noted...
I just bought it a week ago and love it. All other games are on hold until I'm done. Almost wanted to give up during the prologue, but so glad I persevered. It seems 50 times picking the lock at Talmberg to get the escape Armour was the charm. Just a great game all around.
Glad you are experiencing it for yourself. Switch to kbm for lockpicking if you have the option.
I got caught, got thrown in jail then they threw me out of talmberg lmaoo 10/10 will do again.
@@fiftydabs5114 😂
I bought the game 2 years ago and didn't get out of the prologue. A couple weeks ago I finally got out and now I'm hooked. Even managed to snag all the dlc during the fall sale for less than 20 bucks.
@@SteefPip This game will do that to you. Enjoy.
Hey thanks for your video , i'm playing BG 1 EE and i want to buy BG2EE , how can i import my companions please ? (the one precreated by the game and the one given in game like imoen etc)
Unfortunately only your main character will import but you will meet most of the companions in game (there is some interesting story developments around Imoen in BG2).
