Yukari went off in this episode 🔥I think she deserves some credit for leading to some character development for Mitsuru and Akihiko. The character gets hate by some people in the community but I honestly just think it's because they don't like how realistic she is lmao, I'd have to wonder how they handle day to day interactions irl. Like she's asking all the questions any reasonable normal person would, sure she doesn't always respond to things the right way but she's also a teenage girl with a troubled childhood so that's not really surprising. All of the characters in SEES have character flaws, a lot of them just aren't as obvious as Yukari's or Junpei's for example. I have also always felt like she's somewhat of a secondary protagonist, with her own story arc and motivations for being there that could totally still service this story on their own if she were to have more focus. Also you nearly gave me a heart attack at 46:04 cus you skipped a really important line about her dad being promoted by "Kirijo-san" to head researcher (this is of course why she cares so much about this.) but then I remembered it comes back up in Yakushima. 😂 Also this is the reason she hasn't been fucking with Mitsuru the whole game, and it's valid. I feel like everybody who criticizes her on that straight up just forgot that was even a plot thread. She establishes very early on that the only reason she's even going to Gekkoukan is because the Kirijo Group built it and she is trying to find out about the explosion that took place. We know now that her father was directly connected to the incident, which was hinted at but not revealed until now. Btw, Yuri Lowenthal is here as a cameo because he voiced the MC in the original. Ken is technically properly introduced here, but if you explore around the shrine on certain Sundays you can see Yukari and/or Junpei interacting with him before this point in the story. Just as an aside, you cooked with that Durarara comparison. That's still one of my favorite anime ever and Persona 3 has been one of my top favorite games for like half my life now lmao. I gotta reevaluate everything after Reload dropped
