Janov - American Apocalypse [Harsh Noise] (2024)
On November 6th, 2024, I woke up to the news that Donald Trump won the election. The scars of his first administration were finally starting to heal; now once again I was going to spend the next four years in a constant state of fight-or-flight. I tried my best to limit my social media usage for the next three weeks and keep what tiny little bit of hope I had left alive, but eventually I completely broke down.
This is the result of that breakdown.

How do you create the music you end up creating? What software do you use? I'm curious.
@@opera_him A laptop, a MIDI keyboard, Reaper, and some synth VSTs I got from Plugins 4 Free. I’m poor as dirt and can’t afford real physical synthesizers, so I try to make do with what’s available.

idk why but this makes really nice background music... oscillation felt more like a weird jam thingy whereas this is just a bunch of loud sound effects & static but its nice!

i listened to the whole thing, weirldly hypnotic actually!! if this had key changes n stuff but with the same texture to it i reckon it would be pretty cool (idk if that counts as noise though)
@@saltedmutton7269 It was my first attempt at making a harsh noise album, and the first time I try to make any kind of music is awkward. My first ambient album "New Horizons?" Awkward. My first stab at vaporwave, the "Santa Claus on Mars" EP? Epic cringe! But eventually I get the hang of things.
