HO scale Walthers PRR 1953 Broadway Limited pulled by BLI T1 steam locomotive
A bittersweet what if: the Pennsylvania Railroad had kept the T1 steam engines in service into the mid 50s on their flagship trains, as the legendary 4-4-4-4 duplex looks right at home pulling the 1953 version of the Broadway Limited on the @orlando@ORLANDOSOCIETYOFMODELRRCLUB layout . the locomotive is from @BroadwayLtdTrains and is a Paragon 2 model upgraded to Paragon 4. the passenger cars are all from @WalthersModelTrains .

That’s great! Which TCS decoder? Which SSnds speaker? How do you make the whistle rise and fall (quill)? Thanks.
👍!! !💚💚💚
Incredible shots of an incredible train on an incredible layout!
Cool camera shots! A great train on a great layout!
Thank you very much!
this is very scare, my cat is sad
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Totally awesome models!
good
1:59 somones been a bad boi
Cool video and channel just subscribed
I really love watching your long freight with so many 40' boxcars. I am jealous because I just don't have the room to do this. You guys are so blessed.
Thank you. It’s a great club. I’m very lucky to have a place like that to run
What exact model of the sound decoder is this? Numbers or model no please thanks you. Totally awesome 👏
Awesome video of that HIghHood cruising around your layout, really cool! Happy Sunday! -Ken
Yes Buffalo Creek & Gauley 3 chime
What speakers did you use on this model?
The freight set alone is the best!
Cool Mogul triple header! I love the parade here!
Yet another Mogul freight set! Thanks a lot.
I love this doubleheader! What an awesome imaginable Mogul team.
That first low level scene is very dramatic and realistic. Ask them to let you put the N&W style Western Union metal wire hangers up on the top of the utility poles to make it more believable! 😃
where can i get this?
Nice layout. I really liked the prototypical whistle signals. Whoooo-oooo, whoooo-ooo!
How difficult was it to replace the bli sound with tcs?
I bought the locomotive with it already done. I just sent it out for a speaker upgrade.
Good job on your street level camera angle from 0:01 thru 0:43! Made the train look large and impressive; especially the E-unit lashup ;-)
Twenty-eight cars is a good long train. By the Sixties the secondary trains (Everglades, Gulf Coast Special) were heavy with head-end equipment, but less likely to see much variety in passenger cars. Coaches, yes, and a combine, sometimes sleepers and a diner. Not unusual to see piggybacks stuck on the rear.
Some rocking and wobbling through the crossings.
This is why people love trains
Do you still have the QSI decoder for that locomotive?
I might? I'd have to ask the guy who did the install. I probably told him to ditch it since the reason I replaced it is because it wasn't working reliably.
@@tjh8402 Hmm. I wouldn't worry too much about it in that case. I was thinking if It was still good, I would see what you'd take for it, but if you were having issues, then just let it go. Besides, after seeing your more recent videos, I'm thinking about getting Tsunami for when my QSI decoder dies. That's possibly the best sounding whistle I've heard on a J.
Really nice, I've subscribed to your channel
thank you! I appreciate the subscription and glad to hear you're enjoying the content
Cool model of me
heh
Heeh
That sound is amazing! What is it!?!?!
What sound unit are you running? Is it dcc or anolog?
it is a Zimo DCC sound decoder and visaton speaker
@@tjh8402 where can i purchase it? Is it pricy? Is it easy to install?
@@r.c.r.rproductions8462 pricing depends on how much DCC equipment you already have. I already had a digitrax command station and controller which saved me $. I had to buy the decoders and Zimo programmer. I think each decoder was like $250. don't recall the price of the programmer or speaker. I also had a friend do the install for me which saved money. it is complicated, but the support is pretty good if you are somewhat technically inclined. Call Train Line. This is their website. They are the distributor and extremely nice and helpful. www.trainli.com/
My fav is the Rio Grande 3 chime
Same here
Hey great video! The first 3 chime whistle in the video is mine and it's a Lunkenheimer 5" 3 chime.
there is two airworthy b-29s now, Fifi and Doc
There are
Why did Norfolk Southern allow open windows and vestibules then but not now? Some of the coaches even had openable windows in this video. They looked like ex-N&W smoothside coaches but they had the windows open. I guess NS is stricter about safety now than in the old program so no open windows or dutch doors. I'm riding behind 611 for the first time this June 4 from Manassas, VA.
I didn't know that there were any operational B-29s left. I guess I was wrong. You learn something new everyday.
+Ryan Shipp yup she's gonna be back in Florida again this year. Can't wait to see her at the TICO airshow! I actually got to fly on her at Sun n Fun a year or two before this. The video is on my channel. There should hopefully be a second B-29, "Doc", up and flying this year.
Our sons, my wife and I rode and chased the Suwannee Steam Special for several years and this video is just a great one to find. We lived in Valdosta then, and had to get up awfully early to board in Jacksonville.
+KD5XB We lived in Orlando (still do) so that was an early day for us too. I can't remember if we drove up or got a hotel. Although I'm not optimistic, hoping that she might make it back down there again.
This streamliner is amazing! I have a Bachmann N scale model of her now. I received it in the mail the same day 611 made it back to Roanoke VA.
I was born in 1991. I loved trains since I was 2 years old. And still love them today. It's great that N&W 611 runs again after a years restoration in Spencer NC.
+Pinchie08 Glad you'll get the chance to see her! I've got a few railfan friends your age and a bit younger who were always jealous that I was just (barely) old enough to have done this.
+tjh8402 actually I never saw 611 up close in my life. I was born in Massachusetts.
Well time to take a quick trip down to VA. make an amtrak trip of it :-)
+tjh8402 I live in Florida today. First the Tampa area now I lived in Jacksonville FL. So make that I'll soon take a trip up to Roanoke VA.
+Pinchie08 Oh very good. I'm in Orlando. am up in Jax regularly.
I hope 611 does and excursion from JAX to Valdosta GA again sometime. She did well in the NS steam program this year in Virginia.
+Pinchie08 yes she did. I was on those trains. It was incredible the number of people on the train as well as railfanning. Living in Orlando, I would love it if she came to Jax again, but I'm not optimistic.
Great Whistles!
Great video. Will you be going to see 611 running this year? I'll be following it from Spencer, NC to Roanoke, VA. I never got to see her as a kid living in Virginia, but I did once see her big sister the 1218, in Manassas . When I chase after her on May 30th will be the first time I'll see her run under her own steam
+Ryan Shipp I did go ride it this last year. Was grateful to be able to have almost my whole family go again. My grandmother unfortunately passed a few years ago, but everyone else made it, and getting my grandfather, who's in this video, and largely responsible for my love of trains, to ride her again was something that meant a lot (he's now in his mid 80s). I'd love to go and ride her again this year but don't know if the travel budget will allow it. I'll go stalk your page to see if you got any good footage. My only regret this year is we only rode; didn't get the chance to chase.
+tjh8402 My grandfather got me into trains to. When I was four my family and I were moving into our new house in Haymarket, VA. My grandfather was helping us and our new house was about 100 feet from the NS line from Manassas, to Front Royal, and him and I walked down to the RR track and were just looking around when about 5 mins. after we got there, a steam engine rolled by. It was Southern 4501. My grandfather died a year later and I never got to see Southern 4501 after that until last summer, when she was in Bristol, Va. I video taped her last summer, and at the end of the video there is a dedication to my grandfather. Seeing 4501 was one of the best memories I have of my grandfather.
+tjh8402 I will be chasing and video recording N&W #611 from Spencer, NC to Asheville, NC, on April, 10th. I will also try to get to go to Bryson City, NC and video tape The Great Smokey Mountain Railroad #1702 Steam Locomotive, on her first trip since 2004. There is no exact date for completion of #1702, but I check their blog every day, so hopefully they will announce her completion soon. I'm also going to "TRY" to go up to Cumberland, MD to The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad and go see C&O 1309 on her maiden voyage on, I think, July 24 or 26. I can't remember the exact date. So keep checking my page.
OMG I would love for 1702 to be up and running again. My family rode behind her back in the 90s too. I'm not sure what my railfanning schedule looks like this year. I have a few other scheduling items to handle first.
+tjh8402 #1702 is supposed to be up and running by May. I've only seen video of her. I've never seen her in person.
What whistle was that on 482?
Oh wait, it is a D&RGW 5 Chime on 482.
First comment and thumbs up, great footage !
That's my friends aunt I been in there house
I went swimming in the Roberto's pool
they sound pretty incredible. I had doubts about the V6's initially but in person they really hit the right notes. Plenty of sound and fury signifying something.
Nice!!!!
the sounds of these engines is really a treat without music to mask them. Thanks
