The Guardian is the main antagonist of the mod. "The Guardian/The Darkness" is a massive pile of corruption that has a smiling emoji as either its main host, or part of its body naturally. Its body remains the same as in the Learning With Pibby! trailer, being a glitching black substance with multi-colored artifacts surrounding it. The emoji is covered in large patches of the corruption, with its eyes completely covered by the substance and its left pupil glowing bright red as seen in its artwork. The Guardian is the physical manifestation of pure evil and malice. It enjoys torturing different characters in the entire mod and belittles them while doing so, deeming them "pitiful." It takes great enjoyment from preventing dead characters' souls from entering the afterlife and keeping them in the living realm, endlessly torturing them, which it has done to BunBun. It is also persistent about convincing others to give up and allow it to take over, showing off its more egotistical and overconfident side. Pibby is the main protagonist of Learning With Pibby. Pibby is a short girl with light purple hair tied into two buns, she has light blue skin, she has no hands or feet, more like curved stubs at the ends of her arms and legs. She has large round eyes with black pupils. During the "Apocalypse" her hair is put down, she wears an eye-patch to cover up her damaged eye, one of her arms is also bandaged up, she carries a brown bag and wields a large sword.
