​My name is Vanita this is our story.....

For many years we have loved the great outdoors and always try to take the opportunity to get outside even during the winter months.

Vanita's story: I have been gardening since I was 5 years old and have always enjoyed working in my garden, most often times I would get up super early just to work in my garden before work. I am a recent breast cancer survivor and recently retired to be able to pursue may passion of gardening ​

Elmer's Story: I have always loved being outdoors from the time I was a kid up until now. Over the course of my life I have developed skills from being outside and from early on in my adult life experiencing homelessness. Recently I made a career change to security from 20 years in maintenance which enable me to pursue my hobbies. Those hobbies are ham radio, storm spotting, railfanning, and outdoor activities such as archery, hunting, fishing, gardening and disaster preparedness. ​
