There is no such thing as an incurable disease, and that includes MND. The fact that physicians, scientists, or researchers don't know the root of a disease, doesn't mean it is unknown to all. The cure of any disease is on the tip of the tongue - so to speak.

I'm reading Royd Tolkien's book right now, and it's a beautiful tribute to his brother. Lots of tears resulting so far. I highly recommend it.

Good on you David. My partner Gerry was diagnosed at about the same time as you were but unfortunately did not last as long as you have. He also believed in getting out as much as possible too. We had a wee coat made for our dog and they would ride the busses and trains and go all over town. We had a group of friends who came every night for about a year. They brought food, did the dishes and winched him into bed somewhere else and they were still there to get him into bed. . It was a dinner party of eight every night unless we went out. You are very brave and I admire that. HOW MY HUSBAND GOT CURED FROM Amyotrophic lateral Sclerosis ALS . what you have said is so so true. Steve my brother had mnd we delt with things are they came, but we talked about how to cope with the many many challenges before they were there, then we were sort of prepared. well done to all of you for speaking together not only as a couple but as a family.

your u tube is brilliant, my brother sadly passed away last november he lived with mnd for 2 years 8 months, but he was like you he made every day count, out for coffee, meals, cinima, holidays, and many hotel breaks. he has a daughter of 9 and a son aged 27 and he never got to see his grandson who is 6 months old, but he did know that he was coming into the world, i wish Steve had made a u tube message for other people to be inspired by, but we never did do one. he would have said the same xxx
