Usually the army attacking has fewer units than the squads at the beginning. When you have the Roman Generals attacking, they are always outnumbered.

I think the Roman Generals should avenge their fallen comrades.

@7:30 - Once the circle was complete, the body pile allowed a limited # of cavemen to attack at once. Easily dealt with. Classic case of ranged weapon vs melee. I thought Soldier would win at this time frame. @9:30 - once the Space Soldiers started pushing out (leaving a hole in the center of the circle), the Soldier body count started going up. At this point, I think Cavemen will will.

Once the circle completed around @7:30, the body pile allowed only a fixed # of cavemen in to attempt attack. Classic case of ranged weapon vs melee.

Wow! This one had me switching winning sides several times! One of the best battles i have seen and what an epic final stand! This one got me to hit the subscribe button

I'm wondering why no supporting artillery once the enemy line was identified? Also what I see is rifle shot, no suppressing fire from MGs. But hey I wasn't there..

Why can't you ever use saxons celts paladins knights templar medieval knights any one of the roman armies or gondorian armies demon knights gladiators ect. ? If I knew how to do this, the battles would be massive. So sick of goblins zombies ostriches & all those other stupid armies.

This was a time when 2 soldiers could have made a difference. Throwing them to the wolves like that affected the outcome

You know an army is rotten when you see them with 40 to 1 numerical superiority and still think "Hmm... maybe"

Not a fair fight if there is a group of over 100 not helping. It may not seem like much but they're are moments where that could have tipped the balance.

Footmen

pls play this battle again with additional 5000 archers in the middle. I think this would change the result.

There were 1.5m footmen, not 1.3!

Be honest with the numbers. You said 1.3 million footmen and they started with just over 1.5 million. That's over 200,000 additional troops. Edit after the end: The Generals and Samurai would have won had you not lied about the numbers initially and actually put only 1.3 million footmen in. They finished with 181,291 footmen left...

I liked the channels that formed... but perhaps just set the knights to attack at the end. I know you like to just let it happen, but i can't imagine a group just sitting idle while their friends were massacred

Spartans wern't allowed to move, which cost them the battle.
