He was the best. It has been a hard summer with him being gone and no longer on the boat with me. The only thing that is not complete is the new canvas. However, when the boat is pulled and tucked into winter storage the canvas guys will be over to get that taken care of. There will be a video!

I have several videos on my channel. Trying to get more comfortable being on camera for next season.

It was very tight! Luckily I got into the dock before the 30 mph winds kicked up later that afternoon. At that point, the ferries actually deflected a lot of the wind.

Now to learn how to set them up lol. I need an instruction manual.

Yes, the autopilot will either just hold a heading or will follow the waypoints of the GPS. Garmin does have a feature called AutoRouting and that one function will only work with a Garmin autopilot.

How does it connect to the steering?

It connects to the steering system thru a dedicated pump in the steering hydraulic system. When the autopilot is engaged that pump takes priority for steering. In other words, you will NOT see the helm wheel turning as the autopilot changes course. So the autopilot receives a turn left or right signal from the GPS and is basically moving fluid to turn the boat. Sorry it took me so long to answer....it has been a rough summer.

It did not remove the wax on my boat which is why I liked it better that the black streak remover I had been using. To be sure with your wax you should try it on a small area of your boat to see for sure. I am interested if it does or not.

That does sound a bit scary!

@@jetlag4754 I was 10 or so. My dad decided to try to get to Cedar Point from Put in Bay. It was intense. Then we hit a submerged bridge stanchion N of Grosse Isle, ripped a hole and we started sinking. Mom couldn't swim??? Good times.

Sorry it took me so long to answer. I just had a partial hip replacement and I am trying to get back 100%. I do believe that the autopilot can be used just to hold a heading.

Jared I am still working out the "bugs". If I place a waypoint on the map the autopilot works great. However, if I try to do autorouting it will not work. I have been told for the auto-routing to work you have to have a chart subscription and not just the charts that come with the chartplotter. I have not been able to confirm this with Garmin yet.

Yes they always do a great job with the shrinkwrap. I always have a door installed so that I can check on the boat several times over the winter. I have been known to sit and the helm and daydream about the upcoming season.

@@jetlag4754 nice! Wish we could say we’re even wrapped - marina says AFTER the holidays. Now we just have hope no major snow. But spring will be here before we know it!

They were dredging behind my dock after I had pulled for the winter. For some reason they thought it would be a good idea to move the scoop over the boat that sits next to mine. They dropped the load of muck all over the guys boat! As you can imagine that did not go over well.

Thanks. I am still trying to get comfortable flying my drone over the water. Love the footage I can get with it. Hope to do more on the water next year with my drone which is a Skydio2.

I love the Lake Erie Islands Frank. When I retire next year I plan to start cruising more of the lakes and maybe venture into Canada. Thanks for watching.

@@jetlag4754 Yep, Boogaboo lost his into the water when his battery died before he could get back to it :)

Not sure if you watch Scho and Jo, the young couple that bought a trawler and did the Great Loop, but they lost their drone also. It was flying and had a prop malfunction and it hit the ground and became many pieces really quick.

Wow what a small world! I dock at Holiday Harbor Marina on A docks down on the river end. My marina is now owned by the Solberg family and has been for several years. I have docked there since 2001 and all my boats have been named Jetlag. We had to have passed on the river at some time. Hope to see more of your videos living it up in the Bahamas. @@jetlag4754 Talking about the Solberg's, Mike and Connie Solberg will be stopping for a visit with us here on our boat in Jacksonville this coming weekend. We always have a great time with them.
